  1. Probably like what Citizen Brick does, where they sell custom-made Lego sets for ridiculously high prices. There's probably a market for anything if you care to look hard enough, but whether you can make enough to sustain the business comes into question. I guess sometimes it just takes a leap of faith at the start. If you built proper sets like churches, statues of Jesus Christ, cathedrals etc, I'm sure you'll have lots of customers though. You could even branch into Architecture stuff like the Sistine Chapel!
  2. Oh awesome! I'm visiting Farmers and the Warehouse tomorrow so I can check them out. Need to find the Snake Charmer and my backup Unicorn Girl. You could just not attach the horn and have a horse riding a horse?
  3. Which minifigure did you use? Or do you have one of the official Citizen Brick ones?
  4. i have the same problem with my hot dog guy. The red paint from the hot dog is also on the bread bit of the costume in a rather messy manner
  5. Argh did not notice this. Just wasted a week's worth of codes
  6. I was expecting rubbery, and i did find a couple of rubbery packs, but I couldn't find the flute in them
  7. Visited the Warehouse in Henderson and for the life of me couldn't find a single snake charmer. Either I'm really bad at feeling for minifigures or someone bought them all. Managed to find 5 other figures I wanted, so don't think I'm that bad.
  8. Argh I passed by a Warehouse earlier and didn't go in. Now I'm going to have to plan another trip there. Anyone knows if other Warehouses have them? I want to feel for specific figures, so I'd need them or Farmers or Toyworld. Toyco wasn't at all happy to see me feeling bags last time.
  9. Argh wish I have enough of the right bricks to do this! At the moment if I try it's going to look like a colorful mess up there
  10. I just checked The Warehouse's website and saw them there too. Waiting impatiently for the Double Decker Couch and Series 13 minifigs.
  11. This hasn't even arrived in NZ yet, and won't for another couple of weeks. But I did get a friend of mine in the States to get me a few packs, and he's flying over today, so keeping my fingers crossed that it's the figures I want! Wish I could've taught him how to feel for them, but he's not a Lego enthusiast and it'd just take too long :-P
  12. Agreed. I'll be putting the FB, GE, and TH one one part of the town and the PC, PS, PR, and DO on another. They'd look pretty good in their respective groups, but not together.
  13. My sister and brother-in-law love Legos too, and they're trying to get their 3-year-old to start, but considering they end up building all the sets they bought for him, I don't think it's going to work. We have very diverse interests though. My brother-in-law is into Star Wars, my sister buys anything affordable that catches her eye (leading to her large collection of little City and Friends sets) and I am building a city, so collecting modular buildings and anything that fits in and around them. My sister does have a 4842 Hogwarts Castle, which I'm extremely envious of.
  14. Anyone knows when all the 2015 Lego products will reach NZ? I'm specifically interested to find the Series 13 minifigures, and some new Lego movie sets.
  15. So many wants! I'm going to go broke pretty soon next year
  16. I don't actually celebrate Christmas so no one gave me any presents, but am really tempted to get myself the Tower Bridge during Boxing Day Sales. Lego is really expensive here and the sale only brings it down to NZD320 (USD247) from NZD400, so it's only worth getting during the sale. Still, it's a whole lot of money though, and while I can afford it, I just hesitate to spend that much on a toy. Having said all that, I once bought the GE for NZD300 and the HH for another NZD300 when I realised it was the last chance I would ever have of getting them at RRP. So, I guess I just need the right motivation....
  17. Yes so much yes! I just want straight road plates (and the occasional junction) as opposed to equal numbers of each
  18. Haha, guess I'm not the only person who thinks that every time I see a disproportioned GE
  19. A friend got me a copy from the downtown Disney store. Apparently the store person had to look for it so it must be running low, but might be some more available there if anyone wants one.
  20. Ah, now I wish I'm rich enough to get 3 sets! That enlarged DO looks absolutely amazing. Sadly I can only afford 1 hahahahahahhahaha I see what you mean!
  21. Category A #2 #3 Category B #1 #5 Category C #2 #3
  22. They seem to have made it available in countries other than the US, where previously they were completely sold out as well, so it's a good sign. Perhaps the States is late to the party for once!
  23. Back on shop@home in NZ and Australia.
  24. It'll be a corner building, assuming the pattern stays the same
