Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"On a bar diagram of useful ways to waste our time, this would be marked in the bottom left corner," muttered the Black Knight as he clipped Statler smartly on his ear. Proposed Battle Order: Purpearl vs. Statler Lind vs. Statler -

If he can, the Black Knight surreptitiously douses his hands with an agent(Venom), and OoC: If he can't, then ignore. EDIT: Never mind, battle order has already started - unless Lind can still apply it without spending a battle turn? -
Can Venom be applied to hands, if a character is fighting barefisted?

Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Yes - three versus three. Our choices ended up almost balancing each other out, too. I'm the lowest player, but I'm teamed up with the highest, versus the two middle players. Of course, that doesn't take into account anything but level number, so it'll be interesting to see which is the last party standing. -

Beautiful, and using the sarcophagus as the center of the Eye - pure genius. Any chance on your using this as part of a larger display/Would you mind if possibly someday, when I have the spare tan bricks for it, I borrowed your Eye idea? -

"If you insist." Lind keeps the Tunic and Tricorne equipped. -

"Quite fair, quite fair." Lind de-equips the Tunic and the Tricorne*. *Since the battle hasn't officially started, this shouldn't cost me a round. -
That's either going to work horribly, or be awesome. The only question is how do you win? Because the giant fan blades kind of make it a little( ) bit difficult to knock the figure over. Of course, they could just be resting loosely inside - but if that's the case, how are they going to stay inside long enough to take off... This is definitely a long shot. But what if R.E.X. is a play on the word wrecks? If you compare it to the DB, they use a lot of the same shapes and parts... It couldn't be that it was assembled from fragments of the Bounty, could it? Say...Parts of a wreck*? *Which instantly points out the problem that the word 'wrecks' is either a plural noun, or a verb...What if it's parts of different wrecked ships?

OoC: You mean half of a level, right? Not that I have any arguments against a full level, though. The Black Knight shook his head. "Oh, but of course! How many better uses of our time could there possibly be! Let me count the ways..." He cuffed Statler on the side of his head. "To even hope to win any verbal conflict, you need better weapons than cheap insults and feeble attempts to redirect attention." -
"Yes." Is it just me, or does this sentence sound...kind of creepy? Why do I have a feeling he's 'not quite dead'...

Casually dropping behind the rest of the heroes, the Black Knight quietly spoke. "I'd keep your hands close to your weapons, if I were the three of you. Blocking off a path with a cart, in a people-less land? The majority of thieves would refuse to try it, it's such a common trick. The only question, is where are the rest of them hiding..." He stepped forward and raised his hand. "Can we assist you in the repair of the vehicle, gentlemen? We have fellows to see about sheep, and your cart is unfortunately somewhat in the way of that." -
What happens if the #105 team doesn't kill the Regret?
-
Actually, they have. The torso (chests) are from this minifig, and the legs from this one.

The Black Knight nodded, lost in thought. If the rest of the party was ready to leave, he was done here as well. -

I definitely like your ideas here, but I'm not sure whether or not three ether is too high a price. -

The Black Knight sighed. "Master Mage, Master Gnome, could one of you please ask the owl if he knows why a Hinckwell cart was in this area?" -

Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
The Black Knight stepped forward, and spoke to the owl directly. "A Hinckwell cart? What sort of dealings do they have in this area?" -
If LEGO Universe were still online, a Chima world would almost certainly have been a huge success. Six tribes - three good, three evil - fighting each other over the uber-powerful Chi Imagination Orbs, the Maelstrom trying to corrupt Mount Cavora/Planet Shard Cavora... The adaptation writes itself.

That's why Lind said "comparable" instead of "same". If he treated it on the same level as he would a first-born child, then...well, he probably shouldn't have kids. But, if he's treating with a comparable level of care, that's a whole different story.
-
Interesting - the section of ship wall is made to be knocked over by the cannon.

The Black Knight looked at him coldly. "What do I know about armies? I know that no army ever could preserve peace - and rare is it that an army can make it. I am here because peace is kept not by the many, but by the one standing alone with the knowledge to keep it. A secret is our peace, and our peace is a secret." -

The Black Knight acknowledged the gnome's arrival on the scene. "I must express my joy at being ranked under such stalwart leadership thus far, Party Leader. There are very few things as inspiring to an army as a leader that leads from the rear." The Black Knight bowed. "I will treat this shield with a comparable level of care as to that which I would extend to a first-born child." He calmly slid the Tunic over his head and coiled the Whip at his side*. *And equipped the Tricorne. -

The Black Knight stepped closer, and spoke softly, without emotion. "The circumstances in the description of this particular quest are of especial interest. In the event that this owl may be able to share some information before we pass the threshold of no return, we are questioning him. As the terrain around here is rather barren, and ripe for a potential ambush, shall we repeat the previous trade we made in the fields, you equipping my Medal of Glory, while I equip your Tricorn, Chaotic Whip, and Elven Tunic, with the addition this time of the Crescent Shield?" After having made this request, the Black Knight turned to the mage. "Try asking him if he's seen anything...strange, around this mountain. If there was anything to see, it might have been spaced at intervals of fourteen days. Odd lights, strange...birds, people - anything out of the usual."
