    There's already a grand piano in the Friends Hotel, so they probably don't need another piano. I thought I needed 2 at first, but then I built the one I already have and thought it looked fine on its own. Looks pretty good, actually. It's different, which makes it stand out.

    NZ prices are vastly different from the rest of the world, plus we also seem to get sets a month or two late. The DO is priced at NZD300 compared to USD160, and still has not arrived in NZ.

    How many sets/extra pieces did you end up using? I'd like to do what you did if it's not too expensive.

    loved this movie ever since I first saw it and so glad I'm finally getting Wall-E in Lego form. Any idea how large or small the actual figure is going to be?

    I'd like the Friends Grand Hotel and the new Town Square, but not sure when those are coming out.

    I wish I owned the Citizen Brick Breaking Bad set, but it was too expensive then, and even worse now. I keep imagining it in a building with the Research Institute on top and the lab below.

    I want the hotel! With some modularising it will fit right in with the rest of my city. Lots of bricks will be required though

    Toyworld has all of them now. I'm still looking for the red dragon creator set, but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere

    There is a frenzy for them in Malaysia, and for Unicorn Girls too. I'm a Malaysian living in NZ, and I've actually had friends in Malaysia contacting me to help them buy minifigures here, because they disappear too fast over there. Things are pretty calm here; I walked into a Farmers the other day and found 6 open untouched boxes of minifigures. Just took what I needed (4 Unicorns and 2 Hot Dog Guys) for myself and friends, and left the rest to be pillaged. Went back a couple of days later and found that there were only 4 boxes left, so I guess they do go, just not as fast as everywhere else.

    I went to check instore as soon as they started appearing all around, so I got in early and managed to find 6 opened boxes of almost untouched minifigures. When feeling, I do my best not to squeeze on the figures too hard, especially if they're the softer kinds. Some people tend to squeeze more than feel.

    I've seen pictures of stress marks appearing on the Samurai armor in the form of little white lines, so if you're looking for her, try going for a new box that no one has felt through before.,

    There's the Kwik E Mart coming out, so you could build that while waiting for the next modular. Or even the Simpsons house if you don't have that yet. They're modular-ish.

    Are you in NZ by any chance? Because I have a friend getting married this year and she's planning on doing the exact same thing!

    The Warehouse I went to before had theirs hung up, and I think there were about two boxes or less there. Checked out Farmers, and found 6 opened boxes sitting there looking almost completely undisturbed. Ended up chatting with the staff while feeling for it and they kept asking "But how do you know what's inside?"

    Your pictures look great! Is that the Grand Carousel or the Winter Village Market? I found my snake charmer and unicorn girl today, and a friend asked me to get her 2 unicorn girls, so I think I cleared that new box of minifigures of unicorns. Oh well, there were 5 other open boxes I didn't get to :-P

    Can't you simply flip the tail piece over and have it pointing up instead of down? When and where do you have your public display? I'd love to see it!

    Agreed. The designs are pretty poor in that regard, and I also couldn't figure out if they use actual Lego or cheap knockoffs, which is one thing that holds me back from such things. If I'm forking out money for a building set, I want the quality Lego offers (more often than others). If you do this, you'll need someone with a background in marketing to help design your products' public appearances, even as you design the actual products themselves. Even the builds of those sets are a letdown, with large bare baseplates, and almost nothing going on in most of the scenes.
