I wouldn't mind seeing a modular with a base color of Dark Blue, Dark Green or Dark Red (all colors that aren't easy to amass in quantity for building structures out of)

Wanted: Geoffrey the giraffe 40077 polybag from UK TRU
jonwil replied to Legogal's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The 8 x 8 round tile part in green isn't common, its exclusive to the Geoffrey set. -
For some reason (after reading the names on the boxes) it makes me think of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and similar shows. Anyone else notice the new part on the feet of the red guy" Looks like a tile with a bit sticking out (its not possible to tell from the picture if its a 1 x 1 or 1 x 2 part though) Also, it looks like the ball joints are the same as the current tow-ball parts (I can see the 2 x 2 plate with tow-ball and the technic pin with ball as well as what appears to be a 1 x 2 plate with a tow-ball and a socket and some other socketed pieces)

Probably the Mixels stuff everyone is talking about in the Mixels thread.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion

I think the Bavarian would have been better with an axe like what the Viking, Minotaur and Evil Dwarf had. Or maybe the big hammer piece from Thor and Monster Fighters. Or even just a larger sword than the tiny ones he ended up with. -

And the Mechanic figure would be a great start for one of the other characters on Happy Days (I forget which one though) -

What about the Collectable Minifigures Snowboard piece. That would be the best possible option with the right color/printing/sticker.- 207 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
jonwil replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
All I can say is YES YES YES. I WILL be buying multiples of that Jazz Musician with the Saxophone (which is now on my list of the coolest minifig accessories of all time) And the sunglasses head and suit jacket torso are great too. Will buy 2 of the Welder, 2 of the scientist, 1 waitress, 1 mountain climber and 1 grandma. Probably 1 of the British cop (I cant see having a use for more than one and its just not as cool as the previous cop with the badge tile and cop hat) This is looking like the series I will be buying the least from compared to other series (not that that's a bad thing when I have to save the pennies for the BTTF set, Octan race truck, City Cargo sets and more :) Looking at the figs though I can see the guy with the mask being a very popular army builder with Pirate fans as a way to expand their Islanders collection. And I can see the Waitress is a great representation of the stereotypical Waitress you see in all the TV and movies anytime you see one of those old drive-in restaurants where the waitresses bring the food out to your car. New molds this time are the Scarecrow hat, German girl hair (not sure 100% if its new or not, cant tell from the picture), Islander mask, gingerbread man head, Elf hat/ears, Yeti head, Mountain Climber rope, Welder mask/welding torch, Saxophone, Waitress hair, Grandma hair and cat plus the British cop hat and truncheon. -

Yeah WTF, LEGO sets are usually more expensive in NZ than in Oz (if you convert the $34.99US price into $A and $NZ the $NZ figure is a fair bit higher than the $A figure)- 207 replies

Regarding the hoverboard, I think the problem is that (due to the Mattel logo used on the board in the film) Mattel owns some rights in the product and therefore LEGO cant make it.- 207 replies

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine

I just LOVE this set and will definatly be buying one. Even if you dont like the design, the printed parts, figs and general parts selection make it well worth buying as a starting point for your own design. Anyone who wants to see other BTTF sets in the future (such as the train) should definatly buy this one as sales of this one will likely have an influence on the "go/no go" decision for any future BTTF Cuusoo sets (either those that reach 10k or if LEGO decides to do what they did with the Minecraft stuff and release further BTTF sets anyway)- 207 replies

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
jonwil replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Now that I have seen even more pictures of this, it remains on my "must buy as soon as its available to Australia" list. The only movie car that would be a cooler LEGO set would be the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (and with several of them on Cuusoo right now I am sure at least one of them can get to 10k and be considered for production by LEGO) -
Great to see the 1 x 8 x 2 arches in dark blue make a comeback. Now if only LEGO would make the dark blue 1 x 2 inverted slope easier to get :)

For those who are interested, MYER Perth CBD still has plenty of stock of everything except the VW (including plenty of Expresses, Jousts, Creator sets, Mini Modulars and Camels). Target Perth CBD had the Hobbit Spiders set and plenty of the Goblin King set. Didn't see any of the other sets (Wargs, Bag End) though. No Arhkam sets left either. -
I can say for sure there will not be anything that specifically relates to alcohol, LEGO has said in the past they dont put alcohol in a modern context in their sets (hence why things like the inn in the Medieval Market Village was ok) I doubt they would include a wine cellar or a bar area for that reason. But it might include bottles and glasses (like in the CMF Waiter and other sets, they can come up with a non-alcoholic explanation for those) Either way, the idea sounds cool and if the parts selection and colors are right, it might make it the first modular worth buying for me since the Grand Emporium.

I for one hope the Jazz Musician has a Sax, the Sax is one of my favorite instruments (next to the Bagpipes which we already got) -

Not bad although the color is wrong, IBM has a blue logo not a black logo :) -

Now I just need to find someone else locally in Perth willing to spit an order with me so I can pick up the BTTF DeLorien set when it gets released (if it costs enough on its own to get the free postage, its not going to be worth buying :) -

August with the rest of the SW sets I would imagine. Also, its good that the new City sets aren't out for a while, my wallet needs a chance to recover from the beating it just took (Haunted House, Town Square, Family Home) -

This has now gone from "meh" to "WOW" and "Must have", especially if the lowish price (which matches the Minecraft set) translates into other currencies and the $A price is reasonable. If you look at the picture of the overall car you can clearly see the Y shape of a printed (or stickered) part for the Flux Capacitor too To get a copy of the second-greatest movie car of all time (second only to the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 in coolness IMO) that not only has Doc AND Marty but a hoverboard as well is awesome. Even better that it can be built into all the various movie variants of the machine.
