Ive noticed it, but i think it's jsut broken off in shipping and the people resposble for it didn't know where to put it, Maybe thought it was an asseccory and put it on the upper floor. Also note that they had a day to fix it after the the MTV appearance but didn't. So there was no hurry.

Pictures are on fbtb.net There is an empty room behind the door that swings up, no doubt supposed to be a hiding spod when Bard is being chased. There won't be a fell beast in a Hobbit set, wich would leave lotr, wich would make that a 2014 discussion, or rather "future lotr sets" topic,

I think the overview of the display is worth posting, lego did a very nice job with their display "backdrops" this year. Incidentaly the reflection haze from the glass gives the scene a nice cold winter mist.

Except for my color issue with Bard, the figs are fantasic, all the prints are marvelous, The Smiling version of The master really does look like Stephen Fry, The Laketown guard is to die for, Hes got a goofy helmet and very colorfull clotes YET he appears very organic and naturall and serious, They did a Fantastic job on this guy! I have no issues with this figure at all! (His weapon however blerg) Thorins blue shirt is nice, I can see people using it for generic villagers. I do however find that alot of lego characther who gets capes ends up loosing a bit of the elegance, they just turn into odd blobs.. I think lego should start making Dwalin style capes instead, looks much more elegant

If I were wealthy i'd waste wahtever it cost to get the figs. its all relative whats expensive to some isn't to others. Theres lego fans of all types.

Thanks, that makes more sense. W ith alot of what gets said and resaid online you start scrutinising and doubting what most people say other people have said.

What did he say exactly? did he say the azog figure will be white or what. He's scars are never red thoguh, I don't think they should do that. They are scars, not fresh cuts. Aaaand here's what an white Azog might look like:

I hope thers some nice "props" I'd like some more green bottles! the lego bottles are fantasic! SMaug could be a set of his own though! you don't need any building with him, unless he's molded obviously.

This is obviously not the same as seeing 2 real figs together it's soemthing, the white line shows the difference in heigh from a bald minifig.

There is a door thing that swings open with the fish barrel. Secret hiding for Bard i would imagine. Or soemthing he can knock over as he runs through!

I think they should have made the torso/head one new piece, but make it so you could connect classic arms to it. I think Dog pund starts looking too much like an action figure, I like me some of that classic lego charm. (the arms could have been the long variation if needed, the point is they should be connected higher.

Barrel escape, and laketown chase(wich is bard picking them up and bringing them to laketown)

I really like flash's helmet piece, and it looks final to me the tag on top seems to just be what ends up happning in production, and from the back it looks like theres a small patch of yellow missing making it look abit odd from that perspective.

- Dale stuff with gandalf is in TABA, and Narzug gets captured by the elves in DOS. - It's the elves thats in the trees chasing the dwaves. Also we already have 2 sets involving the barrel incident.

I like azog not being white, As does weta workshop, hes far from completely white. Lego Grima is also pale, using the same color as Azog. If you want a little more flexible look at the Laketown set, i made a LDD file, obviously i don't know all the specifics. Theres a breakaway wall missing obviously, and I dont know what the backsides look like. lake town.lxf

Yes, I was expecting that aswell, a printed version of it, I'm so happy they didn't! And yeah People should judge the quality of the set without the price tag. I think it's a very good laketown representation.

Wouldn't 1000 pieces be enough? wich would simply make it the falgship of the wave.. Also ewok village and orthanc isnt USC i don't think. helms deep is 1368 pieces for example..

In LDD you can fit the Qui Gon hair over a quiver, can someone try this with real bricks?I think the elves would look clunky with space for a quiver. That said it would be good for the ones who use quivers, but not for the rest, a new mold perhaps. Azog looks much better when you dont see him directly from the front. Good thing about ebay sellers is they post more pictures! Ebay seller says there was 100Azog figs amde for sdcc, with 2 of them being sold on ebay thats 2% of everyone who got a fig is selling them...

They wouldnt change their azog molds, just add new arm molds.

This is very speculative, but it almsot sounded as if there will be 5 "normal" sets and somethign d2c or something. Unless she was thinking about polybags, it seemed like she was counting the upcoming sets in her head. but 5 sets is good, cause it means atleast 4 proper sets and one tiny set that rarely offers much for anything. (suprise me lego!) I hope the azog we get in sets have done something about the arm/shoulder situation.

NYCC revealed Gollum and goblin town sets last year. (aswell as showing bag end again) Lego lady says 5 or more hobbit sets. creating a dragon? "you'll have to wait and see" Here is the mtv video showing off lake town set. sadly it doesent zoom on laketown guard... http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/938730/sdcc-2013-lego-the-hobbit-the-desolation-of-smaug-demo.jhtml

When talking about the work that goes into making a new mold, lego almost come off as if they are complaining. So no less them 2 of them for no profit return isn't lego's business. And yeah, Mr. convention guy think exclusive means it wont show up again, just like alot of forum users assumed when they read it.

Unless the PRINT is exclusive that is absurd. Though I wouldn't put must trust in some convention employe. Another thing could be that they perhaps produced as batch of these as a test or something, and needed to get rid of them, and we'll see another Azog later. Either way, I have no doubt that we'll see an Azog figure in some DOS set.
