  1. Like I said of the preview you showed me: this is awesome and highly organized. Really inspiring too. Begs to be emulated or at least used as a template.
  2. I think it should be pointed out that this looks like a Mod of the Warg Ambush set from The Hobbit. Correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure if Mods should count for MOCs as we don't see them very often. I do personally feel like MOCs are what GoH should be about. That said, it's a nice looking Mod. My C&C would be to develop your photography methods and that the base is a bit out of whack with the girth of the build as it gains height.
  3. Great work with the SNOT rocks. Really nicely shows what you were doing with the tutorial and examples of layered sedimentary rock.
  4. Great idea for a sequenced build. Everything is nice here except the base. The blocky, studs-up only texture distracts from how good the rest is.
  5. Thanks for the tutorial, Kabel! I've done a little bit of this in my MOCs. Sometimes it looks kind of awkward but I really like the examples. ME is kind of SNOTrock master and I like his way of mixing studs-up and SNOT. Can you give an example for this?
  6. Ah the soul stirs for the mighty rocky peaks of Mitgardia.
  7. Nice work. The mastiff makes me think about Dragon Age Origins which is awesome. I miss that game. Can we get a closer shot/elaboration of what you did with Siedna's leg area? Just curious if what I think I'm seeing, in terms of parts, is what I'm actually seeing. :P And oh man. First time I ever heard of the Golden Ratio was a movie called Pi. My wife will reference it every so often when she's doing art.
  8. Great work here. This thing is huge. I do see a few overly blocky green plates that interfere with the overall nice flow of the foliage, but it may be unavoidable in a build this size depending on pieces available.
  9. That would be excellent.
  10. I hear you, Z.
  11. Behemoth, this "stupid situation" is one you created by not taking other people seriously. You've only ever worked on or talked about your ideas. It seems the closest you're interested in getting to working with others is to take their ideas and do whatever you want with them like you did to SarahJoy. I've tried to help you with advice and feedback but like Z says, you have a listening problem. I don't appreciate being passive-aggressively accused of "bagging on you" and I'm sure no one else who has criticized your selfish behavior on GoH and elsewhere does either. Now you're having another tantrum because you don't like that people are resisting your attempts to make everything about you. GoH is not "The Behemoth Show". If you can't wrap your head around that, I don't think you're going to work out here.
  12. Ooo, that's a really nice set of images to show off how best to use SNOT rocks, Kabel!
  13. Nice cemetary and interesting take on the AoM. I do think a little more color here and there would have been okay, but maybe it would also have detracted from the atmosphere of the build. As always, great story.
  14. Gorgeous. I love that tree and I think it may be pretty unique among Lego trees I've seen so kudos! I echo everybody else's comments about the curved walls and landscaping. You should throw some 'figs in there but I can see why you wouldn't. Great idea and write-up for the build too.
  15. This may be getting tiresome now but GREAT building, groundwork needs improvement. :P
  16. Beautiful gatehouse. Would love to see close-ups!
  17. Nice build! It really looks like a cellar wine storage area.
  18. I like this building, like the other ones, but again your groundwork feels like an afterthought. It sticks out of such a nice build as being too blocky and geometric with the color shift. I can see where you used angled tiles to break things up inside the pig pen, but you should use those techniques everywhere!
  19. Great buildings but the groundwork is a bit undercooked, especially in that last picture. Are those tan blocks in the box supposed to be hay? I would maybe use a yellow and possibly some smooth tiles... in fact, you've given me an idea!
  20. No offense but what gave you the impression this was a thread about critiquing the game? Let's stick to the Lego.
  21. Cool moc. I think lever bases look super weird as breasts though haha.
  22. That makes sense, Brickdoctor.
  23. Doesn't that seem a bit circular to you? I mean, last time anyone tried to get a Scifi one going, Bob said he was working on it and basically took over the whole process of creating the parameters of the group build. Then silence for months now. So if you need to get approval, but the mods are "already working on that" or they want to keep the drafting of ideas like this "in-house", how is anyone supposed to get stuff like this off the ground? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here but it seems like you'd have to go outside of EB to try and start a new Heroica/SoNE/GoH style project unless you're a staffer here. Is that the case?
  24. Preference.
