  1. Very effective space-wise, but accessibility isn't great. To get one small part out you need to remove the case, unlock it, open the lid, take out the part, close the lid, lock it and put the case back in the rack... To be honest I also use this kind of cases, but I only have five of them and it already gets annoying when I need to unlock and open the lids all the time. And they take so much space when open that keeping several of them open at the same time is difficult with the limited space I have...
  2. Oh, but it is INSANELY DIFFICULT! We (Gouniaf and I) are just so awesome and unbelievably skilled! :-P
  3. That would be 1% of the REVENUE at the RETAIL prices. This has very little to do with the PROFIT of TLG. To calculate the TLG profit you would have to know their wholesale price of the set and the total cost of making it to calculate the difference. And then take 1% from THAT number, not from retail PRICE. One more thing: 1% from $60 is 60 cents, not 6 cents..
  4. All orange parts are from the set.
  5. Coded messages are sent to the IR receiver which in turn controls the servo by varying the voltage delivered to it.
  6. ^ What he said. Exactly :)
  7. One important think to remember is that the train remote does not offer true proportional steering anyway. When you turn the wheel on remote it sends a series of "increase"/"decrease" commands and each causes the servo to turn one "step". So the angle of the servo does not depend directly on the posion of the wheel, but on the number of command it receives. The red button sends "return to neutral" command. The regular PF remote sends "incease to max" and "decrease to min" commands, which are not available from train remote.
  8. Very well designed! But clearly "a bit" too wide
  9. As I wrote before, I have no problem whatsoever with the fact that you used non-Lego bricks, and the structure fits the "diorama" quite well. I only don't quite like that you put the Lego logo next to them.
  10. No, Lego never made such curved fence part (I believe it is a Sluban part: http://www.slubanshop.com/products/pirate/sluban-piratenschip-m38-b0127.html). Also the arch that the fence sits on is not a Lego part. I suspect the whole dark gray structure may not be Lego, what is generally OK for me, but not quite when there is a LEGO trademark logo placed next to it...
  11. Yes, but T1 does not mean Type 1. It is VW Transporter T1 (i.e. version/generation 1). Or VW Type 2 T1 if you prefer :)
  12. Ah yes, indeed. The information available earlier was that it will only be from October 1st to 4th, so just four days. It was probably a typo then.
  13. So we will get full two weeks? Great! Poor Americans...
  14. So you say that with tens of active discussions currently taking place about all things Lego, you do not have anything meaningful to post?... And you are only interested in showing your creations, but have no interest to e.g. post your comments and observations about other people's works or participate in any way in any of the discussions?... But you probably expect other people to write meaningful comments about your works, don't you?
  15. You do realize it is a toy, don't you?... Kids think (I know mine do) that it is super cool feature and they love it. If feature considered great by kids is in your opinion pointless in A TOY, then you're obviously missing the right perspective... Oh, by the way: I love those connected wings too! :)
  16. Good question... Double points promo is already active at the US S@H (even though it is just past midnight EST), but nothing at the European site :( I hope TLG didn't decide to ignore customers from their home continent...
  17. As far as I understand the Lego sets will be based on the movie, not the game.
  18. Great, very useful part!
  19. Well, they can still release it e.g. as early access for VIPs by the end of the month.
  20. Probably not, but I eliminated spring shooters from my build, so no need for any missiles here. Of course.
  21. Good job! Luckily my X-wing has good canopy...
  22. Not at all, why would I? :)
  23. Yes, but in the Lego model the upper wing is based on a single 6 x 12 wedge plate. Making properly split wings would require replacing that part with a few smaller pieces and I wasn't interested in such change.
