While I skipped out on the last Ideas set due to me not being a fan of the Big Bang Theory, I'm certainly not missing out on this one! It is such a cute model, I'm sure to have fun posing him. Thanks again for this review!

We've had one previous version of the set, released back in 2005 as a special edition set only available in a combo pack of other sets from the time. This remake will be the way to go if you want one.

Just to keep y'all updated, Lego has posted another stop motion on their YouTube. For those wondering, I haven't had a chance to try the web browser game as of yet. Here's a link to the video:

While I understand the Escape Pod set is probably there to offer a cheap set to get Threepio and R2 in... What's the point of the other two? A Snowspeeder and the Spider Droid are still on the market. Although, I do want to see the final sets before i make my final judgement. It just doesn't make sense as to why they would release sets that are just tweaked versions of current, readily available sets. Okay, mini-rant over!

Which Scooby-Doo Guest Star(s) Should Appear in a Set?
Jacob_9821 replied to legoman19892's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd love to see John Cena, appear in a set. If only it was because we would get a Lego wrestling ring. Episode he starred in was pretty bad though. As others have said, Batman and Robin would be cool figures to show up. Although, I already have enough Batman's as it is! -
Picked up the Mansion and Mystery Machine at TRU today! They had everything but the Lighthouse. Surprisingly, they had 6 Machines, 4 Mansions, and only one of the Biplane's and Museum's. Gotta say, very impressed with these two. With all the talk on whether or not this'll have a second wave or not, here's my two cent. Being that we're getting a TV special, I think Lego will continue this theme for a little while. Also appearing in Dimensions is pretty huge as well, perhaps it may be an indicator that we'll be seeing more in the future. However, I don't think this'll get two waves a year. If anything, we may see 3 waves in 2 years, but that's pushing in my opinion.

They actually do have one set, other than Microfighters, being Kanan's speeder bike. There's always the possibility we're getting more Rebel sets as retailer exclusives. Sir Von Lego has also stated we're getting a February wave, this could be a Rebels centered wave.

Most likely, yes. I'm guessing he'll also have a dual-moulded leg as well.

This hasn't been posted here yet I think, but here's a trailer to a browser based lego Scooby Doo game! Never expected this one, I'll be checking it out whenever it's released. Here's a link for those interested:

You know, I'd personally love to see an EarthBound line. Of course the game series is very niche, so I doubt it would ever be made. For those unfamiliar with the game, the series of sets could potentially feature an arcade, pizza place, caves, tropical islands and even underwater areas. But something that would be much more likely, would probably be a line based upon all of Nintendo's IPs. Instead of introducing just a couple of lines, probably Legend of Zelda and Mario would be made, I'd enjoy seeing a theme that encompasses many of their IPs. With more popular IPs getting more sets, and less popular ones getting less.

That picture is just a cropped version of the last picture. While the figure may or may not change, this doesn't give us anymore information on the figure, being it's just the same picture.

There was a rumor that in 2016 a new Death Star would be coming out with new minifigures. I'm not sure how this dispels the rumor however. I expected this one to be retired before we got a new one anyway.

Looks like this hasn't been posted here yet... According to Toy Ark the new Sith Inflitrator set will be retailing for a whopping... $94.99. Yes, that's the US price. I can't expect how high it'll be in other regions. Here is a link to some photos. http://news.toyark.com/2015/07/08/sdcc-2015-lego-star-wars-164416

I can't find any information about this, but this seems like the proper place to ask. Does anyone know if Scooby's head is able to move? Also, is he two pieces? I'd also like to be able to swap the heads around at my own leisure.

Well, their motto is, "Only the best is good enough". Their quality hasn't faltered because if it did, LEGO wouldn't be reputable as a quality company. Anyway, that Phasma looks quite good except for one thing. The helmet has a strange line going across the chin area. I have no clue why it's there and from what we've seen of that character, that isn't on the helmet. Looks like I'll be making a modification to her.
-
Always on top of a everything! The more I see of the Inflitator the more I like it. I don't think it's as bad as some say it is.
-
Don't want to overly discuss this here as this is the wrong place to, but this looks a lot better than most of the Wave 1 sets. It's just a virtue of the bucket head instead of a human head.

Interesting. I didn't think we'd be seeing any Force Awakens sets before their official announcement. This seems to be the $120 set, and at that price I'm not really feeling it. I do, however look forward to this one on a 20% discount. As for the set itself, well, what more is there to say that hasn't been said? I don't care for the huge amount of studs, but I do like the ships design. I'm 50/50 on this one.

Welp! I seem to be mistaken. I haven't looked at the box since 2011. But I believe in the instructions it does only tell you to put in one figure, but again I may be remembering wrong. Getting older isn't always the greatest thing in the world!

Thanks for the correction about the new Chewie. But in my experience with 7965 I can only fit one figure in the cockpit without removing arms or having the arms at weird angles. The Tydirium can fit two figures with no modification or arms in weird positions. To be clear, I understand what you're saying about the Falcon, but to me the arms are in weird positions. This is just personal preference, but when I never seat figures right beside each other. I'm not saying it can't be done, it just looks odd. Point is, 7965 only suggests you to but one figure in the cockpit. Which, while you can do little things to make it work, I see it as only fitting one figure out of box. And hey, I'm not saying there's one official way to do so, I'm saying that Lego does have a suggestion. But as we all know, it's Lego. It can be changed, rebuilt, modified, ect.
-
Not necessarily. The old Falcon only held one figure. Plus, the new Chewbacca and the old one are relatively the same size, if not the same piece with printing on it.

Of course a good value for a set is very subjective, but under the circumstances of how a set is built, I don't see how that determines whether or not a set is a good value. Unless of course you mean stability. With the AT-DP, say it were instead just plates and bricks, with 0 technic. I would argue the stability would be much worse off. Point is, the AT-DP needed this technic frame to pull off a more accurate and stable model, while the B-Wing does not; making it an unfair comparison in my opinion. Now if you just prefer the brick system over technic, I completely understand. I can respect that. I wholeheartedly agree that the more iconic a model is, the more likely someone would pick it up. In the US at least, the Force Awakens MF will cost 20 more bones than the Assault Carrier. I myself know I will be going for the MF over the Assault Carrier, simply because I care more for MF. Funny how I say this when I own 2 Falcon's already!

I think we can assume it is as the picture is a preliminary picture. The guys setting up the website or LEGO, put up or sent the wrong picture respectively.

Kylo Ren will be like Sabine. We'll get the helmet in the most expensive set, and the hair in a cheaper, but still costly, set.

The next Bionicle designer video has gone live, this time on Onua. It's surprising how much the sketches look like Darth Vader. I'm glad they went for a look closer to the original Pakari.
