New-holland excavator
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks Blakbird for your review ! It's very rewarding to read this from you. It's strange than the turret rotation is not as smooth as on my model, and some others people told me that before you. I guess it depends on the parts you use ( some may be a little more thin than others) -

Help with your MOC
GuiliuG replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just extend the diff with a driving ring extension and another 16t clutch ! -
Well, I have just yet installed the ev3 software and begon to learn how it works. I have two questions : -how can I install 'gyroscopic sensor' block in the ev3 software (or other blocks from the educationnal version, or the nxt version)? -how can I create my own blocks ? I have read somewhere on the net that there is a section called 'my blocks' to do that but I can't find it :/ Thanks for your help !

Help with your MOC
GuiliuG replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Personnally, I don't think that this topic is very usefull. When you are building a MOC and have some troubles creating what you want to get, why not simply post a topic of your creation and explain your problem ? -
[GBC] Jumper Module
GuiliuG replied to Yiharua's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It seems reliable which isn't an easy task when doing such a 'jumper' module (balls are never ejected with the same force...). I also like how you use the part to create a fake engine as a basket. -
Wow, it looks incredibly beautiful knowing you build its shape only with 8258 parts ! And it is also very interessting technically speaking. You did a great job there.

The site is really great. But why are the prices indicated in dollar rather than in euro ? -
Land Cruiser 80 Crawler (WIP)
GuiliuG replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I didn't notice this before : shock absorbers should be mounted as in the Unimog from lego, to allow axle twist without bending them ! It becomes greater and greater by the way ! -
Land Cruiser 80 Crawler (WIP)
GuiliuG replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The question is rather : do you want to break some joints or to move the steering point further away from the wheel ? -

You same don't use portal axle ?! I can see that your joint will break as soon as you will climb to important obstacles ! -

I want to say a big thanks to blakbird for his magnificient renders : -
@ TED : by buying the educationnal version, you haven't got the EV3 software, right ? So, I don't understand how it works, how do you programm without this software ? What can you install on your brick ? Do you need to purchase something else than the education kit to be able to do what you want ? I'm confused about this. And as I don't know a lot of things about the programming world, it doens't help.

New-holland excavator
GuiliuG replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks. For now, I haven't built a controller ( as it simply consists of four remote controllers pinned together) but I will build one in a few months using only two joysticks to control six functions.
