  1. Curses! You are setting the bar so high... Beautilful lines, and I like how you help shape the Molokei Empire with your story. The bow, with the eye: I do hope she would be eligible for a bigger class ship though. We need a roof some time in the future for the biggest classes, and we are starting to see some grand vessels already.
  2. Impeccable! So full of details and yet so clean and thorough design. Realistic as well. There is so much to like. I can only list a few. The riled line that goes underneath the balcony and along the whole build. How the crown is incorporated. How the lion head is emphasized by the handles and tiles. The ministatues under the roofline fits seamlessly into the brickwork. The big statues. I must stop now, or it will only be a list of every little detail. Well Done! Which brick have you used on bottom part of the coloumns? (in the height of the soldiers epaulettes)
  3. Smart to take that offer. You nailed it. I take notice of your ships, for learning purposes. Did you use LDD for those waves, Mecabricks or some other program?
  4. If any females here happen to have a lion, they can call themselves Sea Lion Woman.
  5. Hahaha, fighting over a bulldog and a hamster. Do like I did, compromise, so I am now stuck with a Pomeranian. Attitude like a pitbull and the looks of a hamster. I wish his legs were longer though, since he can't walk him in the forest (too much undergrowth, so he gets stuck all the time). Maybe there is a dog race related to bulldogs, only fluffy?
  6. The throne claim was a fine initiative to get the politial intrigues started. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm just not very accustomed to using smileys, but I tried to play along. I like the idea of some internal intrigues as well. A little bit of paranoia never hurt anyone...
  7. Everything is perfect! Vivid and well written story with an Hilarious twist The pictures accentuate the point brilliantly, and everything is well built. I have no critique. I can only say the three, the cliff, the undergrowth, beach, sea, posing, camera agnle and presentation. Well Done!
  8. I don't know if you need to have a free licence registration. I just put 25 and 100 db in other income to balance it out.
  9. The King's port advertiser shows the wrong result table (the one from february). Be aware, before you start adding amounts into the accounting tool.
  10. This I understand completely. All my feedback are meant based on game mechanics, as I perceive them. I try my very best not to be biased on this. Balance mean more than getting out on top. Getting the best out of a game because of holes and unbalance, instead of because of strategy would be a spartan victory. In no way is it critique. I have played and game mastered different pen&paper rpgs and strategy board games for over 20 years, so I just can't help myself from looking for and pointing out things I think may be askew. But I don't see the hole picture. A lot of things you already have the answers for, and I am impressed by the work laid down behind this. I mean to be constructive.
  11. Woha! Cool plantation, man! I've never seen such a nicely tiled weed plantation. What's next, a batik artisan/factory? Oh, I almost forgot to mention: You can buy merchandised tie-dyed shirts, to sell in you market stalls, at our soon to come Agustinian Royal Factories. You are also welcome to open an eatery/coffee shop in Bardo. Half of your licence will be paid, so you get it at the same price. You will be safe in Bardo Harbours as long as you follow Bardo Laws. It is a place where many trade agreements gets settled over a good meal and a cup o'whatever you like to drink, so the opportunities to build a global firm with a lot of innovative ideas. If you decide to check it out, you can contact Alfonso Stabboni of the White Glove order. (One of my main sig figs)
  12. I posted this in the Mardier vs Eslandola build-off thread, but it is more fitting here. It is a matter of game balance, and these are a few of the things I feel should be looked at before releasing MRCA 2.0. After thinking about it, I do see that the Sea Rats may be in a much better position once they reach the threshold of getting large warships, but my points on the amount of DBs generated stands. The mechanism with half cost for properties for Sea Rats have not worked as I believe it was intended, because of the amounts of money being generated. It weakens the Sea Rats initial strenght, since everyone can afford to build and licence their maximum (2/3 properties a month) within a few months. It is simply to much to quickly. My experience from other games is that too much money in a game can break it, so this is an important point. We need more rewards based on titles, rights and FIP, not throwing DBs as a bait for everything. I also think the NPC factions should work as a way to weed out ships, and/or making capture much harder. ATM it is crazy to invest in a ship, when we could send get them "for free" on a heavily escorted trade run. NPC factions working as ship feeders for this is not ideal. I hope the MRCA 2.0 lowers the chance of capture, and includes damage taken after encounters, that have to be paid before the ships can be used again. The money for this should go straight out of the game.
  13. The OOC Eslandolan excuse is that there is no way to choose between merchant fleets and raiders. IC: They should have sailed without the Jolly Roger. I can only guess that they feared this was a raiding fleet out to get our merchant flotillas. I agree the mechanism with half cost for properties have not worked as I believe it was intended, because of the amounts of money being generated. 14. Dare I say you are rasing the bar for your builds? Yes I do The floor, the window sills, the coat hanger, the desk, the antlers. So much sublte, yet great details. And without overdoing it. Great continuation of the story. Applause!
  15. I totally agree. It would feel more free if the guidelines gave an approx number of studs, and it would be more free as to the shape of the build. For Properties: Small ca 250 studs. Medium ca 1000 studs. Large ca 2300 studs. Royal A lot of studs. For plantations: Small ca 1000 studs. Medium ca 4000 studs. Large ca 16000 studs. Royal ... How many do you have? Might want to use LDD for this one. Several floors counts towards the number of studs, so that builders are free to chose the style of their builds/cities. Some leeway if the landscaping takes a lot of effort and bricks. Maybe I am pedantic on keeping the loose guidelines, but it is obvious that it has lead to a lot of confusion both ways. I think it is important to let creativity flow, but also retaining some guidelines to make it easier to plan the build. If people do a lot of detailed work, and put their full effort, a slightly smaller build would be ok. There is no stopping someone from building bigger than the guidelines either. I don't think such a wording on the system would be abused. Quite the opposite, I think it may make people try out more ambiguous project, and become better builders. And that's a good thing, right?
  16. You can always underlicence it, as long as you state your intentions. Which you have done. I really like the distinct look of your ship, and a very fitting and cool name. A sight that will haunt earnest merchants in weeks to come
  17. Yeah, I think of it as an example. And Bank is a poor example for Education and Art&Culture...
  18. The BoBs Index is not a reliable source atm for this. I know for a fact that I did not licence the city gate, and I am unsure about the Surgeons Office. So, unless Eslandola have licenced the city gate without telling me, I can say for sure that it is not correct.I have another question, regarding the EGS categories: Is it supposed to be Royal Bank in commerce, Education and Art&Culture? I would think it should be Royal Academy/University and Royal Cathedral in the latter two.
  19. You can come to a consensus here amongst you Corlanders, but for this minimum/maximum size discussion to have any value in how the rules are interpreted, I think the general thread would include more views. And make people aware that such an important point for all builders is being discussed. When that is said, I can not idly stand by and watch you work yourselves up. I am clearly on the opposite side here. Minimum sizes and strict enforcement of where the border on a Moc goes is madness (for instance 128x128 filled with only crops?!). It limits my possibility to diversify my builds. If I am to follow these guidelines on a strict minimum size, I need to make all a lot of buildings either one story high or multicolored (especially large ones). Plantations would be one type of crops reworked over and over again. Maybe with time and a thousand BL orders I have enough to make another type of crops. I don't think I am the only one that wants to participate even if I don't have endless resources (I am starting to get an ok collection, but still). I have viewed the sizes as general sizes. So a medium build should be about 32x32, maybe less maybe more, depending on how much detail is put into it. If the sizes are minimums, I am forced (in order to get enough time to build) to make builds of less detail and accuracy. I just can't see your way being the law. It would mean the end of creativity and govern the shape, size and complexity of all future builds. I am truly concerned about where this discussion is headed. If a representative build is not enough, then are we going full realism? Each build to scale compared to real life?
  20. I suggest another option that can be done with a select few NPC captured ships in the future. Maybe a bimonthly/quarterly build off, where the winning entry gets the ship. This could be a montage of 6 builds, 2 pictures max per build, cooperation allowed in order to build a bigger scene/more scenes to the story. Then for instance, the TCs, the factions, other constellations could contribute and compete for joint ownership. Someone are better at writing the stories, some are better with microbuilds, some better at closeups, etc. It would be a challenge in photography to get the essence of the build in max 2 photos per build. I think we could see some very interesting builds and stories this way. That's what this is about. I like the idea of a build off, but the details around it and execution has the potential to be better.
  21. Perfect choice of torso for the woman in black (Rebekah?) in the first photo. Working coffin, and the mood outside the crypt... I can't say I like it. But I do.
  22. 50 for MCTC members. 75 for other investors, if MCTC members don't have enough to buy all the shares. It is 30 shares though. More shares, but lower payout. The payout is slightly lower than if you would invest in a royal factory personally, but who has those amounts of dbs laying around on their own (perhaps Bregir ). At the same time, an investment of 50/75 dbs that pay out 20/month is a good investment. This is a prime example of what kind of ventures you get first option to buy into, when you have a membership in the MCTC MCTC members have been active in building up MCTC in these first months, and the results are starting to show. This is one way to repay the members for their loyalty and support. (And possibly some other lucky investors).
  23. MCTC Members: 6 shares Guy K. Wyndzon (Kai NRG) 6 shares Victor Servadac (Sir Stig) 2 share Alejandro De la Calle (Phadeout) 4 shares Willem Guilder (Capt Wolf) 1 share Revon de Crocodil (Umbra-Manis) 8-10 shares Fontanajo (Elostirion) Other investors: 1 share Myles Bowditch (Garmadon) 27-29 MCTC member Shares 1 Other All shares practically gone.
