  1. To be crystal clear-the $90 was a guess based on previous TRU Exclusives.
  2. Nice find! I like the Bat Buggy a bit more after seeing the higher resolution version. Edit: Found the source of the images for those interested: http://www.walmart.com/ip/47335811
  3. If it's a ToysRUs exclusive, I would bet on it being $90. Past few years TRU exclusives have been $90, 2012 Palpatine Arrest, 2014 MTT, ect.
  4. The exclusive set has been found! Ezra and Chopper are nice to get again, but Ahsoka is the main draw here. I personally am not very fond of the set, but it is a different vehicle, so there's that.
  5. The arm printing on the dark blue arms really makes it an "Ultimate" Spider-Man, no?
  6. As for everyone who's been waiting for that exclusive Civil War set; Here it is!
  7. Most previously approved LEGO Ideas sets were made in physical bricks, but the Adventure Time set was recently approved, so maybe they're less tight on what can be approved and what isn't. Not saying LDD models are always bad mind you, but generally they're the most plentiful of all projects, and don't stand out. It's why I believe out of the two Doctor Who sets the physical version was chosen, and it just looked nicer. As for the Voltron set, it looks too large to be made into an Ideas set, so I can't see that passing. The timing for Spaceballs is downright perfect, with the 30th anniversary being just next year. If it gets approved I can see it coming out before it normally should (I.E. The Ecto-1 releasing before the Exo-Suit even when the Exo-Suit was a whole review period before the Ecto-1) just so that it does release during the 30th anniversary.
  8. For what the Freemaker chronicles is, LEGO priced them low to entice as many people as possible. To be able to pay $90 (Or whatever the amount is per region) and get essentially every character from the show is great, much better than the Ghost and the Phantom being $120 (And you didn't even get a main villain or all the main characters!) Since the set contains a new version of Dengar, I've got to get the set. Not a bad deal for $30 either.
  9. Being someone who's tried to build terrain for his mocs/displays, yours looks well done! I like how you made the TARDIS able to stick on with a few studs so it isn't prove to moving.
  10. Whenever the production of the sets has all but stopped and all previous stock in your local stores (ie; LEGO Stores, Wal-Mart, ect.) has been drained to nothing.
  11. Not to go into much of value here, I don't believe piece count isn't too much of an indicator of value here. With all the large plates and big bricks, unlike Star Wars sets that have smaller pieces to get the finer detailing. Just the expanse of stuff you get, 3 houses, a large farm area, desert well, small jungle section, and even some snow, show the diversity you get just in one set alone. I guess when it gets down to it you sort of have to be a fan of Minecraft to get the subjective value of the set, being that the build is so Minecraft. But after all, big $200+ sets will have around the same value as other $200 sets, otherwise Lego would be shooting their selfs in the foot so to speak, by artificially hurting sales of one product. When it down to it, being a fan of Minecraft myself, I think it is great how much was captured in this set alone, small details like the well and the farm, which probably wouldn't get sets on their own (while "The Farm" was a set, it wasn't a Village farm) and getting characters that won't appear elsewhere, the 3 villagers themselves. I think the value is okay for what you pay for, you get more or less out of it being a fan or not being one.
  12. No, that came out 2015. Currently available at US Shop@Home for $199.99. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Heavy-Haul-Train-60098 I hope a creator train set comes out this year though, fingers crossed!
  13. Looks like the new Ninjago dragon was also leaked on the Swiss toy site. Doesn't look like anyone posted it yet, but I believe some discussion has occurred. Not sure if it has or hasnt, don't follow the sets that much but love the TV series. Link for more images: http://shop.swisstoy.ch/images/products/41170593_big.jpg
  14. I wish sourcing was added, but using google I was able to find a source of these images. Took maybe just under a minute, and it's from a Swedish toy site. Here's the source to the images Cm4sci posted, for those intrigued: http://shop.swisstoy.ch/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=lego%20city&search_x=0&search_y=0&sort=2a&&page=6
  15. Well, given that minifigs have been used to represent males and females for years, I don't get the whole fat issue. But, getting the obvious out of the way, minifigure bodies were designed in a gender neutral way, making it so both sexes could be represented. Usually women have "curves", which why female minifigures have noticible lines on them, indicating their hips/waist. It's almost a catch 42, you either support both with two torso molds, or just use one and make it fit with added printing to indicate the hips/waist. There's even custom torsos that make them more shapely. A male minifig torso is just that, the whole piece (exceptions with the Special Forces TIE set with that officer, don't like the look myself). While with females they have noticible printing to make them appear with curves. When that's missing I can see why people would say the figure looks "fat", and why it does not apply to male minifigs, in most cases. Personally, I'm not bothered by these slight, minor details, Alice and Ariel (along with Stitch) are the only ones I plan to get! But I can see why some collectors want these to be as accurate as possible, as these may be the only time we get these figures in minifig form.
  16. That babysitter better come with the new baby mold, so I can buy multiples in a cheap 'set'! Banana suit guy is my favorite of the list, that will be so funny. Arabian Prince will go well with the series 6(?) Genie, and we're one step closer to a set of Aladdin figs (Haven't kept up on Disney CMF, so we could be getting the real deal and not have to deal with substitutes.)
  17. Tickle me impressed! 6 minifigs for $60? And all the Ghostbusters in one set? That is just great! As far as playability goes this one beats the Ideas one hands down in my opinion. A bunch of little accessories, working doors, and being able to fit 4 Ghostbusters into the car! Did I forget to mention the hair pieces? With this and Finn, we're finally getting more black people hair, that's spectacular for custom figs and the like. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the first time we've ever gotten a black female minifigure? I can't remember, we might have, but I'm not sure. I almost want to say that I like this Ecto-1 better than Ideas one in terms of build.. But I have a few qualms. Really just the color scheme of the roof and the stickers on the windshield piece. Maybe once I get the set I'll grow to love the red and just not apply the stickers, but I think all and all, the two Ecto-1's are on fairly equal playing fields. Now, I just need to finish building the HQ before I get this set!
  18. Maybe that Rebels ship is finally going to give us Knowing Lego they'll probably put her into the larger villain set however.
  19. Can't believe the smaller version of this wasn't made into a set. So disappointed! But hey, there's always next time.
  20. Not quite sure what you're referring to, if you're expecting that to be revealed and released before the end of the year it's certainly a possibility. But basing it off the Bank? I see two major issues with your logic 1) The Bank is being released in two months, the Echo base would need to be revealed and released in little over a month. The two have such a major difference in dates, I can't say I agree. 2) The last few modulars have been revealed pretty late in the game, it's commonplace at this point. If Lego was going to release it this year, they'd have told us about it before the Bank.
  21. Have you considered using the 1x2 plate with clip, similar to the ones on the Daleks? Not sure if a dark tan variant of the 1x2 plate with bar exists, but I'd use dark gray with a tan plate/tile on top. Looking at the photo again, there is a 1x2 dark tan plate with bar included on the model, my apologies.
  22. This set it totally neato dorito. I'm glad the blue window frames used in that preview video were just stand-ins, would've looked weird. The design of the TARDIS walls is quite nice, and although it's essentially a clone of the Ideas submittion it was a good design and I am glad to see it carried over. As for the console, I personally like it more than the original submittion. The addition of the new computer panel prints really top the console off. Speaking of prints, there must be about 35 printed parts in here! No stickers either? Sign me up! As for the figures, first and foremost I have to say, I'm a tad disappointed with the choices, but then again I'm pleasantly surprised. For the Doctors, I was hoping for Tennent and Matt Smith. Capaldi isn't a bad Doctor or minifigure at all, I just was pleased with getting him in the Dimensions pack. Nevertheless I'm overjoyed to get a purple suit, we don't see those very often! (Yes, I know the Joker has one but that's too colorful for my tastes) Matt Smith was done very well, the jacket, the faces, the hair, the legs... I have no issues with him whatsoever. Clara is another one done right! When I first saw her I was a little thrown off by the face, but her alternative expression captures Jenna Coleman to a T. Now, those Weeping Angles give me the creeps.. I'm loving them! Glad to finally be buying a set that includes the clear neckbracket piece, haven't bought amy DC sets that have it yet. Lastly we've got the Daleks, one of my favorite brickbuild characters I've seen period. I like the Ideas and Dimensions one, but I think I like these just a tad more. I adore the use of the new 1x1 with bar being used on the eyestalk, ingenious! I don't have many grievances with the set, but I'll list them nevertheless. I wish we could open the doors in a more realistic way, but I can't think of another way to do it without it looking odd. 4 minifigures and 2 brick-built figures for a $60 set? Was expecting a 5th, being a Cyberman or a second Weeping Angle. These are nitpicks so I can't say I'm too mad about the issues. Won't be getting this day 1, (As much as I want to) but I instead will be getting it Christmas day and build it watching the Christmas special. Wasn't there one for the UCS Falcon? Can't remember honestly. Regardless they almost never do it, if ever.
  23. These things usually happen around noon in the States, cut the guy some slack. If we don't hear anything by 5-6 PM EST, that's when I'd be worried. Be patient, use the force. :)
  24. destroyed
  25. When your binders/folders are brimming with stickers of LEGO logos. When your home screen on your phone is a LEGO minifigure. And when you can't decide between two sets so you buy both. Guilty of all of these, some multiple times.
