One giant set, 3000 pieces @ $0.10/piece + $50 licensing = $350 "Too expensive!" Meanwhile in another thread on eurobricks... Ten sets, 300 pieces @0.10/piece + $10/set licensing = $400 "Check out this amazing haul!" I'm not picking on anyone. I've been there.

For some it is worse than one part breaking in 25 years. There was another thread here a week ago in which someone said over 100 pieces broke in three sets that he bought brand new and assembled last year. That is beyond bad. -

I'd love to get a rocker monster. He is going to be an important member of the CMF rocker band. I also want the big-brained scientist. In fact, I think it could be the coolest CMF in this series. I have absolutely no interest in things like zombies, whether it be LEGO minifigs, a video game, a movie, anything. Everybody is different in their own special way. -

What the color change in the Green baseplates?

I had been putting off getting some real green baseplates because I avoid malls before Christmas. When I found out about the 60% price increase, I was bummed but figured I'd pay for procrastinating. But I have no use for lime. I've been to the local LEGO store several times and they haven't had green in stock so I can't tell which color it really is. -
It's ok. Maybe your team will do better next year.

Or you have to build a machine a la Nico71 to weave your own Technic strings.

And by checking the dots and using process of elimination, you should be to get a complete set of 16 when selecting only 16 packages, without any duplicates, and without feeling what is inside.

CMFs are not distributed at random. The reason you find fewer hot dog guys in opened boxes is because that is the minifig everyone wants, especially if they can only have one. My wife and I went through every pack in six almost-full but opened boxes — there were no hotdog guys but we found all the others. Only when we got access to a new, unopened box did we find hotdog guys.

I love the detailing in the wall and roof construction. The colors and techniques look great.

I'm hoping Sariel will mod his 8-legged MINI Cooper by adding a rail gun on top of a crane that is mounted on the roof. Oh no he di'int! Oh wait, yes he did. Seriously though, I'm looking forward to the crawler crane. I just hope it isn't yellow. (Edit: I just caught with with later posts and remembered rumors about blue and white.)

I agree. I assumed this was a problem with one particular batch or factory because I hear quality issues like this over and over again at work. It always comes back to products made in a certain country.
