Since when has BestBuy sold Bonkles? And at a crappy price. ._. But has anybody noticed the Skull villains are all only trans/metalic/black in color scheme?

I'm still hoping for a special/limited edition set to fill in the two absent blended masks. You'd think they would make something like that accessible to everyone.

I guess I'll have to be happy with my trans orange Hau for now. -.- Still hoping for Matoran remakes with recolored Toa masks though. *sigh*

^Well we barely have any information at all in G2 so far, you could say the exact thing about the first wave in Gen 1.

Yeah, prior to getting Gali I also thought that she used the IFB azure(pretty hard to tell from review pics) but I'd say I like her blue a lot better as a primary, especially over the blue that we've gotten over the last 4 years. I do hope they use the metru blue again though, as armor that is.

Dumb question but was Gali's blue ever used in constraction? I never collected blue sets in the early 01-03 days.

^You should write books. Anyways you had a lot of good points there that made me realize a few things. Particularly I guess I preferred the look of the pistons because it had more detail and gave the Gen 1 sets the sort of tribal feel that was the core of Bio, as the CCBS armor was more so designed for the future theme of HF with a cleaner look(didn't the 1.0 arms have a practical use of piston aaesthetic? ) so I guess it's still hard for me to adjust. But we could use more of those practical uses in a new torso armor piece and foot. Also the Protector's use of the new add-on as a torso is probably my favorite implementation of that piece. -

Then say that. >_< Just kidding. :P Anyways I've never been one for these contests, although I did make an entry in 2010 regarding Garrdus(?). I thought claiming it was the remnants of Teridax left over in the fallen robot was good too...

It doesn't have to change style, keep in mind HF used the piston aesthetic clad pieces in its first wave. And the designers obviously believe piston aesthetics is a fairly large part in the theme, or otherwise they wouldn't be implementing it in the armor add-ons and weapons. -
I certainly hope Gen 2 has a bright future. I'm just worried they'll drop functions. -.-

Hm, decent MoC for what you get out of the sets. I like the top-heaviness. Speaking of HF it seems like everybody pretty much has stopped really doing anything with it. :P Again, nice MoC.

^Speaking of which, I've noticed in the recent magazines(why do they keep sending them, I registered in 06' -.-) that there has been some scarce advertising of Bionicle, with only the two pages in each of the last two mags. I guess it could be because of that pamphlet they gave earlier this year, but I'm still afraid that if they don't promote it more it won't make the necessary sales and end up like HF, which I think had a serious lack of advertising aside from the television specials.

Exactly, people tend to forget that the piston aesthetic IS Bionicle. As I've seen people complain about the abundance of it in Gen 1 in favor of the bland-in-comparison CCBS armor, and some may back that up with "Well this isn't Gen 1 Bonkle." But if you take away what made Bionicle Bionicle then what is it? Because the story isn't exactly on par with some of the key features of Gen 1, although it's too early I suppose to state that. -
I'm confused here, where were all of the Slizer's and Throwbots in all of this? Were those themes just made to be temporary from the beginning? Like an appetizer?
