No your fine. I was just looking at chibi boba fett and thought this was the same thing.

Awesome take in the cantina! It has the perfect 'classic' feel to it! Nice job.
-
If this set were to be remade in some capacity, it would probably be super similar to the old one, which I would be fine with. Maybe some updating here or there, and probably no interior, unless something crazy happened and the average price per piece went down to something like 5 or 6 cents. Besides, the target audience for this set would be AFOLs who would probably put it on a shelf and gawk at it, not kids who would want play features. A remake would be cool regardless, to see how TLG could improve on an already masterful set.

Oh I get it! Its just a head bust. Those are shoulders. I'm dumb. But seriously, awesome job! He looks very ominous.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
instead of a new print, they shamelessly reused the falcon microfighter cockpit piece on basically a Ghost microfighter as an "exclusive" set for $40. Total money grab. I bet some suckers will buy them dry. -
That's Flail's Y-WIng right? It looks awesome! As do the A-wings. Are there Instructions for them? I'm adding Your B-wing and Mike Psiaki's X-Wing to my rebel forces, and I want those too! Keep up the good work!

I agree, but that's how they keep it exclusive. Personally, I don't really like these comic con sets. Their kinda ugly and too chibi. -

Me too. When will stores like target and such get these sets in? the nearest lego store is a good 30 minutes away... -
Cool build! I'm struggling to make out hands and fingers though...

I would be happy with essentially a rerelease, but with an interior. There are some great mods they could incorporate. I also missed out on the last one, so an improved version would be awesome!

After seeing the master piece that is Mike Psiaki's X-Wing and Scottish Dave's B-Wing V 1.2, I was wondering what the best versions of the Y-Wing and A-Wing are. I like the most recent TLG versions, but are any MOCs better? After all, the rebels need the best they can get! -
We already have a pretty good wedge helmet, and Biggs is very similar to gold leaders. The faces are also very easy. Just add a mustache and maybe some hair or new smile. Really, no excuse.
-
I want to see an updated Wedge and Biggs in their pilot gear. We have Luke and Jek, so why not round out the collection? I would like to see them in a proper set rather than poly bags. Maybe a rebel hanger playset with a B-Wing in alternate colors. (And hopefully with some well needed fixes)

That's a good plan. Plus, you can make some mods if you so wish. If you can save a few bucks, why not? -
I'm working on supporting the roof, while leaving enough space for some figs and equipment. I plan on building it eventually, assuming TLG doesn't make (a good) one.

Last night after I got the LFX for the mini-fig stand, I went to work modifying it how I thought a stand should look. There is the same amount of room, same height, just at a more consistent angle, and with less torches. I've also given it a big clear plated window, just for fun. -
Hey scoonix, unfortunately the link doesn't work, as in you click on it and it opens the page. I've tried copy pasting the link, but I get an error message. What you need to do is place your cursor where you want the link, then hit a little button at the top of the editor that looks like a little link and a plus. Then, copy paste your link in the box and your good to go!

Originally I had a huge stack of bricks holding it up, but it took up the whole interior. I'm planning on reinforcing the whole thing, as there is no way it would stay together IRL

Thats another thing I need to work on. It kinda rests on the slope bricks, but who knows IRL.

[MOC] Minifig-scale B-Wing (with instructions and LDD)
GuyDudeMan27 replied to krispy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice Job! It almost looks like it could be Ralph McQurrie concept art or a prototype. I'm interested to see how that freebuild plays out!- 125 replies

A little while back, I was working on modding 7166-1 in LDD, which led me to build a new cockpit, which I posted here. Since then, I decided I should make a new body for the shuttle, as the original started to look bad with the new cockpit on it. The project as a whole is a little further along than in the pictures, with custom wings already built, but I thought that some input would be helpful. A few shortcomings that I have encountered so far are that there will likely be no room for any figs, which is a let down. A prime example of why I decided to post here. besides that, the whole building style is very odd, and may not hold up in real life, as there is no physics in LDD. At this point in the build, I'm kinda stuck. Studying the build will be my main priority for now. Until then, here are the pictures! I would add the LDD file, but it is too big for this sites uploader. Any help on that? Front view, showing off the cockpit and the body. The wings aren't attached for now, but will be soon. 3/4 shot, showing off the rest of the body. The top fin area comes straight off the TLG version, but could change in the future. Lastly, the back. I haven't decided what to do about it yet, as I'm not sure of the playability of the model. I may end up adding a door, or just sealing it off. Any C&C welcome, as well as suggestions on how to improve the model.

Awesome job! It looks very star wars. Personally though, I would remove the torches to keep the star wars look. As for the dark bley floor, something cool could be done with some tiles to make it look more sci-fi, like a hanger floor or something. Also, a back wouldn't hurt. A cool idea would be to make the whole thing at more of an angle, and add a huge hinged window of clear pieces, just for fun. Most of my figs are in bins specifically for figs, so I might need to build one of these. Lastly, you should consider adding the LDD file to the post. If you don't, I would like it if possible. -
These are technically movie sets. They both appeared briefly in episode III. There's a lot of those, blink and you miss it moments in episode III.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm not sure about that. It is about the same size as both of those sets. If you look, you can see pre vizlas starfighter in some form, so it can't be too old.
