That... was an interesting argument while I was gone. I hope not to take part in any again in the future. Anyway, I came up with a REALLY interesting way to have the new story go. I call it a midquel. So we all know that the Toa Mata/Nuva were on random missions at the same time that the Toa Inika/Mahri stuff was going on... am I right? What if this took place on a random island that we've never heard of (Okoto, apparently) in the Matoran Universe at the same time. One that Matoran don't live on (Protectors instead). Just a theory, and I highly doubt it, but it sure is cool to think about. And, just over a week more of speculation until we know a LOT more!

They look lovely, much better than the Racers, and very smooth. I could do without the stickers, however. Seems like January, but late December is usually the norm for New Year sets. -

That new Pakari really does rock. Predictions: In the new canon, Jaller becomes a Toa after Tahu dies by choking on all of the cookies he had been eating. Jaller's destiny is to avenge the Mata leader's death by finding the Mask of Creation that will make Tahu reborn, and murdering all who stands in his way! He also takes Tahu's name in his honor. Oh come on, nobody else thought that was funny?

A continuation? Color me intrigued! Of course, we should wait for further information, but if this is true, I both love and hate the idea. I can't wait to see what will happen, but at the same time, it better not alienate new fans.

I just read a comment on Brickset about the new sets being Hero Factory with the BIONICLE name slapped right on it. Well, yes, they are somewhat right, but... they can't bring back BIONICLE's old building system. The joints were way too prone to breaking. Also, the new gear system and the tribal-inspired designs are clearly reminiscent of the line's original run. The figures hardly look all that robotic. These people should appreciate that BIONICLE is returning next year at all. I just had to laugh at that! But the Skull Spiders are very dissapointing in comparison.

Holy crap, this thing is beast. I finally received my Exo-Suit yesterday, and I wish I had one of these hangars to display it in. Brilliant work!!

I actually REALLY like the new Hau. And the rest of the sets look amazing. Gali's mask looks a lot better now that we get to see it more clearly. And Lewa color scheme (and design) is absolutely beautiful. He has retained his smile! Overall, I'm looking forward to more. At least we don't have to wait until NYCC...

I'm rather looking forward to this new way to attach masks. Who else is? It just doesn't look very Gali to me. Well, the Kaukau Mistika didn't, either... and her new body doesn't look very feminine at all. Breakout Breez looks more like a girl than her.

I'll start: My first set was Krekka, and my last were a bunch of 2001-2002 sets I got all at once from my cousin last month. Hoping to rekindle quite a bit of nostalgia with this. These sets really don't hold a candle to the 2009 Pirates theme, but I am sure I will buy one or two sets, anyway.

Like others have said there, it's like what went on in 2010, but in reverse. In the words of Voltex: "I hadn't actually considered the fact that Bionicle is actually replacing the line that originally replaced it..." But to be honest, I do feel kind of bad for that kid. Have any of you considered that how WE feel about BIONICLE could be the same for many children of this current generation, but for Hero Factory instead? It's sure interesting.

That actually would seem like quite a fair deal. That way, I could spend leftover money on the cheaper Protectors (who really look a lot better than I expected them to be, and definitely have much cooler designs than most of the basic Matoran and Agori we got in G1). Then I can wait for the more expensive (and significant) Toa and LOSS.

Funny, at first glance they look the exact same compared side to side. I could've sworn I saw the flex-pipes in the film! I just received this set last Sunday, and I have fallen in love with it.
