  1. Haha, it’s a rough time on S@H right now. I had the Monkie Kid White Dragon Bike in my bag & a couple of those Xtra polybags to push my points to just above the necessary number. Well, the set is out of stock...and I ended up buying a $70 set instead of the $45 I had planned on spending...
  2. Two years is a long enough time to make cookies legal. I thought, and still do, think the cookie smuggling is a fun addition to the set. I don’t act it out or anything, but having that story known & the features put into the set made the build a bit more enjoyable.
  3. Looks great. I like the paddy wagon best, it fits in with the other vehicles in the theme nicely. Interior details are good too, just like the official sets. Just enough there to give you a good sense of what’s going on.
  4. My thoughts pretty much. When I saw that first interior shot I thought warm & cozy. There is one thing we both can agree on that would make it better though. Bonus points for using those 1x1 pyramid pieces as design accents, I love those parts.
  5. Yes, yes, & yes. As to your last point, it’ll be interesting to see the reports of this year & their sales.
  6. 2600 gets you $20. 650 pts gets you $5, so you’re looking at $15 with some left over.
  7. I haven’t bothered with CMF’s at the LEGO store this year but I did see comments from others about some stores identifying the minifigs so they don’t have to be felt up so much. What about limits? My initial target is going to be the Modular & the PaB/BaM, but I may want to grab a few. The centaur & Warrior in particular I’m sure are going to grabbed fast.
  8. I desperately hope this is true. I really do want that set but damn if I can drop $150 right now.
  9. That’s a clever use of the Station & bus build. I like the hill you built for it
  10. That’s the downside I reckon to buying everything early. All I don’t have is the Hedwig & I’m not even sure I want that. That’s really the only downside to these X of Y theme to get the GWP. I suppose we could put off something to buy, but that seems like a dumb idea. I’m glad most GWP don’t involve specific theme buys.
  11. The Pug face is very similar to the Panda suit, but the Pug’s tongue is bigger. The more I look the more they’re growing on me. As long as I can find them at Walmart for the hopefully still $3.44 I’ll pick up most of them.
  12. Since we were able to pick 5 I went the Bookshop, two CNY sets, Diagon Alley & Cloud Jet.
  13. I’d say it’s both, leaning more towards the factory side of things. In late April, my first outing back in the wilds of Target they were low on everything LEGO. I did manage to find a good amount of CMF20, but then didn’t find any again for months. Then we saw boxes showing up with stickers that had the added US box needs, piece count &...something else, which means the Mexico factory was shut down for a time. So both stores(Walmart & Target) & S@H were low on items.
  14. Haha, I can see some LotR in there. I’m thinking of getting two of the HP centaur bodies/heads & just switching up the hairpieces.
  15. I would say no. They’re just weird when it comes to post offices it seems. The last one we got was the WV one over a decade ago I believe. We did get a mail plane....this year(last?), but that’s about it lately.
  16. Yes. $5 for a lot of reused hair pieces, especially super common ones like the violin kid, is ridiculous. If they’re going to charge this much, they all need to step it up in the parts department. Not necessarily new hair, but at least use rarer parts in these cases.
  17. Yes, S@H...guess I should’ve specified better. I haven’t seen a thing of HS in Target(minus Welcome to the Hidden Side) or Walmart in months, even Target’s site doesn’t have the last wave. They do have a wave one display box which I was tempted to ask about...
  18. I was somewhat surprised(and expecting) to see this theme wasn’t sale on this weekend. I figured they’d use this as an opportunity to sell it off. However, I’m happy they didn’t...since I bought Mystery Castle for full price earlier this month.
  19. Kids grow up so fast these days... Maybe dad took a solo camping trip this time? Needed some time away.
  20. A bit underwhelming for me. The only for sure one is the violin boy, female centaur & dog costume. I do like most of the others, but not really in a hurry to get, especially at $5. Love the hermit crab, but a new hair/beard mold should’ve been added...it’s the Diver all over again. I do like the beekeeper too, nice assortment of new parts. While I enjoy the costumed minifgs, in a series of 12, 3 is a bit much.
  21. This latest episode was the best of the season so far. So much excitement. And to a minor thing from last week that I’ll put in spoilers as well, just in case...
  22. While I wouldn’t have minded an older(30’s/40’s) police car, I’m perfectly fine without one, as I have plenty. I’m already planning in having the GCPD make a home of the station & they have a great car. That is Jack’s torso. Yes, the varied look of the set make it more appealing, not less. It makes for a more lively street. That’s exactly why I love DO & AS. They really broke up the monotony(in a sense) of one solid block of a building. I do think the exclusion of a police car is an interesting choice. Even if, like PC & DD, a car would’ve added to it. But unlike those two it’s very easy to get a police car. Not so much with a limo convertible for the premiere & definitely not a 50’s car for the Diner. But then the argument of Fire Brigade having a fire truck...we had plenty of options for a fire truck then as well. But not so much for a tow truck.
  23. I don’t plan on buying this, but watching the livestream really made it more impressive. For one, the box is gigantic. Seeing the set with a person behind it really gives a proper scale. But what really sold me was hearing the designer talk about it. You could really hear the passion he has for it.
  24. Maybe it’s so the cops can get a nice whiff of the crash donut smell rising up in the morning. I was wondering that as well... I have no idea. The others are easily identifiable. EDIT...it’s the Corner Garage. That could work. That name sounds better for what this building is. To me, a station feels bigger(maybe that’s a learned condition from seeing all the City police stations over the years...). I’m so excited to see the roomy empty roof. Looks like the perfect spot for the Batsignal! And I love the clue board with the red “string” connecting them. Question is...is it cookies or donuts? And are the cookie smugglers & donut thief in cahoots?!
