  1. The numbers might seem like a 50:1 ratio but it is more like 11:1 when population is considered: 1/6 of 64 million people in UK = 11 million 1/300 of 314 million people in USA = 1 million I completely agree that it would do well. One million fans is nothing to scoff about. A Tardis set would sell out in minutes in the USA if there was a "this is limited to 10,000 units" rumor driving sales. It would probably sell a few more after the next wave of "gosh we never said it was limited" sets appear. ;)
  2. The link to the store's main page has to be: http://shop.lego.com/en-US. The "/US" in http://shop.lego.com/US is not a valid path on their server, which is why you get the error. I apologize because I don't fully understand what the original scenario is or how to reproduce it. It sounds like you might have typed the URL incorrectly or followed a bad link from somewhere. Your browser most likely is not malfunctioning.
  3. Perhaps it has something to do with nanoblock's success.
  4. Those look like they are at different price points and the cars are different models.
  5. I think it was rejected because of licensing (Jurassic Park) issues. He resubmitted it again along with a new one: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/48453 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/56748
  6. I'd probably buy all of those.
  7. I agree with what Jim wrote. It sounds like there might be one or two respondents at one extreme. Sometimes data points like that, whether online reviews, scientific studies, surveys, questionnaires, evaluations, etc., are simply discarded because they are anomalies — or just not relevant. I'm new and not that familiar with everyone so I checked your blog and post history. Seems good to me. With such a small number of negative comments, I'd suggest just keep doing what you are doing. :) Edit: Your blog seemed really cool. I thought the RUOK post was especially good.
  8. Thanks for the review. I've been on the fence about this one but I might pick one up now. :)
  9. Only one way to find out!
  10. These are cool! Good job!
  11. The real problem is IE and it has always been that way, especially since IE 6. You might find your experiences to be a lot better if you switch to a better browser.
  12. Good point. It does not work like Kickstarter where you only pay if the goal is met. From gofundme's website: What if I don't reach my goal? No problem. With GoFundMe, you keep each and every donation you receive. Reaching your goal is not required.
  13. Very nice! The exterior is great and the interior tells great stories.
  14. Thanks for sharing the lxf.
  15. They could be solar sails. :)
  16. Hi JDC! Nice to meet you. I don't think it is required but you might want to post an intro in the Hello! My name is... section. Lots of friendly folks all over eurobricks.
  17. That could be bad if it involves Technic gears and Power Functions.
  18. I usually don't like my projects to be a combination of things but anyone is free to be creative in their own way. If I were to use the action figure, once I had the outer shell figured out I'd go back and rebuild the frame to support it. However, Lazarev had a different intent and I think it really works well in this case.
  19. "I'm Lovin' It!"
  20. I was going to say someone who can create titles isn't reading this thread. But then I scrolled back up to the OP.
  21. You need some ice cream that has potato chips in it.
  22. Are there two different categories: physical and digital?
  23. There is no correlation between gender ratios and the colors of flowers.
  24. Create an empty lot with an excavator that discovers a skeleton while digging a pit. Grab a few construction minifigs from the LEGO Movie and have them stand around while the researcher investigates.
  25. How about a little alien souvenir/diner/tours shack with a Flo (from the TV show Alice) minifig?
