I doubt this, but is it Gladiator?

How did I get Arthur's name confused with Arnold...
-
I did - I was still posting when it was posted. Well, that is definitely a positive. Marauder/Vindicator, here I may someday come!

#125 set the standards for former Dragoons - you may role-play your dragon, but you cannot use any traits that Dragoons had. The trait Pet Dragon grants level 30-39 heroes the benefit of 0/0 mistrust. You’re about to turn level 50, which has 1/2 mistrust. Now, I could be wrong on this, but if Arnold wasn’t allowed to carry forward the benefits of his former Pet Dragon trait, I’m not sure you are allowed to carry forward yours - the more so since Arnold was only trying to get Miriam to look into a window, which is a much smaller effect than the effect of a 0/0 mistrust modifier… But, it's Sandy's ruling, though. I personally would support the trust being carried forward - I really like the looks of Vindicator, but I'm afraid to train it because, according to the rules, I wouldn't have enough trust with my Dragon.

True, but I'm not sure how that's a good thing, seeing as how you're going to be facing a 1/2 chance of disobedience.

Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
The Black Knight continued to intimidatingly speak to the Other Grunt A, as he repeatedly lashed away with the whip. "Can you hear that? Can you hear those low moans? They are the voices of those before you, who dared to venture where they ought not." His voice deepened, until the whisper of it could barely be heard above the sounds of battle. "Prepare yourself to be with them." -
In my opinion, the older grays are better colored for stones, the new grays are better colored for machinery.

Are Alexis and Althior refusing to listen to Arthur because of RP?

And Pov-Ray doesn't seem to want to work. I guess it'll have to be brick-built landscapes and LDD screenshots, then. It could be worse, but still...
-
That really depressing moment when you've scratch-built an entire settlement in LDD, and you convert to .ldr only to find that the models won't load in Blender for some reason - and the only pre-built Eurobricks models that would work for your project aren't loading either. Time to try POV-RAY out, I guess...

Heroica RPG- Quest #122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Did the sheep start attacking when I wasn't looking? Because last time I checked, we were the only ones fighting. I'm just saying, it seems like a bit of an unnecessary modifier. Especially since y'all are bipedal too..." The Black Knight lashed at Other Grunt A again with the Chaotic Whip. -
Clever! Someone should suggest that to Commander Cold over on MOCpages...

If it's not 1180/1265/3068, then I'm not quite sure of any sets that match your description. This page lists all sets with the minifigure head I believe you're describing, but there aren't any other buggies. There's a chance it might be in this book,: but I have never seen inside it to be sure. (Although I am planning on buying a copy someday.) Is there any chance you could be thinking of the buggy in this set?

Ooh, tough question. I picked Spyrius, but I also like the Lady Robot. Too much Futurama, probably, but having her walking around a sci-fi city gives it a more...urban look. Yeah, too much Futurama. I really think you should add Squidtron, though, since he's canonically just as much a robot as the rest of the droids.

I'm a bit regretful I didn't look into them more. They had some of the least complimentary packaging I've ever seen, which caused me to miss that the sets were quite excellent, Take the Space Swarmer. On the box, it doesn't look like it'd be good for much more than completing the GS collection or for spare parts. Yet, in the plastic, it's one of my favorite Space sets and has one of the highest "swoosh" factors I've seen.

I've tried very hard to only have Lind refer to them in the general sense, not the specific. I. e., he knows they're alien, but he doesn't know much more than just basics about them in general. Just that they fly saucers, they can beam people up in their beams, and that they are bad news. That was kind of the original joke/intent, yes. It wasn't till post-#103 that I started to write an actual backstory for them. I get the sarcasm, but yes, that's been my intention all along. And, I'm going to take what you said as a piece of good advice, and change the subject. So, Danab's Apple. What stat boosts do we want all think that it's going to grant? I'm guessing that it's going to be mostly a significant health boost, since Sister of Danab is presumably going to be a healing class.
-
The ironic thing about that is that Lind is actually trying to protect that "canon". That's why he keeps insisting loudly that they're magical beings - he's trying to keep the rest of the party from believing the aliens when they say they're from the stars. I really, really want to go into more detail, but if I reveal part of it, then I have to reveal all of it, and the carefully written Munchkin backstory I've planned out would be wasted*.
-
After reading it all again, I'm pretty sure I'm going to tone down my referencing that bit of Lind's history. I was still very much the definition of a newbie, and kind of a hard-headed one at that. Unless I have a really good reason for bringing it up, I think I may just try to let it all slip away into the past.
-
I'm a little bit embarrassed to admit it, but I know what you mean. I'd dial it down immediately, but the problem is that #122 actually is personally significant to Lind, and he actually does have reasons for everything he's been doing/saying. Fortunately, since the battle(s?) has/have started, I can start toning it down, since everything I needed to RP has been RPed - there'll just be a couple quick bits at the end, and then I promise I'll tone it way down for a long, long time into the future.

Mechanically, yes, story-wise, it was Lind. Typed somewhere in a PM or in a post I can't find, Lind was the one who made the official final in-story(but not mechanical) blow... EDIT: And apparently I never made that post. I guess I was too busy trying to justify calling myself the Grey Foxer. It was interesting, though, to look back and see how much I've changed RP-wise only three quests later, only one of which has really had any RP. Time and experience...

Didn't Lind kill him back in #103?
-
EDIT, sorry. Better suited to Gen.

I'd second that. The quest plot seems simple enough that I'm guessing that Sandy's going to have a surprise twist somewhere that either gives the heroes some extremely good loot or something else extremely desirable. I have a feeling that I'm going to regret not signing up for it, but I haven't really displayed that Lind's "strong in faith," and unless there's some sort of unforeseen moment somewhere in #122, like a theological debate on aliens v. magical beings, any attempts to show him expressing faith would inevitably be a bit on the cheating side, playing-wise. Granted, it is "preferred," but there's a lot more heroes that have actually shown faith. Then again, if Throlar's thinking about signing for #130, everyone, even aliens, should have a chance to hear the good news of the Dodekube... I can't figure out if this is supposed to be a City of the Dead, or a city filled with pirate zombies... Either way, I like the look of it!

Well, we do have a reoccurring dragon that dragoons are supposed* to get their eggs from... But the problem with a reoccurring dragon villain is that they'd need to survive each quest. I suppose you could do it somehow, but it'd take some writing to make it work while still having a "pay-off" at the end each time... Or, you could just give the dragon a bunch of gold-and-loot-filled lairs. That'd work too. * *Whistles innocently*

I apologize I haven't gotten my quest to Sandy yet - I've just been really busy with life. It's a newbie-level quest for five or six different players, so there'll almost certainly be room for you on it.
