Since then I've come around to the black Qui gon hair. In LDD it does work with a quiver, not sure if that's the case with real bricks, Anyone care to test it? (Do still think qui gon hair lacks a little volume though)

The color is too dark. I would have wanted redishbrown coat, and dark brown hair. Film --- lego color --- my color That picture doesen't have a chase, but the chase is supposed to be Bard running from the guard. On a side note, The master's cape looks to be red on the inside and purple on the outside Seems lego has really got it started with 2-colored capes!

Oooh real pictures!, Bard looks much better now, tho I still think the color choise for his coat is wrong.

No no, what we saw were the actors on set, in Dale, they were shooting BO5A stuff. They have showns alot of behind the scenes stuff concerning bo5a. Smaug wll hve nothing to do with Dale in DOS. Legolas has some action in laketown well before smaug attack though. You are combining quotes that shouldnt nessecarily be connected. The final batte with smaug does not involve the dwarves, they just have some action with him before he flies off to lake town. the big action piece Fran talks about is whatever is at the end of the movie, it wasn't nessecarily in relation to the dwarves vs smaug.

They are present for BO5A, thats why gandalf is with them. No no, thats Beorn, that happens on the outsirts of mirkwood, before the dwarves go into mirkwood, should happend VERY early in DOS. (bear thing)

Smaug is done with Dale, hes out for laketown next. Battle of the 5 armies will partly take place in Dale.

It's for bard to escape through, if u see the video diaries you see bard running through the city in clever ways. It's just crazy cg reflection/shine

Do take notice that they use 2 shades of brown. And that it seems things in this render comes out fair bit darker than real life lego.

There might be no smaug merchandise this year, cause they are keeping him SEMI secret, this set doesen't need smaug. Smaug can be in a Smaug vs Dwarves set. where smaug is the main build.

I've seen alot of pictures of Bard and i disagree, on top of that I don't like the Qui gon hair piece overall. its too smooth and shiny, and a bit too bad-sleek I'm sure I'll think it looks better when we see the face print without the 3d off-ness

Complaining time. Uh oh, lego made Bard dark brown, he should be redish brown or nougat. I think the feather in Master of laketown's hat should be yellow. The guard has blue on his pants wich i think should be purple aswell.. Hopefully that might jsut be a mistake with the 3d model.

In a range of say 6 hobbit dos sets, where do you thin this is price and brick count wise? 2nd biggest? 3rd biggest?

I disagree, Thorins hair is like made for Bard, it looks right, and allows for quiver, Bard the BOWMAN, needs his quiver, it's also a shame they didnt print his quiver strap on him. note: gothic arch in brown.

Cool, tho they messed up Bard's hair, he should use the Thorin mold. That guard is cute! This 3d version does not show of the face prints tight though!. It does look like the movies lake town style.

Haaang on, Azog never have blue lines, and making him whitecould be a bit too crude looking. New arms? no no, it's the torso that should have been all new so the arms were connected right.

To keep the dwarves small, it would serve lego well to give everyone besides the dwarves armor,

Last years bilbo had a HUGE "exclusive" labbel on it. I say it again, timed exclusive/context exclusive(packaging) Anyways, its so nice to have something concrete to talk about regarding 2013 hobbit lego. I mean, we still havent even gotten a leaked set list.

Yep, TIMED exclusive. The only times lego makes free figures with new molds is when someone else pays for it, (nesquick, BR toys) I believe we will see the set he comes with tomorrow. Well its one of them bricks with a srud on either side to conenct things. I think they should have opted for the fan/moc solution of using a technic(?) cog piece instead.. http://cache.lego.co...GalleryFile.jpg http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/82990/1367196649m_SPLASH.jpg

Read the previous posts on here, most people (atleast me) are like 100% sure he's not REALLY exclusive.

Compare it to lego gollum, you can see it's very much the same style. Also the packaging for him front and back, it's not fake.

All the WETA Azog merchandise is fairly beige, I hope they have updated him in movie aswell, casue the overly whiteness made him look fake. I think in 5(?) months the only thing exclusive about this figure is the packaging. And might I add, Lego Azog is gosh darned CUTE!

After doing some comparative mesuring, i have confirmed they are normal sized.

They do infact claim it is exclusive on the packaging, however that's just for now. But have no doubt this will be in a set. lego wouldnt make 2 new molds to give away free, and he is the main antagonist of a trilogy, so he will be in sets no doubt. Save your money for now and spend it on the full set later this year

It's obviously the height of his arms/shoulder that makes it look strange. Covering that up shows how fantastic he really is. QUESTION, Are those normal sized lego legs or a new medium tall set? And it's pretty clear, this is no more than a TIMED exclusive.
