  1. Nowadays, it’s rare that I buy older stuff(have a hard enough time keeping up with current). Plus, I prefer buying new LEGO, so that’s another Mark against old, since it’s generally used. When I got back into LEGO in ‘07 I headed to eBay & bought all the old Ninja & most of the Forestmen sets.
  2. You can add me to the list. As i said in the other thread, this is an actual bug City set I’m really excited for. It’s such a different set than what we’re used to, the factory is great & something largely unseen in this theme.
  3. Which I most certainly did with the vast majority of my post. It’s the precedent though. They cancel one set, whether that be from perceived or actual whining, who’s to say any number of those other great sets coming out this year(or future years) won’t be the target? Jabba’s Palace is a great example of this. It vaguely resembled a mosque, so it “had” to go. Also, it makes those negative voices hold more weight & power than those who are for the set. I don’t get excited by City sets a lot these days, especially the bigger ones, but this one had me really excited. It’s a great looking building with a funny logo on top. As much as we see dynamite used throughout themes, I thought it was a fun idea. But now because I see it as a positive, my voice has effectively been silenced.
  4. Where on Earth did you hear they were planning to blow up the Capital? This is beyond stupid. Cut “raid” out of the name if that’s the problem... This is a great looking set that I was actually looking forward to a City set for once in a long time. But, a police helicopter chasing a jet ski, that’s okay. Police truck chasing a car & bike duo, that’s okay. Police boat chasing a sub, that’s okay. But going after criminals in a building is off limits theses days...sure. Who says they’re making explosives? The story could easily be that the factory is empty & abandoned & the crooks are holed up in there. Signage doesn’t always get removed from a building the moment they close down.
  5. You truly are a master at building mechs. Another fantastic model.
  6. I feel you’re overreacting a tad too much. The vast majority of their products are still completely brick based. Hidden Side was an amazing theme with great sets, builds, & minifigs. I own plenty & haven’t even thought about downloading the app. Super Mario is still very much brick built. A shame about the instructions, I hated that with Dimensions as well. LEGO has always been evolving. They added figures instead of using bricks. Then they went to minifigures. Then they made many, many different types of bricks & accessories. Then they added licensed themes. Then they added minidolls. Nothing wrong with that so long as their core product is still there. By & large it still is. I hate the app features, I don’t care what theme it is. People & kids are on their stupid phones enough as is. LEGO is a great get away from tech. But, it’s also the way the world is going, so you can’t fault them for experimenting.
  7. I would guess you comfortably have until the end of the year, at the earliest. They haven’t been out quite a year yet(May). It seems most themes get a year & a half to two year shelf life. This being exclusive to S@H may play differently though. A lot of the first wave was out of stock for quite some time, but are all in stock now. Warrior Mech was out for months late last year & finally came back in stock in January. I kept my eye on it & swooped on it as soon as it came in stock. It’s a fantastic set for sure.
  8. Some great new parts in that batch. The rocker lady’s hair & head are cool. Is the guy on the far rights pants exclusive? I can’t place them otherwise.
  9. To add to my earlier complaints about the pricing on Boun’s Boat($49.99 for 247 pieces), I got the new catalog today & good gravy what a bunch of whackadoodle pricing this theme has. Raya and the Sisu Dragon & Ariel’s Celebration Boat, both $29.99with the latter having 102 less pieces(216/114). Now, the Ariel set has a sizable boat hull, but that difference is insane. Likewise, we have Cinderella’s Royal Carriage at $39.99 has 237 pieces.
  10. Add me to the list as well. I don’t usually say this on MOC’s that I like, but this should definitely go to Ideas, it would easily be a day one purchase for me. This is fantastic. You expertly captured the weird gangly mechs from the show.
  11. 80020 White Dragon Horse Jet 40464 Chinatown(X2) two of each bulldogs & golden retriever from B&P My bunny minifigs needed a place to live, so I had to get my hands on the Carrot House.
  12. These are hilarious. And seeing as the Elf Clubhouse made the old buildable reindeer(which is where the 1x1’s came from) obsolete, those bricks can have new life with these great little guys.
  13. Animals show up from time to time. Back in Oct ‘19 BaM stations had exclusive dark grey cats. They’ve also had exclusive black terriers(Toto), black dachshund. Then they had CMF animals like the older tan bulldog.
  14. B&P order: 200 1x2 trans light blue tiles new magenta bike
  15. Fun topic! The set that surprised me that first popped into my head was 76078 Hulk vs. Red Hulk. I enjoyed the vehicles way more than I thought I would given the pictures of them. The Overwatch theme surprised me as well. I wasn’t familiar with the game but I love the sets. The minifgs are fantastic & the builds are enjoyable(the mechs are brilliant). Not sure on the negative side of this question...I’ll get back to you.
  16. Oh man, this is awesome! I’d love to own this. But now we need a life size Cap Shield.
  17. This is just fantastic! It was hard to tell it’s even LEGO. I saw it featured this morning on Instagram & I had to zoom in to see that it really was LEGO. Great job! I love it. You really nailed the game perfectly.
  18. Seeing as trains aren’t a bulk of LEGO’s sales, if they lose that to competitors, they’ll be fine. Especially now with this “adults welcome” campaign & expanding their image, they’re probably gaining a lot of new customers. Considering we’re also a small percentage of their sales & I’m not sure of the number of kids scouring the Internet for off brand train items. They did grow to be the #1 toy manufacturer in recent years...
  19. A tour bus maybe? It would be a different type of bus & would fit in the theme.
  20. I’ve gotten two of the four so far. I like them, but don’t love them. $30 is a bit too much in my opinion, but I enjoy what they are. The builds are nice and definitely usable. The minifgs are the standouts here, even the repeats. I know the crests are a bit of a touchy subject... Exactly. It’d be great if people would quit losing their mind over a few opinions.
  21. I love this, great job! It’s so simple, yet perfect.
  22. This is both fun & frustrating. It’s definitely tricky getting the perfect placement, but it’s so satisfying when you do. I like how the newsstand is crammed in between the buildings, yet I find it kinda strange at the same time... I see you love the surfboard doors so much, you made a cop car!
  23. Some great updates here, I’m happy to see them back! Towns always evolve over time, it goes with the territory & sacrifices have to be made. I am glad to see your little square has survived, it has great character. Nice idea making the dragon an animatronic to use in a parade. And of course, love the news crew! They’re always on point.
  24. Got another Moments set, 76382 Hogwarts Moments: Transfiguration Class
  25. If TLG doesn’t want the piece back, I’d frame that sucker. You’d be the proud owner of one of, if not the, rarest pieces ever.
