  1. Hey All, Here an updated and revamped version of the 42025. By now.... this is a little older model, but I loved the model but think that there was much to improve. Details can be found at: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/418746 Briefly, 42025, IMO, was a great model but too small. That's what you get when it is not a flagship model. Also, many were clamoring for a functioning tail rudder. Consider that done. Updated the propellers to resemble current planes and implemented a larger motor. Check out the results on the above webpage. Quickly, here are some pics.....and video.
  2. Glitch in their system. They were not earlier today and for the past few. Anyone who follows mocpages knows that it goes out occasionally. Obviously it is now back and functional. In fact, Sariel, a very popular MOCer, recently posted a new creation in which you could not see pics for a few days......but now it looks like the site is back fully functional.
  3. Some pics are disappearing because something is wrong with mocpages. I created a light kit with 16 different lights for the AROCs, added the kit, took pics and posted them. But they are now gone b/c of dumb mocpages. If others are taking images from mocpages they will also be gone from any posts on eurobricks. because of the exceptionally low attachment limits here on eurobricks others can't just simply attach their images. even the pics from my signature block are gone.....
  4. Yea..... I bet this won't lift much more than its own weight. ~ 15000 Lego pieces gets pretty heavy. This is an incredible achievement..... thanks for sharing.
  5. lol..... I love that you had to go out swimming after it.
  6. Wow..... this thing is wonderful. The renders really let it flex its technical muscles......
  7. Hey Everyone..... Not sure if anyone remembers or has heard of Artifex Creations. They used to have a site but it looks like they are revamping it and it is down, which is a shame because I wanted to show the lighting kit they put out years ago for the Unimog. It was pretty cool stuff. Although I didn't buy their kit, I have many lights from the folks at lifelites.com (third-party lighting kits for Lego builds). Anyways, thought I would put together a kit for the new Arocs. Here are some pics. Overall..... pretty fun modification and even more fun trying to get some good shots of the Arocs. Pretty easy in terms of the replacement parts needed to do the modification, but things get real tight (people who have built this beast know what I am talking about) and can get complicated. I provide more pics and even some brief instructions on how to add these lights should anyone be interested in doing so. Just check out the truck's site on my mocpages: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/418368 Thanks for looking!
  8. Lego abuse! Lego abuse! lol.... you are really pushing the limits of those liftarms. I love your builds..... and also great presentations. Sure there could be some improvements as stated by others.... but IMO, overall, great job. Umm..... any positives? Great and valuable comments to be sure from a true master, but overall, this is not a bad build. I have seen the other posts by this OP and it seems that there is some unbalanced criticism IMO towards this guy's builds.
  9. Could not agree more..........The issue stems so much further than even physics and mechanics (which I will not elaborate on). Just not gonna happen folks for a myriad of reasons.....
  10. I think you are asking the wrong question. I think you feel there is some formula or something to follow, and if you learn what variables to plug in your formula a successful MOC will be born. But I don't think it really works that way. There is no secret formula. I don't want to speak for Crowkillers or Jeroen Ottens but you have some other really great builders who have offered a different formula. That formula is patience, practice, time and effort. I don't really think there is any magic technique or formula that can replace those variables. Good Luck!
  11. This is great to be sure. But to be consistent with an earlier post regarding the sources of ideas........ hasn't this idea for tracks been done by someone before? I swear it is in the signature block of one of our esteemed members here on EB. I think it is famed train enthusiast.... Mark Bellis.
  12. Still not answering my question. Here is the exact response from the owner of Minds-i..... which still leaves me somewhat confused. Trevor, We have parts that we call screw adapters that allow you to bolt on anything that you can fit a 4-40 screw through (see attached picture). The attached pic is below, which I think is a little confusing. His response says that anything a 4-40 screw will fit through will work, therefore, LEGO should be compatible with Minds-i (4-40 screws can fit into liftarm holes) . But in the pic, you will notice that the circular notched parts that fit into the holes of the Minds-i liftarms need also to fit. So, you can imagine a hole that although can fit a 4-40 screw into, but not the notched circular parts, will actually NOT work, contrary to what the owner mentions. This is what worries me. I am not sure if the notched circles (that hold the screws, below they are drk gray and white) will fit into LEGO liftarms....b/c I don't know the diameter of these.
  13. Sorry to bump this thread... but after doing some research and even contacting the company I still don't have an answer if they are compatible with LEGO. I know they are bigger (their 15 L liftarm equivalent is 6 inches, so Saberwing's calculations are more or less correct.... but that doesn't really address the question if their screw adaptations can potentially work with LEGO. Indeed the holes in their liftarm equivalents are larger so with the screw adaptations there is potential. Those that have seen my work know that I enjoy trying to push the limits of what LEGO can do. Integrating LEGO with stronger elements and or RC components is fun. If this is something that could work, I think the versatility of the product would increase, and the strength and available applications of LEGO would as well. Personally I love the versatility of LEGO, but how much more cool would it be if one could use actuators, motors, etc. and other products that are stronger in their models? Think of an AROCS that could actually lift something. An 8070 that actually has some guts to it...etc. Anyone ever buy this Minds-i stuff that could comment regarding its compatibility with LEGO? I would like to buy a package, but if it is not compatible at all i won't waste my money....
  14. 16: 10 10: 6 20: 4 14: 3 9: 2 1: 1 Holy crap everyone...... great job! Have so say.... one of the criteria I thought was vital was believability of the transformation. Those that were quick IMO were more functional and therefore believable. But again... great job everyone!
  15. Lol..... not a serious post guys. Com'on.... really? I didn't even pose it there as a serious decoration piece for the home. I love LEGO.... but I'm not that demented. I do not have LEGO scattered around the home for decoration. My wife really did knock it down. It was not done b/c of neglect on my part. It was all in good fun.....like I said, I did not even place it there as a serious decoration. Try and get the sarcasm here folks........I sy I will help with the home decoration and then put up a LEGO SW model. Sarcasm. Not being serious. Just trying to get a good reaction out of someone who I have a lot of fun with............
  16. No worries.... I will get her back by sabotaging her shoe collection......... Full details at: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/417991
  17. Interesting. Especially b/c it has many fewer pieces than the Arocs. Thanks for looking it up.....
  18. I notice on the bags that bag six is labeled as "6." (emphasis on the period). Obviously this is to avoid confusing it with a "9"...... but, I can't remember the last LEGO set that had 9 bags. I know they are out there.... but being that this is the largest Technic set ever, not in the Technic genre. Anyone know sets that have at least 9 bags in them? I looked on BL and there is not that type of information there.....
  19. Lol......unexpected. Well, I guess it does say "professional" on it. Which adequately describes your models........
  20. Did the Arocs hit CPT America? Looks like he left part of his on his grill
  21. lol... I like the teeth. And for those who are claiming they only use their hands there is a little disclosing that needs to go on There are simply some configurations of Technic where it is impossible to remove a part without the use of a tool. Even if it is just another axle to push out an axle out of a tight spot......say, a 2L red axle out of like ummm.... a 2L spot. ... that is still considered a tool. This is what happens when you build the Arocs from beginning to end without stopping
  22. So you post to mocpages before eurobricks uh? How rude! j/k -- great job as always Sariel. Pretty incredible that you are able to pack so many motors in such a tight space.
