  1. Behold, my first large scale locomotive MOC, the EMD SD70ACe. The engine is 7 wide, and runs 48 studs in length from coupler magnet to coupler magnet. Everything is brick built, not a single sticker to be found on it. Motive power is provided from two PF Medium motors each driving an A1A wheel set. A PF receiver sits where the dynamic braking grid would be, and the battery box is accessed through the hole between the air horns. I know the locomotive number belongs to a GP-38, but it worked in the size. Given the motor locations, there wasn't any room to build the internals for the cab. And now, a shot of the internals. You can see the two PF Medium motors rather easily in here, along with the battery box and PF receiver. Given the generous length of the locomotive, I plan to upgrade it to two L motors next time I hit the LEGO store in Koln. It hauls a lot of wagons, but lacks speed. If the motor upgrade doesn't speed it up, at least I'll be able to haul a lot more. I'd like to thank everybody that's posted their MOCs up here. I've cribbed a few ideas from stuff to improve the looks.
  2. Nice set of Geeps. They look good and it's hard to tell there's a battery in there with your mods.
  3. Sweet pair of iconic 80's Ferraris. You've captured the essence of both cars.
  4. Sweet diorama. Very detailed on the scenery. The locomotive is a great piece as well.
  5. Running through Jar Jar is awesome! Winner hands down.
  6. Good looking locomotive and gondola car. The details on your Dash 8 are quite nice and I like how everything fits into the 4 wide hood.
  7. Sweet petrol station. I noticed you rigged the fans to work, nice.
  8. Very nice. Good use of colors I'd have left languishing in a bin. The details are great too.
  9. What a gorgeous beast. 24 kg, amazing. The detail work is top notch. I agree with many others, I thought I was looking at real pics to start with before getting close. Keep it up.
  10. The EMD F7 was a 1,500 horsepower (1,100 kW) Diesel-electric locomotive produced between February 1949 and December 1953 by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors (EMD) and General Motors Diesel (GMD). Although originally promoted by EMD as a freight-hauling unit, the F7 was also used in passenger service hauling such trains as the Santa Fe Railway's Super Chief and El Capitan. The F7's prime mover is a 16-cylinder 567B series Diesel engine developing 1,500 hp (1.1 MW) at 800 rpm. The 567B is a mechanically aspirated two-stroke design in a 45 degree Vee configuration, with 567 cu in (9.29 L) displacement per cylinder, for a total of 9,072 cu in (148.66 L).
  11. Nice work. The rebuild looks good. I like how you've got two tracks under it. Anyway, I've left my little station the same and built an bigger version elsewhere so I can have two intermodal facilities.
  12. The jaw has impacted the floor! Holy cow, that's a heck of a setup. Even the roundhouse alone with turntable for a Daylight is impressive, but adding everything else, over the top! Great work gents!
  13. Good looking classic SD-40. Your scenery is excellent too.
  14. Wicked builds. They fit together very well style wise. The base is cool too.
  15. Nicely done. The lines are clean, yet the colors are definitely CN. The mechanical parts seem to be pretty powerful. How many cars can it haul?
  16. That's quite a locomotive. Very well thought out and built. All the details are fantastic and the lights give it that extra special touch.
  17. Those are two well done pieces. The Aerotrain, for the sheer fact that it's a rare type and getting the crazy lines done right must have been hard. The 'Forgotten Daylight' is cool because I'm a big steam fan and large steam engines are a beast to build. Congrats on the hard work.
  18. A United States Navy fouled anchor I created as a commission.
  19. Very nice. I've seen these occassionally when I'm on the trains. Looks very good.
  20. That's quite a MOC there. Great work in fitting it in to the 1920's. The details are amazing and really give it the feel.
  21. Absolutely fantastic. The size, the details, everything is amazing!
  22. That's one fine looking locomotive. The color scheme really makes it pop, while it's chock full of details. I'd never thought about wire inside the flexitubes, nice touch.
  23. That's quite a detailed little tank engine you've built. There's so much there that it almost seems a spot on replica. Everything from the greebling to the connectors are included. Keep it up. I can't wait to see your next project.
  24. Nice loco and rolling stock set. You've managed to capture a lot of details. The front plow and coupler are well designed.
