  1. Hi guys, I want to have a tachometer to test my MOCs RPM and I am considering four options: Building it with LEGO (I have seen videos of LEGO tachometers (Nico71 is a great example) and they worked quite well but centrifugal tachometers are big and not really accurate, because you have to calibrate it yourself). Buying some sort of RC tachometer (I can't find any at a good price that could be attached to my MOCs. Buying the LEGO speed computer. Use gear ratio calculators and not buy or build anything (I will need to switch on the computer each time I want to know something, because I don't think there is any mobile app for Android to calculate LEGO gear ratios or at least I couldn't find it). What should I do? Any advice of which one to buy if you choose second option? Thank you in advance and sorry for my poor English, I hope you can understand it. EDIT: 5th option: Making it using Arduino but I think it's quite difficult/expensive to make it work as accurate as a "real" tachometer.
  2. Teasers only make me feel angrier watching how somebody puts more details in a small space than me in all the MOC :P
  3. Ok, thank you. In fact I own like 30 flick missiles but I was only being curious...
  4. Piterx, since I currently don't own any changeover catch or driving ring i don't know why have you attached the gearbox stick with a flick missile, wouldn't it be better to have a 3L axle? Is the changeover catch axle hole frictionless so you can't do that?
  5. Huayra has less votes now? Next time put a poll. I had again the same problem reading 797B and thinking about the Mazda. Gran Turismo's fault :P
  6. When I read 797B I first thought you had made a Mazda 787B... I think you could make a very good Group C race car like that one, but maybe you prefer more mecanichally complicated machines. Sorry for my bad English.
  7. They look like some sort of chrome in my phone... I don't know which colour is flat silver, are you talking about metallic silver?
  8. Looks good. When I get all the panels necesary in any colour (I don't mind which one but I prefer white or black) I'll rebuild my 9398 and do the same. Are those "chromed" parts original LEGO?
  9. Lego should produce your MOCs, I think people will buy this a lot. Did you made instructions for any of your models? (I think you said you had a sponsor and they were going to sell your istructions?).
  10. No, you are not :( Good idea for steering.
  11. Well, it's not realistic but it's a fun function for kids to play with.
  12. Die bugs die!
  13. Wow! Not a car but I like it. I like the fuselage disasembling.
  14. You made the actuator look small.
  15. Maybe the could call it racing prototype?
  16. You are right, it's mossing the vertical stabyliser, I hope it does not have understeer or flips overs when takes a big bump :P I don't think we'll get new hubs until 2015 or 2016. Don't you think it will be cool that LEGO bought the ACO (or FIA or whatever it's needed for Le Mans) license and made real prototypes?
  17. Are the clefts (this is translated with google, I don't know the word, sorry, it may be wrong) in the wheel arch a stickey? The look too "realistic". Edit: They should be, I don't see LEGO producing two or three different molds for the same part, but the sticker looks too perfect.
  18. I've now counted 47 but 8 of them are wheel arches- as I consider them panels (I think there are two per wheel??)
  19. LEGO doesn't fly and will never fly at least with the motors that are currently in production and with the batteries on board, are you going to "fake" the flight?
  20. I've counted 43 panels in the set (maybe I'm wrong), isn't that a lot for a set this size? Which is the record amount of panels in a Technic set?
  21. You always want models to be realistic and I think the second one is more realistic. EDIT: seems like there is no Shell sponsorship.
  22. Well anyone who uses it has to pay the material haha.
  23. It will be cool building a Martini one with all the green parts in white, some blue panels and red stripes.
  24. Well done! Good luck with the missing ones.
