I can do more: post the LDD file. Just give me a few minutes. EDIT: Here it is: http://vodnik.net/lego/75103-XL.lxf

The Poe's X-Wing is just beautiful in Lego form! But those wings are ugly... They barely resemble the real thing. The T-70 wings should close to a single thin wing surface with lower wing forming the front half and the rear half becoming the rear half. Well, actually they are not halves, as the rear / upper wings are wider than front / lower ones. Unfortunately TLG decided to only slightly modify the original T-65 design from their 9493, and as a result the upper and lower wings do not meet the way they should and there is actually an ugly see-through one plate wide gap between them!!! It just sucks... The spring shooters added to the wing tips also look ugly in my opinion. TLG wing: Luckily the solution was quite simple. I used mostly parts from the set with just a few 1x2, 2x2, 2x4 and 2x6 black plates and a few grey Technic bushes added. Now my T-70 looks the way it should! Well, in my opinion of course

It's actually 6 studs: 4 in the front and 2 in the rear. The wheels are still there in their original positions relative to front and rear of the vehicle (so further apart from each other) - it was just standing on a soft surface for photos, so they sunk in it.

Hard to say, but if we can trust this drawing, then quite long: http://youbentmywookie.com/wookie/gallery/0815_star-wars-the-force-awakens-coloring-book/star%20wars%20the%20force%20awakens%20coloring%20book_5.JPG

Indeed, but with only four FO troopers + Phasma in the original set, my transporter is now seriously understaffed... All hope in the FO BP that is supposed to be in the January wave.

I mentioned already in other threads that in my opinion the 75103 FOT is significantly too short. It is really well designed set and after I built it myself I understand why TLG decided to make it this short - it is quite big anyway! But I still decided to improve the look at least a bit by lengthening it somewhat. I didn't want to fully redesign it, just extend existing design, so I went for a moderate six stud long extension. So my FOT is still too short, but looks much better than the TLG version. At least I think so I created the extended version in LDD first and then built the real one. For comparison the original TLG design:

This is the first time I post pics of any of my own Lego creations. To be honest I'm not good at it at all - I'm more a collector than a creator/designer. Anyway, I wasn't at all happy with the tiny ITT included in the 75078 an wanted to have a Lego built version of this vehicle, so building my own was the only option. I originally planned to use mostly parts from three 75078s I bought, but in the end most parts had to be sourced elsewhere... I started by building a "prototype" using various old bricks I had, then once I had a good idea what I want to achieve, I created a full design in LDD. Then I ordered from Bricklink all the required parts that were not in my collection already and the final result is below. It's nothing particularly fancy or fully accurate, but I like it. I didn't try to make it exact minifig scale - just big enough to fit three figs in the cockpit and six troopers at sides.

Technically neither. They are from SW Battlefront game. Should be basically OT based, but who knows...

Scored 42043 Arocs today for US $173 / €155 -
I just scored big time from one of the Polish online retailers. They offer prices about 15% below S@H prices to begin with, and today offered further 23% off! So I got 75105 TFA Millennium Falcon for approx. US $123 / €111, 75104 Kylo's Shuttle for US $97 / €87, 75102 Poe's X-Wing for US $72 / €65 and 75101 FO TIE for US $55 / €50 I should have them tomorrow Now I only wonder how will the canopy part in the X-Wing look like... But there is always TLG Customer Service in case I get a bad one

Use the same method as for de-yellowing of old bricks. Place your bricks in hydrogen peroxide solution and leave it in direct sunlight. After several hours - possibly even a couple of days - the colors will fade somewhat.

The MF instructions are now online.

Errr... they are not vents. Just painted stripes and they were indeed blue, although not azure (if I remember correctly some troopers in the OT had black stripes too). Their exact meaning in SW canon isn't quite clear. But some troopers didn't have them at all in the movies, others had various numbers of them.

Nope, different dates for other EU countries. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2488496/releaseinfo

Is it a joke or something?... Of course Lego is Danish. Prices in Europe are higher mostly because of much higher taxes, but also simply because toys are generally cheaper in the US, so to stay competitive in that market TLG have to adjust their pricing accordingly.

I hope not. Chrome seems to be much too bright for Phasma. Nickle plated on the other hand - yes, please! -
There is no old and new LBG. Old one was Light Gray, new one (relatively... the change took place in 2003, so 12 years ago) is Light Bluish Gray.

Maybe it is a "he", but it clearly DOES have eyelashes. They are clearly visible in the photo above... Maybe they are man's eyelashes...
-
I'm pretty sure it is a female indeed - I believe that only female minifigs have eyelashes.

Actually they do sometimes. I just bought a complete (in parts of course) Asajj Ventress and some time ago Sabine Wren was available (minus the helmet :( ).

If you mean this: then it is just the front half of the transporter. The rear half is missing completely. Compare to this drawing and note the location of raised detail on top deck (in Lego set represented by spring shooters): http://youbentmywook...ring book_5.JPG For me it is just another proof that the Lego version is about half as long as it should be.

Yeah, so far we have not seen any proof of existence of such flaps...
