  1. Very well-designed interior, clean execution on facade, roof, street and grass. Accompanied by a nice story, what more could we wish? Two things I'd suggest as optimization: First picture is a bit overly shiniy, seems like non-perfect lighting conditions. And using the brown bricks from the wall of the house as base for the MOC under the street seems a bit weird. I would suggest either grey like the street, or dark tan if you want to go for soil/mud/sand/... Ah, and did I mention that your chairs are fantastic (might copy the design) and that the touches of blue-painted wood work out wonderfully? Great work!
  2. Pretty facade. Nice fence outside. Well built miniature furniture inside. Very clean and nice MOC all around, great work!
  3. What a pretty facade, and so much action going on inside - fantastic work!
  4. That third pic is fantastic!
  5. That would be great. I think best would be to hvae both, but the more information the better (and most of us can just remove terrain if neccessary), so in case we have to decide: Definitely with terrain from my point of view. Please let me / us know if there is any way to help.
  6. Suggestions: A) is a new creation, B) was already there. "Eslandolan navigators had made a mistake when steering for the bay of island 11 and instead landed on a small island in the direct vicinity of 8 / 13. Some Mardierian explorers (or maybe even pirates?) were spotted on the island, and it also had many of the geographical features known from island 11. So they thought it was island 11. It was only weeks after Fuerte Unido had been set up they realized that they had built a war-settlement in their own territory. At least they were safe from pirates now!" Might solve this whole mess...
  7. Where did I call you a liar? I said you claim something - I haven't heard from their side. And it's definitely 100% fine that you are inacitve for a while. Just don't come back and ignore what others have done in the meanwhile. Yes, I can accept that my settlement was put in the wrong place. I hope you can accept too that unfortunately noone told the public (still the majority of the people here) about the Mardierian presence? And that acting now like it was public knowledge is not right either. Sorry if I got personal, I did not intend to be, or to disregard all the effort you have put in this game. Really not. I just don't like what you are doing right now. However I am confident that leadership will find a solution (no sarcasm! I mean it) and will accept it. So: Really off from here.
  8. Really? I did not notice that. The first to the new world? Yes! Superpower? No. You contradict yourself. In the beginning of the topic you say "[...] the Bay of Good Hope has been considered a safe harbor for Mardieran traders for years now. [...] The island is well travelled and documented, [...]" - so not a single sailor has talked in not a single tavern? Really? Does not make sense to me. So the secret leadership forum is where the game is actually played? Good to know. There were several posts in the forum, even build-offs if I remember correctly. But don't you realise that exactly is the problem? You vanished for months (which is totally fine!), and others kept developing the storyline (isn't that supposed to be a community game?). Now you return and set your ideas above everything people have developed just for a plot you have had in mind months ago? Thank you for the suggestion. While I think it's a bad idea it's probably still the best option there is... Or our settlement might actually not be on island 11 itself but a small island before it, just noone had noticed? Or the real big Mardierian island with huge settlements which noone has seen pictures of yet might just be somewhere else? And island 11 would just be the one that Mardier has freshly claimed, like it was written in the "new islands" thread, the knowledge that everyone was working with? Can't you just swallow your pride and adapt your plot to what has actually been MOCed? Isn't that game about LEGO, rather than about story? Sorry for the harsh words, but that's exactly what it feels like. So where is that rule stating clearly that? I really cannot find it? The rules might need an update then. Very true, and I don't think anyone has spoken against this? Also Ska, I am sorry to say, but I think we all had one point only: WE HAD NO WAY TO KNOW! Except for our leadership telling us (at least that's what you claim) you did not talk about the real problem here. You might realise that I am not happy with the situation at all. Sorry for harsh words and sarcasm, maybe it even reads like a personal attack at some points. Sorry if that is the case. I have no intention of insulting you or disrespecting all of the effort you have put into setting up BoBS. You did an absolutely amazing job here, no doubt. Just a horrific situation this whole thing has maneuvered into, I hope there will be a solution. All said from my side, I won't continue reading this thread anymore. I will post another MOC on the island (which was already built before this thread showed up)., but then return to explored lands... Before you finalize a solution please consider that this whole thing has already driven the first person to leave the EGS... and if some pre-set plot is really so important that it is ok to see great and motivated builders leaving...
  9. The difference is simple: You knew we were on that island. You might as well have taken the risk, but knowingly. We didn't know sh*t. And once again: That Mardier is trying to remove us from the island and not allowing us to settle there is 100% fine.
  10. A potential small residence in Nova Terreli.
  11. Admiral L'Atour looked around discomposedly. Together with his daughter Cariste he had sailed to Nova Terreli on the island of Nellisa to meet some business partners. He was already at high seas when rumors reached them about the Eslandolan king attacking Oleon. Arriving at the city he was most worried. His loyal guard Pierre was with them, at least, as they hasted through the streets of the town (which had grown even more since his last visit), always in unrest. Suddenly three men stood before them, two obviously guards and the third, a young man with wild hair but a tended face, seemed to be their leader. L'Atour laid hand on his saber. "Bonjour, monsieurs, mylady.", the young Eslandolan said with a friendly voice. "Good day.", replied L'Atour. "You seem worried? May I help you?" "Worried? I am quite certain you have heard the rumors as well! Of your king attacking Oleander troops?", L'Atour said, slightly losening his saber. "Oh no, this man is not my king anymore. And for you, there is nothing to worry. I don't think aynone on our island will share any ill thoughts against Oleon. Au contraire, in Pontelli they've even had a demonstration pro-Oleon! If you still worry, though, I invite you to be my guests, and under teh full protection of me and my family.", the Eslandolan said. "Thank you for your gracious offer, Don. And we do not even know your name." "Oh, pardon my manners", the young Eslandolan said. "Joaquin Seramon Fontonajo, second son of Román Esteban Fontonajo, governor of Nellisa." And while his guards bowed to their knees to honour their Oleander guests, Joaquin Fontonajo stepped slightly forward, breezing a slight kiss on the lady's hand.
  12. Fantastic overall appearance of the MOC, a very solid looking blockhouse. Great work on this one.
  13. @SkaForHire Could we please get the detailed maps for the claimed islands (as an Eslandolan 8 and 13 in particular)? Thank you.
  14. Great to have you back and organising the reaction of Mardier! However I have a lot to criticize about the way you are doing it this time (purely OOC criticism). When claiming the new islands, island 11 was unclaimed at the beginning. Corrington claimed their islands, what if they had claimed island 11? Why did noone know Mardier already owned it? Also it does not make any sense that like 20 unknown islands were ready for the taking, but one of those had been a vivid trading port for three years already? Really? That does not make any sense in the slightest and surely would have been known at least from rumors. The rumors spoke of the natives, even of details like where they sail and where not, about all the elevations and jungles of the island - yet not at all of thousands of Mardierians living there, of many many trading ships sailing there? No sailor in any of the ports knew anything about a huge Mardierian trading region in the Prio seas? Absolutey unrealistic. Also someone should really tell Count Adwin Encarnacion that Eslandola has already declared war on Mardier several months ago? What annoys me about all that is that with this knowledge EVERYTHING would have been different. I don't think Eslandola would have chosen both islands 8 and 13 in direct vicinity to Mardier. I dont think we would have set up a settlement on island 11 like that, knowing how well it was already in Mardier's hands. We might have attacked nonetheless, but not with a settlement... I am not sure if I would have even MOCed there, let alone invested money into property licenses... Now a lot of real life effort has gone into this, and I feel personally betrayed. Again: Not IC, but OOC. Also imagine Eslandola would have put all that effort into its other settlements or one of the other newly claimed colonies, that would have been an immense economical benefit for us. Which now we didn't have either. Don't get me wrong. It's absolutely fine that Mardier is resisting. It's of course also fine that they don't have to create MOCs, that they can pay people to attack us, that they can even "cheat" - all that is absolutely cool for me, no trouble at all. But please properly and realistically. Had they started their settlements a month ago - fine for me. Like that - no! I feel that your reaction is both unrealistc and unfair like that - and thus takes away fun of the game. For me. Not sure how the other members of operation KMA feel? No, it has not been. Not in the slightest, apparently.... EDIT: Addition: I don't want to say that you are abusing your power as gamemaster against Eslandola and for your own benefit. Because I absolutely do not think that's the case here.
  15. Building in a colour which you don't have many bricks of is always painful. You did a great job at those dark tan rocks nonetheless. Background: I think it's harmonic with the dark tan and works well in that way. However for presenting a better contrast of your rockwork to classical grey rockwork another background might have worked better. The minifigs in action as well as especially all those tools lying around make this MOC fantastic - a great work!
  16. Román Esteban Fontonajo, the mayor of Nova Terreli, would like to further discuss the next steps with you in private. (Means: I'd like to have some PM-talk with you but for some reason seem to not be able to start new conversations. Can you?)
  17. The captain of the Cotton Lady had some struggles deciding whether to accept an escort from "the crown" at this stage in time. But then as he realized that it was the honorable Guy K. Wyndzon who organized the flotillas, he decided to join the Dragon's Teeth.
  18. Thanks for the great comments. The floor technique was definitely inspired by some of Kai's MOCs, just added my own little additions. I have to agree that the photos aren't too great. I still struggle a bit with interiors, and today was a really dark day, which made photography even harder. And yeah, I totally wanted to get this one done today. And of course the pig Fernando is still alive. They are currently discussing whether they should rename him so he can live in peace for the rest of his life.
  19. Why would I even comment on the great story and great ship when there is this first picture! Stunningly beautiful, absolutely fantastic, simply amazing, mega impressive. What else to say? Perfect!
  20. You really set up a lot of scenes for that contribution. Great work. I'd really love to see the whole thing. As Bregir has pointed out the photography might need some improvement for some of the shots. I would generally advise you to take pics at good daylight, cloudy mostly works out better than sunny, definitely without any artificial lightning (like lamps), and without camera flash. Taking pics at 11:00 is alway better than taking them at 21:00. Aside from that I myself am far from being an expert and am often enough not too happy with my own results. My two favourite pics are the room with the scribbler and of course the room with all the gold and gems, that wall texturing seems great.
  21. A rather simple scene, but well executed. That inner yard looks really nice, not the first one I have seen from you, are they becoming your special trademark? Neat idea as well.
  22. A very nice approach to a tavern, which definitely displays some fantastic concepts. Not too much of a fan of the roof, but the crowded terrace is absolutely superb. Very nice work overall.
  23. Why haven't I commented here? Fantastic work, and that colouring of the wood is brilliantly clever. Nice display of activity going on, and just a great flair overall.
  24. Unfortunately the first picture is a bit too blurry, but aside from that I don't have anything to criticize! A fantastic scene with great action, the destruction of the ship is being displayed perfectly. The approach is really cool in itself, MOCing just a part of the ship without hull, I like this idea. Great work.
  25. A tavern in Nova Terreli, licensable as commerce.
