I dont think we'll get a big Dol Guldur, and I don't want it, it's design Doesen't lend itself to a fantastic lego set. They could give us a big Laketown but that seems unlikely now. Also keep in mind Ortanc size, is a special thing.

I don't think a brick buildt dragon set, needs all that random scenery.

I would say, surely not. Hopefully the "break" in dc films, will mean more proper dc comics sets!

Yeah i really hope they "catch up" with the important minifigs from early movies, Pintel, Ragetti in particular. -
Me, I wouldn't buy that. 2 in one set is quite enough. Also i think the Nazgul minifigs are pretty poor, the hoods does not match the ones in the movie AT ALL.

They do I'm pretty sure, any previosu lisences should have lost their rights to that by now.I don't see why lego would make sets for old films though.

I'm not sure the hobbit could really sustain a 5th wave of sets, without repeating itself. I think a 4th wave could be good to "pick up the slack" though!

Lego rarely lingers on franchises that aren't ongoing. I expect it will end swiftly with the last hobbit movie.

I think perhaps lego can make a Dale set next year, in the set style of a typical lego castle. Tan walls, 'snowed up' red roofs, a dash of brown and green details, sprinkled with the finest selection of battle ready minifigures. It would be part of the city, while at the same time representing the whole city due to it being an "enclosed" set. http://www.frugalliv...lego-castle.jpg http://www.thedailyb...ings-castle.png http://www.brickshow...alamut-7573.jpg Next years sets will be exciting, Because it sounds like the majority of the movie is Battle of the 5 armies, and perhaps Dol guldur attack(if thats in 3rd movie) the rest being politics and endings. It should give lego the oppertunity of making multiple sets based on each battle, Wich means we'd get a good range of soldiers, atleast 1 "standard soldier" for each army. (armored: elf, orc, dwarf and laketown man)

How about the smallest set this winter be the white council, with Galadirel and Purple Elrond minifigures. Since we already got Sarruman and Gandalf in a small set.

No word, the instruction manuals for dos hobbit sets might tell us.

These image isn't showing us anything we havent seen in vlogs already, and I expect 2 more vlogs for DOS, we're promised one 'soon' since shootng is ending, and I don't see why they wouldn't do another for post production. PJ is posting at whatever times, hes not keeoing an hourly schedule.

Eh, I think it'll be one piece rubber. Will also look better that way, allows them to make things look smaller without breaking easily.

I know this is 2014 but here's what we should expect from armored thorin. leatherr with chainmail underneath. No armor plates and such it seems.

Theres been some speculation on what will happen with the 2 preview sets and the future wave. The quote from the mtv clip, is the presenter asking about NEW playsets, not DOS sets in general. That should help clear up the fact that those 2 sets won't "steal" spots for new sets. "How many NEW hobbit playsets are going to be created?" "we have about, very estimate, um about 5" (after this the lego lady says something im unable to make out).
