'Royal train' Duchess loco with working smoke/draincocks
Feuer Zug replied to Liam Biggs's topic in LEGO Train Tech
On first look, I wasn't sure if your locomotive was LEGO. Great work on it. Plenty of details, but in a way that makes it more realistic than most MOCs. Keep up the good work. -
[MOC] #6175 Crystal Explorer Sub redesign
Feuer Zug replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Outstanding reimaging of the design. Amazing what modern parts can allow for. -
Quite the evil tower. Love the flying buttress work as it rises. Plenty of details inside and out. Nice to see the Atlantis and Egyptian themed parts used harmoniously as dark icons.

Ooooh! Stunning diorama. It has nearly everything a Western town needs. Guns, booze, and an undertaker. The only thing missing is "boot hill" and a gold mine. Not sure where you'd fit them though. I like the brick work on the covered wagons. Would like to see more close ups of the train.

Great diorama. The Roman legions are assaulted by the Gauls / Vikings / barbarians. Plenty of details abound in this scene. I like the use of the curved technic panels for the sails. NPU with the Gryffindor house banner too.

Agreed that it's more a carnival float parade. The cloth pirate sail is begging to be used for small boats.

Well done. Classic space deserves a maxi-fig and you did it well. I like the version with the white dot in the black eye tile. Not creeped out by the flat black tile, but it seems better in the second version to me. Adding the jet pack is great. Is that an overlay of the classic space logo so you can remove the pack and have it normal (once you swap tiles on the shoulder)?

I agree that the sentiment about MOCing your desires is bad. I'm not as good or as blessed to have the resources some have at their disposal. I appreciate that many here understand that and are still uplifting in their comments when I do post work and provide constructive comments on ways to better it. The selection of offerings from LEGO has definitely improved in most areas. Even taking sets and modding them is easier because of the wide breadth of starting points. That about sums a lot of my hopes and desires from LEGO in one statement. Of course, then I'd have to sell a kidney or three to afford it all.

The change out to post-war red and black, along with the smaller smoke deflectors looks great. I've always liked the contrasting colors and smaller deflectors.

SANTA FE F7 BLUEBONNET NEW TRAIN MOC 3of5
Feuer Zug replied to DMRR WOLFE's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Quite the collection of F7s you've got. The blue freight scheme looks sharp on them. -
Great designs. Congratulations to the winners. Good effort by all.

Interesting design. I can see it sliding along rails in any of the four cardinal points. Easy to extend for more capacity as well. Very nice.

Help, I accidentally made a T-wing Starfighter [MOC]
Feuer Zug replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice design. Good amount of details, but not over the top. It would fit into a scene and most casual fans would never know it is a MOC. -
Japan bi-level high speed train - Shinkansen E4 max in 8w version
Feuer Zug replied to Camoran's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nicely done. The train nose looks good at the scale. Almost comical how it looks on R40 curves. -
Serene and relaxing. Lots of details and techniques used to create a wonderful scene.
-
I'll echo the comments above. Great work. The wave action visual created by the offset bricks is brilliant as well.

Incredible. What you managed to fit inside the Death Star footprint is jaw dropping awesome! Every level has such details, I don't know where to begin. Jack Sparrow being let out by the kraken, the Islanders guarding a collectable coin, the big cannon firing an actual Death Star, it's crazy! Great work.

Johnny Thunder rides again!
Feuer Zug replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wonderful group. Nice to see they've all advanced, but not in bad ways. When do we get to see the villains? -
Great work on your town. The amount of detail in everything down to the pavers in the streets is gorgeous. The pig farm continues the same level of work. Can't wait to see what you create when you have more bricks.

Great looking modular city. Quite an eclectic mix of modules. The mine headframe in the middle of the layout strikes me as funny in our modern "clean" world. The airport must be an interesting venue to have a display at.

Except the for printed yellow strip, which is outside your control, great work recreating this iconic supercar.

Wonderful historical build. Given the lack of engineering drawings or reliable sketches, your MOC looks believable as is. Thank you for providing the history behind it as well.

Superb. Thomas is great, and the rest of the scene fits perfectly. I like the scenery shift to the forced perspective. Having the track at an angle to the rest of the diorama gives it a look not often seen in LEGO, but one that makes it stand apart from others.

Your Galaxy Squad tachikoma is well done. The colors fit well and you've got all the firepower one would need to stop the bugs.
