[TSotEP] 15 - The Grand Finale (2/2)
Loves Houses replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ah, I love it. Flashy Thingy - what a super idea! *** <Spoiler alarm> *** Bananarite is of course used to gain the world dominance but only works for monkeys. Monkeys get world dominion +14 as a permanent property when they have bananarite. *** <\end Spoiler alarm> *** -flash- What was I saying? Anyway, good job, looking forward to the next flashy story. -
Nice collection. I like the temple front very much, there is an interesting piece on the column heads. And the way the walls seem to float... . Would you have a frontal close-up picture of the roof technique as well?
-
Nice temple, and a good idea with the sun and clouds on the roof. Columns all around, thats neat.

There are some really clever ideas in this, I like the microscope and the Newtons ballance. But the cat is soooo cute, I want it to be alive and not dead and alive at the same time

The Finest Pastry in the Brickworld
Loves Houses replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ah, and this one hopefully stands next to the cocoa factory I've seen before. Cocoa cream cookies with caked icing. Serious Monkey business, that is. Aye! Love all the action going on, all the stirring and mixing and upending and garnishing. Well, long arms and skillful hands; they look totally at ease, enjoying themselves. Remarkable relief over there on the right; like in the old paintings one has the feeling the eyes are following you.- 13 replies

[ETTC Cocoa Factory] Roasting the beans
Loves Houses replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ah, there goes the diet Now I want chocolade. In large quantities...! Love the details of the interior, looks like you could really melt some cocoa butter in there, roast the beans ... I can almost smell the bitter-sweet aroma in the air around me. Also, the outside with the merchants and the bridge looks really lively, and playable. -

Ha, I knew it, I knew it all along, of course - It was the monkeys. Nice combination of 2001 theme and planet of apes - intended?

[MOC] Baker Street 221 B (Holmes & Watson)
Loves Houses replied to ArchitectureFan's topic in LEGO Town
Ohhhh, most of all, it looks exactly like the Original in the new Sherlock Series. The brown couch, armchairs, flooring, hall - I think you should recommend this to Mr. Steven Moffat. I'm sure he'd appreciate. -
Of course he's heard that - and all the other jokes and less joky whining hotel guest of the sort "Why is it called 'ocean view' when my (cheeply booked for the extra-special rate but nobody tells this ;-)) room has a view to the street only..." But Mr. Smith manages all that with a nonchalant smile and feels a little bit more invincible each time it happens.

[MOC] The Golden Age of Chicken Aviation 10
Loves Houses replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Haha, funny. Its more of a little movie. The skunk is nice. And is that stand there in the background from the medieval market? However, for the chicken the day looks more like bronce at max - well, even in a Golden Age not every day can be Golden I suppose.- 3 replies

[MOC] The Prank Call of Cthulhu
Loves Houses replied to Quentin Collins's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Love it - very silly. I didn't even know Cthulhu before, and now I want to read the books. Well done! :alien:- 16 replies

Haha, funny - Yeah, I might consider a few MODs. Thanks to all the others for your comments.

Ah, I really love the interior of Sleepyhead's. But hey, did I miss the pic of Sleepyhead's bed? I mean, we're talking **Sleepy**head. I would imagine he has a really huge and comfy bed.

This is soooo much real life. We all know this scene far too well.

As for my taste lime green works astonishingly well And the interior work is gorgeous - really superior. It looks very cosy and somehow also very Russian. Must be the square deco tiles below the roof.
-
Oh, nice one. The rooftop tower is brilliant! Boats and frogs - my compliments. Would never have come on that idea. How many artists and hippies fit there. I mean, there must be room for all the egos ...
-
Wonderful little house, like the style of the windows with the grey pilars. And the little cafe looks cosy. The balcony on first floor is well done. It could use some more deco on the backside though and who is living here? They seem to be all out currently?
-
... and ... The good thing with Lego is that unlike in real life one can simply turn it round ;-) For Kristel and Venunder I present here an alternate version where the ocean is on the other side  Thanks very much to all for your replies - great motivation push to start the next MOC. :excited:

20% OFF - The famous Grand Hotel Ocean View has re-opened this weekend after a major renovation. Lots of people from all over the world are already shuffling in taking advantage of the nice re-opening deal. Front side of the hotel. Back side of the hotel. The seasoned reception chef Mr. Smith is quite unimpressed by little queues and special request of all sorts. He's heard it all before. The first guest have found their way up to the roof top and are enjoying a sunbath - astonishing as I forgot the stairs. Some more impressions of scenes @ the hotel. For convenience the hotel is right side by side with Palace Cinema and Brick Bank. On hotel booking pages the chambers with showers and king-size beds on belle etage are highlighted. Here is the overview of the elements of the modular build. . More details and pics can be found on Flickr. C&C welcome.
