  1. As and EMD fan, I approve. The colors look good too. Brick on!
  2. Nice set of locomotives. Any Big Boy in LEGO is impressive and did a cracking good job on yours. That you back it up with a well executed GE ES44AC makes it only that much better. You've got a good layout too. I see a crossover switch there. You are fortunate to have one. The rolling stock looks to be well done too. The only thing missing is all the minifigs along the way taking pictures of the Big Boy as it rolls through One note, your diesel locomotive looks to be a GE ES44AC, while the one in the real picture is an EMD SD-70M. I noticed a mismatch in the engine number. If you care, a list of engine numbers can be found here: https://en.wikipedia...volution_Series If you don't, it's your world and it looks fabulous. Brick on!
  3. Quite a build there. The addition of PF is really a great touch. The lights bring it to life in the darkness. That key idea is something I may borrow for a project of my own where it's hard to reach the battery box.
  4. You've built a wonderful small diorama. I like the train as it reminds me of the ones I see when I trapse over to Maastrich occasionally.
  5. I didn't build this setup with any scale in mind. It just has to look about right. The inclusion of the minifig was just for fun. Regretfully, I only have enough of the grey straights to make this little diorama right now. I guess I could lay some regular track and put a 'narrow gauge' setup inside it to lengthen it. As such, I don't have a full length photo. Maybe someday when I build a modern 6 or 7 wide diesel, I'll expand the background enough to shoot the entire train. Besides a modification of the Ghost Train and a small narrow gauge switcher, I haven't built any custom engines. As for the wheels, they are the Train Wheel Small, Hole Notched for Wheels Holder Pin (50254)
  6. I built this 4 wide EMD GP9 because I enjoyed a recent ride in the cab at the Belton, Grandview, and Kansas City Railroad. This GP9 is done up in their colors. The TTX well car, coal hopper, and cabose were built for fun. While the detail isn't as great as a 6 wide, it's fun to play with around the house. The background is capable of being upgraded and lengthened to standard LEGO track for pictures of other engines and/or rolling stock.
  7. Very nice squad unit. I like the interior design, with all the medical equipment. Using the open shirted swashbuckler as a cardiac arrest patient is a great touch.
  8. Very nice. Just watch out for the black helicopters though. The government doesn't like people knowing about the rabid T-Rex they keep up there...
  9. Cute
  10. You've done a great job taking the LDD design and making it out of bricks. Congrats.
  11. I really like your old switch tower. It has a wonderful look, and performs a vital function in history. The use of Diagon Alley is nice too.
  12. Serious imagination good sir. The variations and techniques are all amazing. Keep up the good work.
  13. Excellent subway scene. It reminds me of traversing the underground warrens of NYC into Grand Central Station with all the columns and arches. It adds to your excellent town setup.
  14. Quite a nice station you've built. I like how you have the tracks set up to continue to either side of the station versus the ones where they stop. I think this gives it a better chance as a modular.
  15. Nice museum. I can see why the crook was trying to break in. Mind you, he should have cased the joint better. An ex-Ultra Agents guy as a security guard, Iron Man lurking in the vicinity, and the Caped Crusader in town? He might as well have stopped by central booking and made it easier.
  16. Quite a collection of classis cars. All of them are well done. I like the Charger and the DB5 best. They really bring out the lines just right.
  17. Nice station and city. There's a lot of detail in there.
  18. Nice station. You've made a good start on the brick version.
  19. Freaking amazing! Those are two very fine trains. The details you've put into them are incredible and it shows.
  20. Not bad Schnabel car. Good use for the design, hauling the main fuel tank for the shuttle.
  21. The best use for flex track is when the regular track doesn't line up perfectly in large dioramas, or if you are creating a slope. Flex track bends well enough to do vertical changes. For making a loop, Bricklink or ME Rails would be your best bet for curved track.
  22. Quite a nice design you have there. The architectural cues based on the bays extending up to the first floor is a nice touch. I do enjoy seeing a pole in the station too. Many places now days are afraid of them for insurance/litigation reasons. The light brick is an awesome idea. All you need next is a custom sound brick setup and you're golden.
  23. Slick build. I like it because you've got some good colors and a very plausible design. Kudos.
  24. And that is the best LEGO fire truck I've ever seen. Great work.
  25. Those counterweights were used in the old boats. Try looking for like that. I know mine came in the 'Cabin Cruiser' set.
