Settlement: Nova Terreli, Nellisa, Eslandola
Elostirion replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Announcement: If you MOC in Nova Terreli, but cannot license your MOC yet, the city will buy the license. You have a life-long buyback right at the initial price, starting three months after the initial licensing. No loss for you, but a gain for the city. You may negotiate special conditions with the mayor. Note for myself: Fundings for October have yet to be paid. Also if I see correctly all that we lack is 2 factory-points to become a Large City!- 81 replies

Due to horrific lighting conditions the pictures suck. I will make new ones and upload them next weekend. Because it's the end of the month I will post them now already, so I can license them. Please address all your complaints about photography directly to the EGS. Many wealthy Eslandolan merchants have a secondary domicile in Montario. Being close to governor Román Esteban Fontonajo never hurts, and much of the island's real business is already being made in Montario. Also it's location right between Nova Terreli and Pontelli makes it an even more important stop on every journey.

Please address all your complaints about photography to the EGS. In his warehouse in Montario Román Fontonajo stores only those things that are needed in a town of wealth such as Montario. Especially food, but also some jewellery and fine clothes, and of course wine, beer and other alcoholic drinks. Most of the owners of the local food stores or restaurants come to his warehouse to buy their supplies. Like the young lady, who owns a small restaurant "Annetta", where you can enjoy the finest taste of Corrington's kitchens. Of course Román is negotiating prices with her.

[ESL] Governor's Palace, Nellisa
Elostirion replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks for your comments, guys - I appreciate those a lot! :-) I have added a guesthouse to meet the size requirements. The whole thing now qualifies as a "Viceroy's Palace".- 18 replies

A guesthouse in direct vicinity to the Governor's Palace in Montario on the island of Nellisa. Here Fontonajo's guests can reside during their stay. The finest food is served, providing a great foundation for some business the next day. With this MOC I fulfill the size requirements for a Governor's Palace (also called "Viceroy's Palace", rank 4 residence).

Is this still valid? And also, does this only apply to the costs and the licensing process, or does it also apply to the MOCs? i.e. for a large fort will I have to MOC three MOCs, one small, one medium, one large?

Congratulations to all winners - some great entries and some well-deserved victories Thank ypou for the second place in cat B - really appreciate that. :-) Amazing individual prices this time around, very creative, please keep that up. The facton-prices might become more creative in the future as well Really weird faction ranking, please try to adapt it next time Great idea Ayrlego, and well executed, on those micros!

I always appreciate your storytelling alongside the MOCs. Great job. The MOC itself holds some very creative ideas, and has a great overall appeal - I like that. However I have to admit that your photography takes away a lot of the quality from the MOC, unfortunately. The pictures are really blurry, which distracts from the great LEGO model. I assume those are cellphone-pictures? Maybe stabilizing the cellphone with some kind of tripod might help?

Any estimate on when there will be a decision?

I licensed it as "Nova Terreli", not as "Elostirion". Nova Terreli was supposed to be the owner pay, the license fees, and earn the income.

[ESL] Governor's Palace, Nellisa
Elostirion replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you. Courage is the foundation of success, isn't it? Thank you very much for your kind words. Let's see whether Román ends up at the gallows some day... :-) Thank you, quite some effort went into both MOC and story. Glad you like it. Thank you! Will have to add a bit more to reach the size limitations of the "Viceroy's Palace". So some more will come. :-) Thank you, as you know the story has already progressed. Nellisa is rising! You see those guards? But feel free to come as visitors and friends any day of the year. The Fontonajo family welcomes every honourable citizen of the brickseas, regardless of nationality. Thank you so much! Thank you so much - for both the words and your sword! I might need that at some point. ;-) Rolling they are indeed. Thank you! Glad someone mentioned the flower-flag. Thank you very much! Thank you, I really wanted to fill that palace with life. Thank you, I already took your comment and when I will MOC my addition to reach the required size for a Viceroy's Palace, I will add some brown plates for nicer edges. The charter by Eslandola was granted, though I will have to MOC some more to meet the size requirements. Thank you for your comment, glad you noticed the flag. The roof is my personal favourite part as well (and actually the first thing that I had in mind when I started). Thank you for the kind words! I personally prefer the exterior over the interior as well. And thank you once again for all your effort in the storyline! Was some massive fun! :-)- 18 replies

[COR - Oct FB3] Salt Pork Factory, Mooreton Bay
Elostirion replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I feel absolutely honoured by that MOC. Fantastic job at recreating so many elements and small details even of my original MOC. Lovely! :-) Also salt pork is a great idea, and you managed to display the whole process so nicely. Fantastic. It also provides a great story on why it is lowered into the ground.- 12 replies

A Turtle Race during the Octoberfest. Might be licensed as a small commerce, as turtle races take place every Sunday in Weelond. :-)- 80 replies

The turtle race at the annual Weelond Octoberfest always was a lot of fun. Bella Cardena was the lady in charge of the event... Bets could be place, food could be bought and of course a lot of wine and beer was consumed as well. All for he fun of the people. And some money, of course. Those turtles had to eat, after all. Within a day Bella Cardena made more than many labourers made in a month. That was during Octoberfest, which lasted quite a few days. And the best thing was... Turtle Races in Weelond did not only take place in October. They actually did every Sunday and had made Bella quite a rich businesswoman. But someone else profited as well. Bella had a long-term contract with Román Fontonajo, who had helped her in her early days, when there were no turtle enthusiasts in Weelond. Román delivered food, wine, beer - and of course new turtles whenever they were needed.

I think I can answer this already. KaiNRG discussed my claim for a "Royal License" with the leadership, and the result was basically that it has to have 10.000 studs. At least for the Royal Residence. What I don't yet know, though, is whether in your MOC the count would be 4.608 (2x48x48) or 7.680 (including the 3x32x32).

I wanted to license my Governor's Palace on Nellisa as the highest level of residence ("Viceroy's Palace"), which unfortunately was rejected by the leadership team, because I did not meet the size requirements of 100x100 studs (=10.000). That's perfectly fine for me. So now I will add another MOC to it and will then be able to license it. My question however is: How does it count interiors? Here are the details: * exterior scene: 6.500 studs * interiors second floor: 500 studs * interiors first floor: 1.400 studs Does it count as a total of a) 6.500 studs b) 7.000 studs c) 8.400 studs I personally think it should be either b) or c), but would definitely love to hear a leadership-decision for this. This might also be key to future royal MOCs (e.g. imagine a hotel with 50x40 baseplate (=2.000) but five floors fully detailled interiors - should this qualify or not?)

[ESL] A Schoolhouse for Salida Este

A lovely building, looks really cute. A full shot of the interior would have been great, looks promising. My favorite parts are the irregular offset at the corners as well as the bell - great work!- 3 replies
