LEGO NXT Problem
PROlego replied to dr_spock's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
A member from HispaLUG COULD go to customer service last week but he had to send his NXT unit. He also had an LCD failure but the unit itself worked. He was given a new NXT unit. -
I like it. Put tracks on it. Looks better than your original model.

E motor
PROlego replied to Dafgek81's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
All motors can be used as generators if they are spined by an external source. The E-motor is a motor that is not geared down. It has a lot of RPM buy really really really low torque. It can be used as a fast engine (but it lacks strenght and eficiency) or as a generator. Since it doesn't have internal gearing it's suitable to make a windmill or a dinamo that generate energy, because it's really easy to spin. It's almost useless without an special battery (not the rechaergable one but another with an LCD screen) because you can't store the energy. Sorry for my poor English hope you understand it. -
I dreamed that the 42009 had a wrong label and instead of 199,99 € the price was 19,99 € and I didn't had any money to buy it. They didn't accept being payed with a card so I went to an ATM to pick some money and when I went back the set was labelled 219,99 € . I also dream how to solve a problem with a drivetrain or how to make my car body better.

My suspension systems always work in a flawless and smooth way. I've never heard gears cracking. It's easy to do very well modelled car bodies with LEGO parts. I have never need a PF small motor. I won't use metal gears if they existed. I think the servo motor is really cheap. We don't need longer liftarms or stronger differentials.

Like it! Maybe needs some micro panels to fill some gaps but I don't know if they're in white. Both functions seem to work great. -

Buying Advice
PROlego replied to CRASH142's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'll also recomend number one, but first decide which kind of MOCs do you want to make. If you don't like machinery you will have too much yellow. If you are going to keep the set built go for 42030. -

I would back it if my parents let me to do so... Great features. I think you will reach like 65000 pounds or so, so we will have the flat top design. Do you plan to put the stair-top design in the future (with the sales money)?- 771 replies

Thanks you both for this warm wellcome! Maybe my written English is okay but half of the time that I spend writing the message is correcting things ZBLJ, I like your flying things. Try not to be hit by the propeller. EDIT: Forgot to say my other hobbies. I love F1 racing, I've been watching it since 2004 but the first season I really remember is the 2007 one (and the end of 2006 with the double-world champion Fernando Alonso). I didn't found any recent topic to talk about it in the community section (is that the place to look for it?). I also play in a five-a-side football team. We were the champions for the Comunidad Valenciana region in 2012 (but at our age we couldn't go to a national category).

[MINI] Deep Sea Expedition Ship

I like it, but think the antenna is too big/out of place. Maybe without it you will have enough parts to add wheels (I know boats don't have wheels but LEGO will include them on a set to allow for better playing experience and the motto of the contest is "imagine your MOC being sold as a real LEGO set".
