  1. If you're going witch, perhaps just set a black pointy hat on top of his head for the picture, with a bit of Blu-Tack if it keeps falling off, and use a chain to secure a cape around his neck? I know the Darth Vader CBBS comes with a bigger-sized cape, although that one is probably too big...
  2. I love the way it looks, but I can't help thinking that the black pants make her look a little more Black Knight than Mystic. Either way, those are still some great part choices!
  3. Why would that mean fleshies? None of those characters are under a license. Why would that mean fleshies? None of those characters carry a license(unless the theme is based off a specific movie).
  4. "Well, I do know how we can protect one sheep." The Black Knight reached out and gently petted one of the beasts on the head. "Good girl. You're a pretty girl, aren't you? Yes you are, yes you are." He reached into his Bag of Holding, and pulled out his Trickster's Mask of the Human. "Now, let me just slip it on you, there's a good girl..." He carefully pulled the string back, and settled it around the head of one of the sheep(Maud), so that she equipped it. OoC: I knew that would come in handy.
  5. (Since it's Rules and FAQ, I decided this was a better place for the question.) After a lot of thought, I'm seriously thinking about putting off the first quest in my trilogy until I've reworked the plot to a point where I personally feel satisfied with it. It's perfectly playable, but it's missing something. I'm instead considering a single, stand-alone quest that doesn't have any ties to my other four(trilogy+loosely connected stand-alone). Are there any grassy plains on Olegia that have mountains(or at least foothills, buttes, mesas, etc.) alongside them, and haven't yet been fully flushed out?
  6. EDIT: Wrong topic.
  7. The Black Knight shrugged. "We learned little new information, sadly - just that the beings occasionally drop what they're attempting to lift." He turned to the gnome. "Also, I was unable to locate any mechanical devices, so it would appear that we may need to amend that plan."
  8. "Whoever heard of a witch...that truly died?"
  9. As he and the Mystic Knight stood there in the quieting village, the Black Knight shook his head. "No springs, or sheepskins. Crumbs. Alas for my dreams of diplomacy - it would appear that my plans to gift a special sheep to these beings, has ended up blowing up in rather the wrong persons' faces." He shook his head again. "Well, shall we "hoof" it to the sheep fields?" Ooc: Lind is ready to return to the sheep fields as soon as Purpearl is.
  10. If Lind is on the (hoped-for) quest that drops the last Plaything, and he manages to convince the others to let him have it, there won't be any abusing of its powers. I have a special bit of RP in mind for that situation...
  11. The possibilities for a Munchkin... :cry_happy: :cry_happy: Technically, you could buy a Zoot's Plaything, since it's an item that's consumable... (If it was only 'buy any single pre-existing consumable,' consumable would receive the action of the transitive verb buy. But item is receiving the action of the verb buy, thus meaning that consumable is only an adjective - and thereby only limits the choice to things that can be consumed...)
  12. I'd also like to point out, that from the height the helmet is relative to the torso, I'm questioning whether or not it's coming with a pair of airtanks. It's probably that I'm just not seeing it right - after all, the photo angles have almost all been ones that more or less would be blocking the tanks from view, and after their releasing the tanks in green with the Exo-Suit, they almost certainly would want to get the most out of the color run...
  13. The Black Knight held out his hands, palms up. "Much as I would like to,-" Seeing the women start to protest, he spoke slightly quicker(but not more nervously). "Much as I would love to satisfy both of your lovely selves' needs - or the singular case, whichever is worked out to be more preferable, necessity calls me to abstain, at least until the morrow. When I...engage romantically, I can be rather...energetic, if I might euphimise, to an extent where I am very nearly violating the third law of mechanics. I'm still quite...energetic afterwards, for several more hours than you might suppose, but the flame has been partially burnt out for the moment, if you keep get the general drift. Not that that's a bad thing, but when I'm going into battle, I need a roaring maelstrom of fire, not the comfortable afterglow of a thick shovel of coals. He winked. "But, there is one thing, though, that might get this whole nasty battle business out of the way almost before it's started, leaving us free for...more important business. Do either of you lovely ladies know about anything up here, on top of the world, that is powered by a spring mechanism, and is there any way that I could get my hands onto a sheepskin? It doesn't need to be a particularly nice one, even, a poor one would almost be better."
  14. I actually got an error piece in a vintage MISB 6236-1: King Kahuka. It had sat in that box for almost two decades, only for me to open it, and find out that the minifig machine had messed up. Kahuka was missing his right hand! I still haven't put in a replacement hand yet.
  15. It looks as if 70409 has a double sided flag, whereas 70411's only has printing on one side... I could understand it, if it was the cheaper set with less printing, but the more expensive set... Perhaps you picked up the one set that the machine had misprinted? That would explain it.
  16. Because it's an Ideas set - shorter shelf life.
  17. The Black Knight thought quickly. He did not want to flirt romantically with the two, as he was attempting to pay some sort of courtship to that Elven knight back at the hall, and having been trained in Munchkin mores from birth, in his heart, to romantically engage with anyone besides the person he was trying to court, even if only flirting, would be close to, if not outright, a betrayal of said courtship, even if the feelings were never reciprocated. However, the current duty took at least some precedence, at least to certain limits, and although he highly doubted the two had anything of interest to share, he decided to verbally walk as close to the line as safely possible, if only for any precious scraps of information. Especially as to anything that might be powered by spring power... He smiled back at the two. "I've always considered myself as being more of the dashing rogue category, but now that you mention it, that of the dark brooding hero does seem to fit better." "Well, to do that, I'll have to survive the night first, although I doubt that will be a problem." He winked. "The dark of angst is at home, sweet home, with the dark of night. But speaking of night, I was wondering about these beams - have you ever seen them drop anything after they've picked it up?"
  18. Would co-hosting a quest(like Warlen's situation) count towards the five quest minimum needed for a second character?
  19. Lind probably studied art at some point, but if he has, he's never mentioned it. Hey, I'd be the one conquering/GMing the galaxies*(as a humble minion of the great OverGM Sandy, of course.) *Still need to come up with a better name than HeroSpace...
  20. The Seventh Seal?
  21. Great job! I especially like your rockets - clever idea basing them on 4588/4591! "You are not alone..."
  22. I wouldn't say that Monorail is dead forever, if LEGO thinks they have a good reason to bring it back, and they can justify the budget, they will. It may end up having a different mold, as replicating the original molds would add to the cost, but I sincerely doubt that all hope of one is gone. LEGO has repeatedly shown in the last few years that they do listen to the AFOL crowd, and they will go against what seems normal for them, if they can make a profit. Look at Anakin Solo's Custom Starfighter - who would have expected we would have gotten something like that, especially seeing how old and out of mainstream use the media featuring it was? But we still got it. Granted, it's a slightly different case, since it's from what is one of, if not the the, best-selling lines, but LEGO is quite aware of how much the AFOL crowd wants a Monorail, and I'm certain that the AFOLs working as designers, like Mark Stafford, have kept looking out for a good reason to introduce one. It'll take time, certainly, but with the ever-increasing demand for a new one, I'm guessing that it will come, someday, in some form.
  23. It sounds like the site's being re-written to offer a LEGO Pirates themed click-and-choose-your-own-adventure story...
  24. The Black Knight pulled off his helmet. Without the black metal framing his face, the hard expression it had displayed for the majority of the quest so far seemed to vanish, replaced with the boyish look that he had had when he first entered the Hall. "Good evening." He flashed a wide smile, and waited for them to answer the Mystic Knight's questions.
  25. Not to go off topic, but the Alien Conquest theme did introduce an alien empire - the Hypaxxians, with multiple designs and sub-species(Pilots, troopers, scientists, brain-beasts, etc.), and the CMFs gave us their Empress, in the form of the Alien Villainess fig.
