Ah the Shepherd's Bush would be the one I could visit. Thanks for your opinion! I am spoiled here, in California, there are 3 stores within reason of driving to, for me. I wanted to visit a UK example to compare it to here. Cheers.

I was going to be in London in October, and noticed that the London Westfield Center store was fairly close to where I will be staying. Is this store worth a visit? I am trying to decide to take time to go there, or not. Any feedback would be appreciated! Cheers!

I always go by way of the copyright printing is oriented, as to if it was a 6 or a 9. I think I do have a set that has 9 sets of bags...but darn if I can't remember what it was...It might of been a City theme set..I will try and figure it out.. I did notice the 'period' too though... -

There were just a couple pins per section, so I agree with others, that the leftovers aren't all that many considering how things are packed. Here is what I had leftover. I know for a fact I would of had one more black pin too, but it fell, and of course bounced into the air vent ... Murphy's Law ... and vanished...so strange, I took the grill off and looked with a flashlight and it just plain vanished! I think reason number 1 that they give you a few extras of those smallest parts. I had a beam left over after building the truck cab, and realized I left out the black beam that goes into the lower part of the bumber area, just below the license plate. Only had to pop off 2 parts to fit it in, thankfully! Here is a photo of what I had leftover. -
Nice, I like it. The small gap in the track adds that little clunk clunk sound that is just like a real train going onto a bridge! Cheers

I did a search and I think there were 8 sellers in the USA (18 total, worldwide) that were selling the instructions alone, some listed as 'new' too. Here is a link, to a BrickLink search for the instructions only. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?I=4896-1#T=S&O={%22ii%22:1} This link is to people selling the actual set, some used, some new: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?S=4896-1#T=S&O={%22ii%22:1}

Wow, that has to be the worst black part contrast I have seen yet, in old instructions files... If you want to spend a few dollars, you can buy used paper copies of the instructions for that set on BrickLink. I see them ranging from $1 to about $5, depending on the seller that has them...I would do that, save a lot of trouble and then you have them to keep.

I am not going to try pursuing it anymore, they haven't bothered to respond to my email asking for help getting my profile activated..I will look into the other sites...

It sure could use an air tank, but where could it be fitted? So am sure that's why there isn't. Really have to practice to finesse the controls. Only open one valve at a time too, just doesn't have enough pressure otherwise. It is fun to play around with. Need to be really quick with the switch when lowering too, otherwise it drops like a rock. I still have the dumper box to build, day 4 of half days working on it. -

Something I noticed this morning, after leaving the truck overnight, I put it on top of the instruction book, to hold open the page I left off..and when I picked it up, I noticed that the tires had left oily tread marks on the pages...must be coming out of the rubber, I haven't noticed that before. Going to make sure I don't leave it on anything that would be damaged by it. Does anyone else think that the pneumatics are pretty weak? I get one fast movement, and then it takes a lot of time to get it to move again..I wonder if I have a kink in a line somewhere..its really jammed in there.. -
New LEGO Parts and colors for Summer 2015
talos replied to henrysunset's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I really like the new fence part (19121) I think its in 3 colors so far, the sand green, gold, and newest in lavender. I love the gold version, have used it in several of my MOCs so far. -

FedEx is supposed to deliver mine today, its 'out for delivery' but probably won't show up till late afternoon, so won't have time to start working on it till tomorrow... Looks like a really nice/fun build, can't wait. -
It sounded like he was going to offer products to the initial Kickstarter supporters, keep an eye out for emails, I have been getting them periodically.

-
Since this sank without a paddle, I have gotten a few emails saying that it is still being pushed ahead, and they want to produce the iBrix product anyway. I hope it does happen, all the best!

I realized that I had tried to create an account over the weekend, and would wait a few more days into this week to see if anything materialized..but no, nothing. So I sent an email asking what is going on with my account creation, and now into 2 days, and no response back...

SF Bay Area Lego convention. I don't think this has been advertised here yet, it started today! Sorry for the late notice, I didn't know about it till a couple days ago and I live here! LOL... Here is a link: http://www.bricksbythebay.com/

I got my info from here, still has the prices listed, they copied them over to their site. I somehow typed..a 1 in my other post, I corrected it there..whoops! I bet you are right, its just a push around wagon. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-2016-set-name-listings-on-amazon-de/

I saw a price list for a lot of 2016 sets and the Friends 'Party Train' was listed for just €9.99. Must be pretty small, or not really a 'train' in the traditional sense...maybe just a car?

I just posted an update on Lego Ideas, showing the taxis I wanted to seen at the station. I also have my version of the Emerald Night locomotive attached to the carriages at the platform. I have nicknamed it the 'Smoggy Night' since I used reddish brown instead of the dark green of the original.

Thanks, I am glad you like it. Its so hard to get support beyond a certain point. The barrel is for the building water supply, its there to make the building look older and modified over the many years its been in operation!

What Is It Like To Buy From Brickowl.com?
talos replied to Yzalirk's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have looked, but wasn't able to find what I was needing at the time, so didn't actually order anything. I would be curious to hear from anyone who has, too. I was reading somewhere that the new updates to BrickLink were to make it more like BrickOwl...don't have any more details though. The new BrickLink isn't all that much different from the old one...it does look more up to date though. -
So 1st August has come and went, and I was curious what everyone is buying. Lots of new sets available, well, at least in the first few hours anyway... I had to limit myself to just one set, and I got the Mercedes Arocs 3245 Technic set, (set #42043), which at $230 is about all I am willing to spend at the moment. All these great sets are pushing the price points higher and higher... I have to keep in budget these days! What have you gotten?
-
^tell that to all the spammers that get messages through to me! LOL. I don't know, its very selective if the problem is on my end. If I don't get anything by the end of today, I will try the contact address for them, see if there is a problem, or what...
