Jangbricks did the review of 75158. The set is even bigger disappointment than i originally thought. Boring interior, same amount of pieces than Ghost, optically smaller than Ghost and yet 20 EUR more expensive. Thanks Lego!

Another awesome Venator, looks very nice! Great to see some interior as well even though i would prefer something more realistic than bowling alley. But it's your model so i can understand that. :) Anyway great job.

Just got my Episode 1 Obi Wan, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul. Hope the figures in the up-coming set are not too superior so i don't need to update them right away. :D I was hoping for more PT sets though.

Looks like new LOTR custom parts will be available here soon http://www.bricklink...owHomeItems":1} Gondorian helmet, Gondorian Citadel Guard helmet, Gondorian shield, 2nd Age Elven helmet & 2nd Age Elven Shield. Personally i like the Citadel Guard Helmet but not 100% sold on those shields. Judging by the pictures they look a little bit too thick to me. What do you think guys?

Looks good, just think that the second level would benefit from being a little bit higher since now it kind of blends with the front wall.

My favorite set would be 75021 Republic Gunship. For me it's almost perfect representation of the vehicle and great improvement over the previous two versions. If you have enough clone troopers and clone pilots to fill it up it looks great on display.

Steel color Silver (even though looking more gray than silver to me) I would like to use the same color unfortunately i didn't make the helmets and they are not a standard lego gray. But i think i will go with your advice and use the silver one as closest color to the helmets.

Trying to update my custom Gondor army, but can't decide by myself which pauldrons to use or whether to use them at all or not. From left to right: 1. with round pauldrons (steel) 2. with round pauldrons (gray) 3. without pauldrons What do you think?

Nope definitely not for me...I am only interested in Ahsoka minifig. I am just worried it will be super-expensive to buy it separately. :/

Bought 9256 Palpatine's arrest. Honestly i was only interested in the minifigs but seeing for how much they are being sold on bricklink i took the whole set.

Thanks! Yes i think you are right. I actually experimented with greebling a little bit but using only parts i currently own i didn't like the final result and took it down. I may try again later though. :)

Hey guys, As many of you i was quite disappointed when i finnally built my own 8039 Venator. I didn't want to rebuild it completely from scratch so i did only some changes to improve external appearance and change internal layout. This is the result (for now probably final): All the DGB bricks replaced with LBG and hull plating finished Palpatine's office move to the back of the ship and replaced by hangar with WIP custom mini V-19 Torrents: Former pilot positions now serves for Jedi meetings (even though it's quite tight): I removed the terrible gun and put inside bridge with trenches, armory and barracks/canteen instead: Well that's it. It may look like lot of people since you are in the community that shares your point of view. :) However even here you can read plenty of relevant arguments for no more LOTR sets (change from 2 to 3 Hobbit movies, assumed lower sales, appeal mostly to older kids/adults etc).

And what makes you think you should get different answer?

Come on - the article is from december 2015. Both the piece count and price estimate is only derived from the fact it's an UCS set. Nothing more.

I would say Minas Tirith but we already had one that made it to the review without success + 3000 pieces limitation is probably a dead end. Therefore i vote for the Battle of Pelennor fields as well.

Picked up the new CTT. Even though i don't like the price too much i actually quite like the set itself. Since my shelf space is a bit limited the smaller size compared to previous versions is an advantage for me + Luminara is very nice minifig.

I am not saying LEGO doesn't check resellers, what i don't understand is that on one hand we are usually saying group of AFOL is too small to have any real influence on what LEGO does but on the other hand suddenly the same group buying Minifigs from resellers should directly impact pricing of the sets.

LEGO is pricing their sets based on re-sellers? Suuuuuure thing...

With no hope for any more LOTR or Hobbit Lego sets i have decided to switch to Star Wars. Since i like the Clone Wars era the most my first two sets to buy were: 75021 Republic Gunship & 8039 Venator class Republic attack cruiser.

For me without specifying the exact position: a) Phase 2 Captain Rex (even though a close call with the Phase 1 version) b) Plain Phase 1 Clone Trooper (this is just classic) c) Phase 2 Wolfpack Clone Trooper I personally don't like any of the Ep. 3 Clone Troopers since they already look more like Stromtroopers (which i am not a big fan of) than original Clones.

I would definitely love to see them. :)
