  1. Valid point. I'm never really up to date with when things are retired. I never realized how old that set is getting. On topic however, I just got another airbone trooper battlepack to round out a better 212th.
  2. I beg to differ. I have tons of chewies, though I have no clue how I picked them up. The new one is a huge improvement, and looks amazing, and as for the gunship itself, it looks okay. You can get 3-PO in droid escape, which is an awesome set by the way, and some others, as I have like 5, without the sandcrawler or Ewok village.
  3. 6 years old and still better than the 2014 version
  4. I agree, although we did get the Old Republic sets, so there might be a shred of hope. TLG should definitely branch out and do other things like this though. Maybe we could get some in polybags or other means of exclusive figs.
  5. Quick question, when are the 2015 winter sets going to be revealed? When were they revealed last year? I'm holding out for a TIE interceptor and Imperial shuttle in that wave.
  6. It still looks like the main rack only holds 6. Now we can clearly see that it is floorless, so no droids there.
  7. The whole thing is that they made new robes and everything for him, in a classic yellow faced style. I think it's awesome because it mixes full body printing and an old school head. He's just a cool little throwback. He and the other two figs you mentioned are sitting next to each other on minifig plates in my room
  8. Thanks. That's a really interesting image! The slave one doesn't look too good though. It looks very blocky.
  9. What prototype?? The wip that was shared earlier? Or am I just really behind. A UCS slave one would be cool, and I know they can do it at TLG.
  10. Quick question, but what is the best way to store my Star Wars sets? Some of my parts have yellowed a bit and I want to keep it down. Most of my sets are in a dark room in my basement, with a mostly closed door. Is there anything better?
  11. I think it's just to spice it up, kinda like luke has his lightsaber and 3-PO is all suited up.
  12. They aren't getting deleted, they are just getting merged with this topic. Most of your posts have been questions, which are supposed to go here in the first place
  13. Brick link is your best option. You can choose what parts you need and the figs and buy them from sellers that carry them. They also have sets if you ever need that.
  14. Awesome build! It's amazing how you managed to capture all the smooth edges so perfectly. My only gripe is the cockpit. The cockpit is alright, but it looks a bit fat. I would suggest thinning it out in the front, and sealing it off. A more conventional design would be more of a benefit in this case.
  15. You should be still able to position the legs, but they are kinda stiff. They are also stuck to the body, but it shouldn't matter too much.
  16. After some more work, I've managed to get the cockpit to as close to reference as I wanted. A minifig can fit in the cockpit, and everything has been secured and tidied up. Any suggestions on what to improve are appreciated. Here is the latest LFX, which includes some of the other mods I've done to the shuttle. New Shuttle Cockpit.lxf The newest cockpit. I've added some greebling to the top to match some reference. I've also added some 1x1 flat tiles to make it look like the greebling is contained. Here is the cockpit opened up. In real life, the sides would also come off with the rest of the cockpit, but I left it in so you can see how cramped it is. Also, the minifig has a 1x2 plate on the bottom of it's legs, so that it would fit. It might fit without, but LDD in quite finicky with minifigs. And lastly, here is the underside. I've put on a simple floor, and put 1x3 inverted slopes on the front to make it look nice. I've also added grill plates on the front, again to match reference. I was toying with the idea of a landing ramp, but I haven't found a solution just yet. One downside to the way I built the cockpit is that it doesn't look all that pretty from the side. You can see the floor, and it doesn't follow the angles the slopes make. I haven't come up with a solution for this, and I doubt there even is one. Any help?
  17. No problem! I have managed to fit a fig inside. I'll take pics as soon as I get home.
  18. Well, brick link is your best bet as far as websites go. You can find the individual minifigs and buy them from sellers that the site provides. You can also buy individual parts, and whole sets. You may be able to get all three figs from one seller. Happy hunting!
  19. The problem is that the whole thing isn't very deep. Only 2 bricks. A figure leaning back may fit, but it would look quite sloppy. It would also be weaved in there between some other bricks. I'll take some updated shots after I finish some more work on it.
  20. Here is a shot comparing the modded head and the original. You can also spot some differences in the body if you look close enough. Also, I updated the LFX with all the new changes. It's in the same place
  21. Sure. No it won't be a problem :)
  22. Same. I can't wait for these sets. Just dying for the star destroyer
  23. Recently I've been working on modding a 7166-1 Imperial shuttle, and I decided that I should make a new cockpit. The current one is a little unfaithful, so I took a crack at it. The cockpit should be quite small and thin, which I tried to encompass in my new cockpit. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. If anyone wants, here is the current LFX file:Imperial shuttle mods 2.lxf One problem is there will probably not be room for any figs, but it would look better. The underside. Still no floor.
  24. Looks amazing! Shouldn't the missiles be purple/pink though?
  25. I went out to spend $120 and got 75036 utapau troopers, 75038 Jedi Intercepter, 75041 Vulture Droid, and 75042 Droid Gunship. Now I really need grevious's wheel bike and the ATAP.
