LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

I agree. I probably wont get it if it's much more. Also, any interior would be nice. Just something simple in between the technic. -

Yeah, I agree. The level of detail in the entire book is very inconsistent. They use different version if pretty much every character. If this is a hint, maybe they're trying to keep it low by using a very basic fig. It looks like they had to make a new/custom print on his torso, however, since the original had yellow skin. -
What is Your Favorite Lego Star Wars Year?
GuyDudeMan27 replied to JackJonespaw's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Personally, 2006-2009 are my favorite Lego Star Wars years. I love all of the sets (minus the clone wars stuff) and their designs, and the figs are nice too. This was the time when I really started getting into Lego Star Wars, so naturally they're my favorite. -

Actually, the tie crawler wasn't made up by Lego. It's just an obscure vehicle. -

Sure. I put them on my flickr. There are a few other things I didn't mention there as well. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/126526028@N08/15086457606/ -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

^The yoda chronicle stuff is very intriguing. In the scene with boga, it looks like the people standing next to utapau guy are more of his kind, not Cody. In the new dark side book, there are few brick built scenes that are very interesting. They have Yoda vs palpatine in the senate building fighting on top of his podium. Could that be a hint at a new set? They also have multiple scenes from cloud city, including the carbon freezing room (more specifically the stairs) and the little area where Luke jumps away from Vader. The builds are actually really nice quality, so could that be a hint? I don't think they would waste time designing these areas just for a book. Maybe cloud city could be an exclusive? -
Awesome job! All of the snot and angled plates are awesome! This thing looks so perfect! How big is it compared to an X-Wing?

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

I don't think it was a placeholder. We've gotten basic warriors recently, so wouldn't they put one of those in if it was going to be in the final? It is a little disappointing, but it's only a $25 set, so the minifigs won't be in large quantities or too interesting. -
Hey Guys! I've been working on this guy for a little while and I'm ready to show my progress. So, here we go! All pics are on my flickr album. Enjoy! WIP Imperial Shuttle by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr I haven't done too much, but enough to justify another update. Mostly, I've just done stability updates. Now, the cockpit won't fall apart and the top fin should stay on. I've also added another layer on the bottom on the fin. You can also catch a glimpse of the landing gear, but we'll get to that soon enough... Shuttle Side View by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Here is a side shot of the shuttle. You can see the turret on the back and the bottom of the fin. Not much else here. Shuttle Back View by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Here's the back shot. I haven't put in engines yet, but they'll be going in soon. There's no door, since I decided to make the whole thing more like a play set opening up. Also, you can see more glimpses of the landing gear. I think I'll made you wait till the end to see them... Shuttle Interior by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Here is said playset interior. the slopes come off all together, and the top is held on by a few studs and rests on the slopes when its on. Once every thing is off, the interior holds 8 passengers, and 6 blaster holders. You can also see how the slopes are "attached" to the base plates. It's elaborated better in the next pic. Shuttle Inner Connection by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Here's the "attachment" of the slopes and so forth. Basically, the top fin rests on the slopes, which are connected to the snotted bricks and in turn the floor. Because of the snotted bricks, it doesn't snap onto a stud, but it rests on 8 1x2 columns, which are also the blaster racks. Barrel rolls aren't recommended for this MOC! I was considering ditching the snotted bricks for a more sturdy connection, but it looks so nice! This part definitely needs the most improvement. If and when I do build this I'll try to find a better connection. Shuttle Landing Gear by GuyDudeMan27, on Flickr Lastly, here's the long waited landing gear! Yes, I'm aware that there should only be two feet, but the third is for stability. I went more for looks that accuracy, but I'm sure it'll do. This is it for now, so any feedback and suggestions are welcome!

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I imagine it will be kind of like the full size version we got. The pilot will most likely be where the "eyes" are. I admit it will look weird like that, but the microfighters line is more about the general shape, not superb accuracy. -
Awesome job! I agree that the original isn't very good. Your version captures all the best parts of the speeders we've gotten before. Also, would you mind adding the LFX for this? I'm sure a Mod could help you if you need it.

Just picked up the darkside book with the emperor and the microfighter Tie interceptor from B&N today. I love the Emperor's new skin and robes, and the pilot is pure perfection.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
GuyDudeMan27 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah it would. I made a version like that in LDD and cross checked it to a movie shot. There are some bricks not available, like the grill plate and brick, but those can easily be replaced. -
Wow. All I have to say is wow. You produce this stuff so quickly! I wish I had the time and skill to do stuff like this! Good job, and keep up the good work!
-
Awesome job! Are you going to add a second row and the wall controls?
-
Awesome job! The one gripe I have is that the back uses parts from the normal A-Wing, which makes it a little big. Good job anyways!
-
I made it myself, that's why!
-
I put the LFX in the first paragraph. I would love to build it IRL, but I'm not sure about stability. That and I'm tight on parts. I'm currently trying to build Cornwaille's TIE interceptor, so all my Tie-ish pieces are going towards that.

Awesome job! I love all of those printed pieces! They make the whole thing look more detailed. Speaking of detailed, I love the greebling as well! Fantastic job on making such a huge ship! -
Hey guys! Today I have my latest MOC, the TIE Emancipator. I made this guy when I was experimenting with some tie fighter designs. The wings are a mix of the Tie defender and Darth Vader's Tie. I took a lot of inspiration from Cornwaille's amazing Tie designs, but there are some changes I want to make to make it more in line with 9492. I've finally managed to make renders without making tons of changes. I've also made up a little story to go along with this guy. Lastly, here is the LFX file: New Tie 2.lxf All pics are on my Flickr. Enjoy! The TIE Emancipator was a TIE variant developed shortly after the Battle of Endor, originally intended as as a successor to the TIE Defender, but evolved into it's own fighter. The TIE Emancipator was a heavy fighter / assault craft, boasting 2 light guns, 4 medium guns, 2 heavy cannons, and 2 concussion or proton missile launchers. It could also be outfitted to carry proton torpedoes and proton bombs, depending on the mission. The Emancipator carried heavy shields, but no hyperdrive, since it was intended to work in atmosphere or around capital ships if needed. The Emancipator had the same engines as the TIE Interceptor, but heavily modified to match the speed the TIE Interceptor could output. The Emancipator saw great success as a ground attacker, being able to rip apart rebel bases with ease. As a fighter, it also saw success, but not as great as the other fighters in the Empire's arsenal. It did better at a capitol ship attacker than a dedicated fighter. Although it's success, they're were only a few thousand ever created, joining the group of Imperial fighters that were too few, to late. Sorry for the huge story guys, now onto the fighter itself! Thanks! Any comments are welcome, so say what you like about this guy!

Awesome review! I agree that that it is grossly overpriced. I have a $25 gift card for B&N, so I'm waiting to get it there for $5. Then I will be truly happy. I was going to buy this set full price and do a review, but I was beat to it. I'm watching you....

Hi guys! I know I'm a little late to this party, but I was wondering in anyone could provide me with the LDD file for some of these? I'm mainly looking for the Tie interceptor, but any others would also be cool. Cornwaille hasn't been on for nearly a year so I don't think there's any chance of that. I tried brickshelf but I cant get in right now... Thanks for any help!

It's great that you have an opinion, but that doesn't mean that you have to shove it down everyone else's throats. Opinions can't be wrong, so proclaiming that the very first, 10+ year old version is best and shunning the other versions isn't the best course of action. Really what this topic boils down to is that everyone likes different things. Some people like certain era's of lego, and some jump on the newest ones. (Personally, 2006 and 2007 lego melts my heart) I think many can agree that TLG's X-Wings may never be perfect, but any improvements are good. I would love to see it in really light grey, but that probably will never happen.
-
I love that Falcon! Much better than the TLG versions. That hanger could also be a cool place for an Imperial shuttle and some stormies like in episode VI. Great job!

I built the death star without numbered bags It was horrible. I also am looking for a good priced executor, and there are a few around that 500 dollar budget. This set does look truly amazing and I wish I had my own. Until then I can wish for a system scale version.
