  1. Great work! I'd love to buy an entire theme.
  2. I bought two and I'm very happy. I was more interested in the B model but I always have to build the A model and I don't like to disassemble right away. When I was done with both, I enjoyed building each but I wish the B model had more detail and functionality. I will probably start modifying the B model with parts from the A model. JT
  3. I wanted the 60080. $119+ for 586 pieces? Um.... no.
  4. This is wonderful, a great tribute to the orangutan. Maybe this can somehow raise awareness about their habitat and extinction concerns.
  5. I love all versions of wipeout! This is great.
  6. Registrant Country: China Admin Country: China Tech Country: China Any questions? Seriously though, they have only registered this domain for one year, which probably cost as much as your lunch. That is perfectly allowable but it is the absolute minimum and strange for a business. Creation Date: 2014-12-26T05:48:51Z Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2015-12-26T05:48:51Z I'm not sure how the UK or Europe is relevant. traceroute ends with an IP address within a block for a networking company in China. address: Hai Nan Nice Win networking Ltd address: 268 Rom HaiNeng building # 36 DaTong road address: HaiKou city HaiNan Province address: CN
  7. I understand that but I don't understand why they would already provide a URL and then return 404. It seems like if it isn't accepted yet, it should say "under review" or not even generate a URL yet. It isn't a big concern - I just wonder why things work the way they do sometimes. :)
  8. The server returns a 404 error for that URL. I also tried searching for "martian tripod", "martian", "mars", etc. and couldn't find anything. Is there another name or link I can try?
  9. Oops, I read that late that night and wrote my comment incorrectly. It sounded to me like he was saying the green color AND the lack of being able to connect on the bottom were new changes — that the previous baseplate was able to attach pieces to the bottom. I have the previous green and blue baseplates and they are the same way. ;) I understand what he meant now.
  10. I'm confused. That reviewer writes, "and non connectable bottomed plate." Seriously? You can't attach anything to the bottom?
  11. Did you ask the person who posted that picture on flickr?
  12. Too many decals, especially the headlamps! ;)
  13. number of studs * width of one stud - 0.2mm for example, with p = the width of one stud = 8mm : 10 * p - 0.2mm = 79.8mm 20 * p - 0.2mm = 159.8mm 30 * p - 0.2mm = 239.8mm
  14. I think the designer of that Jurassic Park set called it Jurassic Park at first, then it was rejected due to licensing (neither confirmed nor denied any relationship at the time), so he had to resubmit it as "Dinosaurs" or something like that. :)
  15. I agree. It won't be soon. I think LEGO quality is a huge bar to reach.
  16. I deal with 3D printing / rapid prototyping for work from time to time. I think LEGO clutch precision is farther out than a lot of other types of products, but it is coming. Actually, it is already here for some applications: LEGO search on thingiverse.com There will continue to be leaps. Less than ten years ago a printer was the size of a large refrigerator and cost as much as a car. Now you can put something better on your desk for under $500. There are even spools of conductive material — yes, you can actually print circuitry on these same machines. Higher end machines can already print in multiple colors. Just think of the music industry. Anyone with a laptop can use software that costs as much as what an hour used to cost in a six-figure studio. Many products are already being sold and distributed the way music is now, a file.
  17. This is gorgeous. I like how it opens up for an operator. Of course I'd like to check out the LDD! :)
  18. Snagglepuss could probably play Saul while Dexter could play Heisenberg as a child.
  19. I agree 100% and understand what you mean but that's not what I meant. I was comparing that set to a one-time "haul" of a bunch of sets that are more expensive but seem like a better value, like something you'd see on youtube or here in the "what did you buy today" thread.
  20. Second down. One yard to go. (which means they have three more attempts to move the ball three feet and win the Super Bowl) Lynch: "I'm just here to win this game, Boss." OC Bevell: "Nah. Let's do the one thing no team should ever do. Even seven year-olds on PeeWee teams know better than to try this. That'll fool 'em." Pass intercepted. OC Bevell: "It was Lockette's fault.""
  21. It has always looked like the original darker green plate to me and I assumed they didn't update the picture, leading to the problems you describe.
  22. Very cool! The functionality and details are very impressive. I agree with rollermonkey. The pwnage is strong with this one.
  23. Would it be possible to use a real image hosting company and post these within the bounds of 800x600 pixels? These thumbnails are only 128x72 pixels. I love your project and reading about the progress - I just wish I could see what you are saying about the pictures.
