  1. Want to see a picture where you're wearing them while walking in the street :p
  2. The model is now added on rebrickable : Check out if you have all the parts to build it !
  3. Very original and it looks beautiful ! Good job.
  4. You should look at the real excavator to see that the bucket has the right proportions :) Thanks all btw.
  5. Thanks all for your sweet comments ! There are only two motors hidden in the arm, for the third arm articulation and for the bucket. The bucket is at scale, the one used in the 8043 excavator is way to big. Yes, it would be cool to add railroad wheels but there are already so many functions, don't see how to put these ^^.
  6. Hello EB-members, after lot of work, here is my new-holland excavator : Click on the picture to read the full review Which comes with building instructions : Contact me at guillaume.meurisse[dot]gmail.com to get them. They cost 15 euros. You can pay either with paypal (linked to this e-mail) or with iban. The money earned will be used to buy the EV3, so thanks in advance to all of us who will buy them ! And finally, here is the video : Any comments are welcome !
  7. It looks good indeed ! Good job, blakbird ! Ps : on a side note, I'm currently reading your tutorials about povray and they are really helpful. I could have my first renders done in a few days :p
  8. I consider than spending lot of times selecting the model you want to create and then reflecting how to create it in lego is part of the fun when designing a MOC, but it just my opinion :) I like learning how real vehicules work
  9. Thanks for these helpful informations. Seeing the alkaline curve (beginning at 8V), I'm wondering if your measure appliance doesn't own a 'systematic error' ?
  10. The rear suspension is brillant. Good job ! I'm just wondering if it's strong enough to handle the torque coming from the motor?
  11. This is the best idea Blakbird. I'm also doing this in the building instructions I'm working on. I think that this solution has two advantages. First, you save lot of times and secondly it's lot more clearer for builders than with a lot of cable going everywhere. People who will build this model aren't new in the lego world, so it should work well for them !
  12. I have no words to describe the work you did there ! It's just reminded me how organized, patient, and hard worker you are ! Great job ! But, regarding the price of the model, I'm wondering how many people will be able to afford it ?
  13. Yes, it could but you will never use the spring like that because it would be too complicated to link the spring to the motor (if not impossible).
  14. Personnaly, I like the color scheme, don't change ! The steering is very low with a mini-la, isn't-it?
  15. It's not a Macpherson strut suspension which looks like this : Which owns one triangular part in the bottom ( while my suspension setup has two links in the bottom (so two contact points with the portal axle). It has positive caster angle and a slightly camber angle (still positive). And I don't excactly understand what you mean by 'can it be steered by the shock absorber' ? It's steered by rack, as most of the lego cars.
  16. I spent one month designing this chassis, with roughly 50houres of work. Ddulers, is it a compliment to sound like Jean Claude Von Damme or not? Thanks for your comments Splat and jorgeopsi. If everything explained in the video is clear enough, then I've reached my goal I have only one servo-motor for the moment Allanp and I don't plan to add a second one in this model for some reasons. First of all, the car won't look as a jeep hurricane so it's not important if it doesn't have the same steering mod as the real jeep hurricane. More over, there will probably be building instructions for this model, and the cheaper the model, the better.
  17. I have no words to describe this beauty and how neat it is built ! What do you wait to go back work as a lego designer?
  18. Hello everybody ! The MOC I'm currently working on is a new version of the jeep hurricane. Remember, one year ago, I made this : (click on the picture to read the full review). This model works very similarly to the real jeep hurricane but isn't very functionnal in lego technic. So I had in mind to build another version, built in a simplier way to work efficiently with lego bricks. Here is the prototype of the chassis : (click on the picture to read the full review). And here is the video where everything is explained :
  19. Thanks, I have understood how it works. Great invention. Nevertheless, you should add a clutch mechanism because during gear change, two gears can be engaged at the same times !
  20. I would like to understand how it works ! Can you write a review of your invention explaining how everythings fits inside? Thanks in advance !
  21. The max torque of the servo-motor indicated by the lego company seems strange ! It's more than a Xl motor ! I guess they have made a mistake there, no?
  22. Thanks all for your kind comments. I didn't expect so much from this model ! I have all these red panels for two years now I think, so I didn't need to buy any for this model. I bought them for this man truck : The suspension system is done using simple plate, such as seen in these pictures : Front-axles Rear axles : More to come in the future, as I have again some model to feature such as this five-axle excavator :
  23. Long time since I have featured a model here. But during all this time, I haven't stopped playing with my lego bricks. So, here is my new model : (click on the picture to read the full review on my website). I'm impatient to read your comments ! GuiliuG.
  24. I will test it as soon as I can. It seems to be a very good idea ! Great job
  25. Can you explain me how does work the gearbox? I don't understand how you can have four different speeds using only one servo-motor ( with three 'stop' positions). Great project by the way.
