  1. It was a dull autumn day when Juan Alfonso Fontonajo, Román Esteban Fontonajo's heir and current commander in chief of the Castillo de Nova Terreli and the city's armed forces, entered a battered tavern in the shady parts of Nova Terreli, with no guards at his side. A farmer went slightly behind Juan Fontonajo. Inside the dive a lot was going on, but the loudest turmoil could be heard from a table in the background. Sailors, harbour-workers and other men stood there, arms drawn, centered around a small pig on top of the table. Fontonajo approached them, fearlessly: "My dear friends, what is going on in here?" "We gonna kill dat pig!", shouted one of them. "This honourable farmer here told me you stole his pig and threatened him? Tell me, is that true?", Fontonajo said, looking at the men? "He named da pig Fernando Augusto! Like da mad king! Traitor he is! Be happy we ain't hanging him, Sir!" "Ah, my friends, I see", Fontonajo laughed. "I guess we have some misunderstanding here. You don't think that he names a pig, of all the animals, to actually honour the king?" "Ehrm... Well..." "See, I guess we have solved our problem now. In fact all this good man did was mock Fernando Augusto by naming a dirty pig after him." "Yer right, Sir Fontonajo! Very right! But da pig Fernando gotta die!", the man with the meat cleaver exclaimed! "Hold on. First let me show you how I deal with a pig that does not behave himself", Fontonajo said in a calm voice. He took a quick step forward, grabbing the apple that the pig was currently eating. "First I take away from the pig everything it desires!" He took a step back, and held the apple up high. "Then I take it away from the pig's limited sight. And after that all we can do is laugh at that pig!" "Fontonajo!!!", one of the men jubilated. "Deal with the pig!", another shouted. "Fontonajo should be our king!", one exclaimed. And then things escalated quickly. One of the men suddenly held a crown in his hand, wherever he had gotten that one from, and put it onto Juan Fontonajo's head. "King of the Colonies!", he exclaimed. "King of the Colonies!", the rest of the tavern began to shout, raising their arms in jubilation. "King of the Colonies! King of the Colonies! King of the Colonies! King of the Colonies! King of the Colonies!" Juan Alfonso Fontonajo however, with a massive smile on his face, took off the crown and spoke to the men: "You don't need no king! Yes, your king I could be, and what a great king I would indeed be!", he stated, confirmed by some jubilation from the crowd. "But we have seen that a king is not good for us here on Nellisa. You should decide for yourself. Your rulers should be those who actually care for you, not some random king in your distant homeland. There is no need for a crown. There is no need for a king in Nellisa. We all together shall rule this new Eslandola! Please remember that when the time comes." And with those words Fontonajo left the tavern. Back on the streets he still heard them, loud and clearly: "King of the Colonies!" "King of the Colonies!" Bonus shots of the whole MOC and of the guy who had a little too much to drink:
  2. <3 Finally - great to see Corrington join us in our rightful efforts against Mardier. And now I am so much looking forward to a joint force of Eslandola, Corrington and Oleon marching in union against a Mardierian fort in the new world. A man may dream, after all? Great MOC also, green jungle scenes really become more and more of your trademark. Absolutely fascinating! What I think you could improve on, though, is the selection of faces. With all people in uniforms I think that should be the one thing distinguishing them, bringing variation and detail. Their posing and walking in line, which is as good as it could be in a jungle (ordered, but not inch-perfect) is great however.
  3. Looks absolutely fantastic, I love Pontelli's style more and more every day! Perfect!
  4. Stil haven't commented on this fantastic ship, the slimness comes over perfectly! This are some well invested 100 DBs!
  5. The amount of effort you keep putting in your storytelling, but also your photography acommpanying the story, is amazing as always! Small criticism: In the third pic your flags wave in different directions unfortunately. The ship, though maybe slightly too short, looks really cool, the dragon on the sail is such a nice detail. Also I like the use of static rifles!
  6. Amazing troops, and an amazing amount of them! Great fort in the background as well - good luck!
  7. Great interior scene. You know you did a great job on an interior when everything is clearly recognisable - which is definitely the case here. I might steal that lovely frogleg-design for the table.
  8. The activity and business displayed in this small MOC is amazing. Really captures the KMA-atmosphere perfectly, great job. Also great brickbuilt canon!
  9. Another stunning huge ship from you, great work.
  10. I still think that's one of the best shots we have seen in BOBs - fantastic, I love it! A slight more blurring, now that I look at it again, in the background might have improved it even further I think. Definitely the cover for the KMA-book - if there will ever be one.
  11. Nice house with a good-looking interior, some cool minifig-poisng, and I like the road texturing as well. My favourite part is surely the cart, fits the time really well and looks great - wonderful work!
  12. Those two ships display so much fortitude, durability and pure strength, it's absolutely amazing. Your photography, the action scenes and the perfectly worked-out story make this another flawless challenge entry from your side. Fantastic work!
  13. Simple scene in a great presentation, I have to agree that I love this effect. But the minifig-selection and especially their faces shows such a love for details - amazing!
  14. Another stunning creation! Nothing else to say than "brilliant"! I also really love that both Corrington and Oleon have already reacted to the recent Eslandolan actions, BoBS is heating up. :-)
  15. I know them from the latest Frozen Set and bought a bunch at bricklink. Thanks for the comments, blackdeathgr and Capt Wolf. Those praises keep making me happy! :-)
  16. Absolutely wonderful, a place where everyone wants to live! Fantastic, I love it. Also inspiring ideas to use the windows for the boats.
  17. A small plantation (deer hunting) in the hinterland of Fuerte Unido.
  18. The "Eagles of Terreli" are some of Eslandola's finest soldiers in the colonies. The group of mercenaries, despite their very individual arms (some of them wear old-fashioned weapons like shields, axes or even a bow), show a high level of discipline. Their creativity, motivation and especially their individuality, resulting in a large variety of unique skills, makes them perfectly suited for the small conflicts on the islands. Thus they were sent to protect Eslandola's claims on Isla de Victoria. Just a few hours ago they had attacked a company of Mardierians by surprise and captured their flag. Which they were no about to burn. The Eagles of Terreli always had a huge level of amusement, resulting in great comraderie. The had also captured some goodies. In fact, they had taken two oxen, some bread, apples and bananas and carrots. And a rowing boat. And some wheels and some yellow leather. Combining those materials they quickly crafted a rowboat-carriage, towed by an ox. One of them rode the other ox. Obvious solution, of course. Right now they made halt at one of their outposts, a small watchtower. The eagles who were on watch there were also responsible for hunting, so supply Fuerte Unido with meat. Which they did with some great success. Burning a Mardierian flag is always great fun. Always.
  19. What a nice ending to your great storyline. You cannot get enough praise for all the love and effort you have put into that, fantastic work. THANK YOU for entertaining us all! The bank looks really nice, and I absolutely see no reason at all why you shouldn't license it.
  20. Please remember that the "Pearl Diving Canoe" is a class 0. So no reason to worry or complain for any of you, just be happy with me. Ok? :-)
  21. Which would be more than absolutely fantastic for me as an MCTC member. :-) Thanks for your comment!
  22. Just wondering what has happened in that tavern. A bunch of pirates throwing around darts and arguing about... something. Is the floor covered in seas of blood already?
  23. Fantastic idea - looks really cool!
  24. Fantastic build, both parts are absolutely stunning! Definitely inspiring!
  25. The roof is fantastic (as is the story with uncle, as usual). You might use technic-pieces to put tiles on the bottom of the roof-construction as well, but that might also be pure overengineering. ;-) "Uncle, when will we see you again?"
