Ryan in real life the TGS doesn't have such a wide cabin, as you know the doors are more inboard than other trucks so that the wheel arches looks wider...what I did was to keep the cabin 17 studs, the wheel arches 18 studs (half stud each side) and the wheels 19 studs!! This was a complex goal to achieve as normally with stud less design we use odd numbers. The good thing is that at the end it resemble the real thing almost perfectly (according to the blueprints i've used!) Will probably build a blue one as well....or yellow! I have 22 of the new pneumatics V2

Sorry but I'm a purist and I only use lego parts, I respect Effe's effort but after all this is a lego forum.... I like the challenge, to print 3D parts it's not challenging and kills the fantasy.... Thanks Max!! I've been testing the crane and it needs a bigger compressor.....will probably make few small videos before a final one! Keep an eye on this post man!

The problem is the sections extend and the hoses need to follow...on such a scale it's hard to clean up..but as I said will be improved! Also I'm planning to remove the JIB at the end and double the length of the main 2 extendable sections...will see how it turns out at the end! Thanks, yes it's a bit bulky but you need to consider this crane in real life are huge and powerful, and to make similar thin gin Lego it's hard! Anyway I'm happy and glad if you like it!

Effie the crane looks amazing yes but when I'll take pics of it on the truck you'll be even more amazed! I'm planning to double the length of it as well.... Well today there is not much light...so you guys have to wait a bit for extra pics! the front axle it's so complex give the traction and the steering linkage....will show as soon as possible! it's not easy to route all those tubes! I did a good job but I know how to improve it...it's a matter of time! And as said the pics are not good...sorry...I'll wait when there is more light!

Hello, this is a WIP of my latest moc: a MAN TGS 8X8 leafspring suspended fully RC with autovalve compressor pump! Plus many other features and functions. It also features many attachments, like a Fassi F1950 XP crane fully RC using new pneumatic V2 system! It also has a dumping load bed, a front snow plow (this will be shown later on when completed! The idea is to use the cabin and chassis as a starting base to develop more mocs like the XXL version of the same truck, 3 axle, 4 axle, 5 axle. Functions: - 8X8 driver train driven by 1 L motor - Realistic steering system with levers (plus different angles between 1 and 2 axle) steered by an M motor - Pneumatic compressor with autovalve powered by an L motor - 2 IR receivers that controls the drive, steer, 1 pneumatic switches (in this case used for tipping the bed) and 1 more motor for extra function (in this case used to rotate the crane) More pics here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/TheItalianBrick/fassi-f1950-xp http://bricksafe.com/pages/TheItalianBrick/man-tgs-44.480-8x8 I'll progress I'll take more and better pics. Enjoy what I have so far! And this is the crane, it's also a WIP but so far I'm happy with the result!

Thanks Zblj! I was simply experimenting…you can see many other pics in my bricksafe folder. When the MOC is finished I'll take pics outside! -
Lol I'm not offended by anything at all. If you call some one random builder it sounds like you are downgrading him/her. Well look at the the model, there is the answer! And I'm enjoying this model right now because it's well done and looks good! So basically I need to be a truck driver if I want to design a truck? tell me this is a joke please…. Anyway let's stop it here, I apologize for the off topic!

Listen, when I started 25 years ago I was the same, but trying hard and trying 10000 times I've got to a point where YES I do have enough skills to design a full suspended frame all wheel drive and much more than this! You are missing a point to me, it's not a challenge between us here, it's more like "hey we are a big family and we want to help each other", but in order to help each other you need to show something so we can give and receive advices on! Often Dafgek asks for instructions….I mean I couldn't enjoy Lego if I was only building from instructions…..just go and build something!!

Hey D3K relax ok? It's a saying..it means, related to the fact we are on a forum, some people may have more posts of fame than others, not necessary more or better skills! and this is a statement nowadays as we live with internet! You are the one who is misunderstanding! I'm not calling M-Longer a douche. He has obviously experience but he did define that guy "random builder" (guess is because he also has 4 posts!!) One thing is to know these machines in real life, on thing is to call someone random builder! Also stop using the word attack with me, I'm not attacking anyone! Google the word "rude" and will see the meaning... Now back on the post...

Let's say, when it comes to chassis it's always a matter of beams, pins, axle….so I'm pretty sure everybody on here has a lot of spare ones! What I don't get is why do you always ask for instructions….I mean LEGO is all about being creative….so build up the Arocs cabin and then try to build your own chassis for it….no expectations…just have fun while doing it…and if doesn't work try again in a different way!
-
How rude! Basically you are saying that who has more posts on here, who has more youtube views, then it's a better builder than those who have not! Remember this saying: Internet empowers the douche! Back on topic: great choice for the contest! looks clean so far, I do agree on the steering system being slow, but somehow the mini LA looks better than any other HOG steering! Can't wait for the bucket and the final model too!

Siegfried your cab looks good but it's a bit "flat" around the corners...I think to round them a bit more would help a lot! On the side view you may want to fold the pillar/beam a bit more....so the from part of the roof starts 1 or 2 studs backwards. Also the black front wheelarches could be 2 studs thick.....at the moment they are only 1 stud thick..the same as the 42043....but since your's it's a bigger scale model then you should give it more "presence"...

Funny how my position on fake-chinese- 3Dprinted parts has always been the same and quite clear! I do not accept them at all! Also, I don't get what you mean simply because I'm sure there are a lot of people like me that didn't/doesn't know about Decool, so I was just posting it here and then we can take it from there. A "useful answer" can be something about the product itself, not a comment like "here is not FONG KONG" !! I don't want people to understand me, I was happy to see there is someone else on my same page! SImple as this! To say " everybody doesn't agree with fake copies" or "of course we are all upset with it" it's not an opinion simply because you can't speak on behalf someone else. My reaction? No hard feelings at all...again I'm showing something, then people comments, and we go on.
-
well it's a topic; a topic means other questions can be raised, and so on. I've just noticed this company/product new to me and here I'm! Also, what about all these people posting and using 3D parts, 3rd parts, NON-LEGO parts?? Isn't the same? Then basically should be banned from this forum isn't it? Some people could agree with buying fake sets, some may not. Some people may say that lego monopolise this "closed" market, where isntead should be more open so it could offer similar products. It's like a water supply, if there was only one company then they could rise the price as up as they want! maybe there is a company out there able to give a better quality product for less money as LEGO won't be the only one! It's not all about the price. So let's talk about our thoughts mr nerd! But looks like you know better...
-
Oh finally someone understands what I meant to say with this post!!! Great Max, it's good to inform people so they can keep the "spoilt" away....
-
The opinion I'm looking for aren't about the model itself. They are about what people think of a company that copies another one! What's our thoughs about it? Does it upset us? Are we ok with it? Please only uselful answers...
-
Does anyone know about this chinese copy of LEGO models? It's called Decool and they are cheap copies of the our beloved LEGO models!! They sell the Ferrari 599GTB for $54 and apparently looks exactly the same! I'm not sure if I can put any link on here (it's a chinese shop) but just goodle it! What you guys think?
-
There is something fundamentally wrong in your reviews sariel, at the beginnin of each video you mention "I don't know how can you get one" referring to the fact you got it earlier for review, well this is missleading! Sounds like other people won't be able to buy this set, where instead you should simply say "available from 1st or X december/genuary at major retails/LEGO shops..."

You're welcome! I'm not a huge fan of stickers, for 2 reasons: I do re-use all the parts normally...and also I believe a model should look great even without stickers, then obviously they can be a plus, but only afterwords! Anyway I'm enjoying the reviews as usual, and those pics   Thanks for making them Jim!!
