That was just lucky, I'd been working on it for a long time! I broke some U-joints a while back and learned my lesson The color is red, just the pictures were overexposed as you say.

Thanks so much guys for the support! It was a lot of work, and it did turn out pretty decent, and I'm glad it's liked. In answer to the pendular questions, that's cause car doesn't go fast enough to need up and down suspension, and it's the only way to avoid universal joints which would break under the strain of two XL's.

Thanks, rm8! I chose pendular because the car doesn't go fast enough to need up and down suspension, and it's the only way to avoid universal joints which would break under the strain of two XL's.

Hello everyone, Here's my newest MOC, a Mercedes G-Class. After months of hard work, and bugs and fixes, it's finally finished. It was built to incorporate all of the best elements of high-torque gearing with a compact bodywork. It features: -Drive - 2 x XL, geared 4.5 : 1 -Steering - 1 x Servo -Lights - 6 x LED with hidden switch -Suspension - pendular A video showing all features: Pictures:

You're MOC was used as a baseline. I wanted to make a more powerful version. But the chassis is really similar otherwise. The suspension is made for side to side, not up and down, to handle terrain, not comfort. Here's a picture: DSC01100 by teo_technic, on Flickr It uses rubber bands and rubber 1x2's.

Hello everybody. My next MOC is a mini T815 with 8 x 8 drive powered by 2 x L. The model was built to climb the maximum possible slope, while looking good and having high ground clearance. Therefore, the cabin is very heavy too, and all weight very low to stop it from falling over. It also enough torque so as never to run out. Suspension is half-axles, tatra style. A video showing all the features: Another title photo And showing the mechanics: I hope you all like it!

[TC6] Wall-E
Teo LEGO Technic replied to Appie's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Amazing Wall-e! Can't wait to find out more about the 'surprise' feature -
Cylinders would have been ugly to gear, because the gears would have to show, so I decided to use the 8375 mechanism, as it is quite strong. and use the cylinders only as dummies, since they actually look like cylinders.

I already have a flickr account; that's where I saved all the pictures I posted here. Thanks for the advice, Jim!
