@dr_spock any chance these changes can be inserted automatically, or do we have to stick to manual slave work?

Do you mean pics and BB-code not showing, etc? This will be fixed by the side grandmasters over the coming days/weeks. It's possible, however, to manually work around this by edit + save of each individual post... time taking though, to say the least. Any particular info you'd like to see fixed for now? EDIT: Now I see what you mean... links seem to be coming back to the Master Index' first post... hmm...

Ahoy, mateys! Time for a ship - first one in a while, therefore something a little larger. The 'Triton' With Oleon's colonial possessions growing in numbers and importance to Crown and nation, His Majesty has decided to reinforce La Royale's 'Flotte de l'Est' with a number of heavy hitters over the next couple of months. The first one that has recently arrived in the waters of New Terra is HRS Triton, a 60 gun Man-of-War, now moored in Breshaun harbor, using Oleon's largest city on LeBellan as her base of operations. Triton is a veteran of the Forty-Nine Years War, one of the few surviving vessels of the Oleander fleet back then, and for some months even served as the Grand Admiral's flagship. She may be old by now, but in the hands of a capable commander she can still deliver a devastating punch to her adversaries. About: As always, all parts exist, so Triton could be built. To be honest, Triton's hull is more than four years old by now. I started her when I wanted to try out a galleon design, but quickly lost interest, as my mind wandered to other projects... well, a clear sign of a very short attention span Anyways, recently I dug her up again and decided to finish her, so she could take her righteous place within BoBS. As Triton is prefab based/limited, she's quite narrow, and the hull technique is rather outdated in my eyes, too, but all in all she doesn't look too ill proportioned. Some numbers: Triton's piece count is a little under 7000, length at waterline is 97 studs, total length 126, beam 20. One day I might try my hands on a more sophisticated galleon design... maybe Until then, I hope Triton serves Oleon well. C&C welcome! Vive le Roi!

[OL-CH4A] Strange herbs make you say strange things
Kolonialbeamter replied to Zaael's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas

[OL-CH4B] Treasure Fleet Part 2
Kolonialbeamter replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Epic story, part II. I had a bucket of popcorn to enjoy it with Glad for Erwin it turned out this way. Hope the Greens will show some gratitude towards him. Franco, your ships are getting better and better, and this new brig has a really nice shape - kudos on a well build vessel Next step is mast design and rigging/sails, right? Hope you eventually find the time to give us some pics with the Black Barbarian (and hopefully the Terraman, too) under sails Keep it up! @Bregir Haha, it's been the Corries after all -
[OL-FB2] Treasure Fleet
Kolonialbeamter replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Woah, epic story, part I. Always a fan of Erwin's endeavors Any chance to see more of that Terraman? Love the figure head, btw. Agree with Bregir, some sails/rigging would suit it nicely. Keep it up! -
[ESL-FB] Water-powered Sawmill
Kolonialbeamter replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Boah, this is a neat sawmill. Well constructed, a clean build, depicting the cutting process - I do like it a lot Just... this... painted... saw blade... argh! Nevermind, no big deal, guess you just didn't have a fitting piece If I had to nitpick, it'd be a lack of plants and general diversity. The mill looks new, but a little close to sort of 'steril'. I'd like to see it 'weathered' a bit more. For the brick wall you could add some plates, SNOTed tiles, headlight bricks, etc. Don't get me wrong, this is just high level nitpicking - you've done a great job with this build - I'll surely 'borrow' some ideas from this Keep it up! -
Thanks, Mike Agree with Titus, map looks awesome

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Kolonialbeamter replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
By explicit request of His Majesty, the loyal subjects of the realm are encouraged to perform their civic duty by contributing to find names for Oleon's newest colonies in the Prio Seas. In his paternal wisdom, His Majesty has instructed the High Council to list a number of names, from which each of His Majesty's loyal subjects is to select the one for each island they deem most fitting. His Majesty will then take these into account when making his decision. Island #3 ('The Old Man's Beard'): Stéphanique Île Beatrice Island #7 ('The Island of Clay'): Île Sous le Vent Saint Arltrees Island #23 ('The Crown'): Île d'Or La Couronne So, from the list above, pick one name for each island and post them here! On Tuesday the 27th we will add the 'suggestions', and the High Council will proclaim the islands' new names. New Islands Information Vive le Roi! -
Cool idea and find, Kurigan To add to that list: A quick (virtual) trip to Portsmouth puts you onto HMS Victory's poop deck, another onto HMS Warrior. Not that much to see there, but still pretty cool.

Ahoy, mateys! Here's my Challenge IV Cat. A entry - witness the return of the dreadful Colonial MinionsTM *evil laughter in the background* What Could Possibly Go Wrong?! Somewhere in Terelli... no, it is Tereli... no no no, it must be Terrelli... oh well, never mind... Somewhere in the capital of Esland... andia. Hmm... no, that's also not quite it, not really simply somewhere in the capital of Eslan... d'oh... ria... Alright, now: In the office of the Secretary of the Eslandian...doliander...ser... ahh, screw this... In the office of the secretary of the Green Nation's Navy. 'Have I made myself clear?' The Green Chief skeptically looked at the guy standing in front of him. 'Why again did I hire him?!' He thought. 'Okay, one more time. Here are two letters. The one in my left hand is meant to be brought directly to the admiral of the Esland... of our fleet. The letter in my right hand is for the chief editor of the Kings Port Advertiser for immediate printing. In short: The letter in my left hand goes to the fleet, the letter in my right hand to the newspaper. Do you understand?' The guy looked at him with a smile that strangely hadn't changed during the whole conversation – what a weirdo. Oh, sorry for that comment, I'm only the narrator here. Anyways, the guy went '…!' 'Right' the Green Chief now remembered the reason for hiring that fellow. 'You guys don't talk much. Yes, yes, yes. Splendid.' He couldn't have sent an official courier to the harbor, it was simply too dangerous these days, as there were spies and corrupt officials everywhere. It's Esland... olia after all. Sorry, another narrator comment. Where were we? Right... Dangerous. And the treasure fleet needed to be absolutely safe! So hiring a bunch of weird guys unable to talk as messengers – nobody would suspect a thing. Brilliant! 'Now, get going!' Confident with his plan, the Green Chief put on a smile, too. 'What could possibly go wrong?!' he thought. Oh, narrator here – again In case you're wondering what's inside these letters... Well, the one intended for the admiral contains a map with the route the fleet is meant to take from Nelissa/Nellisa/Nelisa/Nellissa. And the letter going to the Kings Port Advertiser contains sort of a poster add, reminding every green citizen to keep their mouths shut about state secrets – you know, matters of national security and such, pretty standard these days. Oh, narrator here once more, just FYI, that strange yellow fellow dude wasn't alone: It seems there's a whole bunch of – what shall I call them – minions living underneath the city in the sewers. Effing weird, if you ask me. But no one ever does, so, well, just have a look at them, and I'll leave you to it. Narrator out. And an overview of the map side: Last but not least, a detail of the poster side: about: Well, this was quite some fun bringing back the Colonial MinionsTM. Do they look like guys with a plan to you? Wait and see. You might wanna remember their strange toy for Cat. B What else... The poster is based on a WWII awareness poster, a simple google search will surely show it. As always, all parts exist, and the entire structure can be built, I think - it all fits diagonally on a 32x32 plate. With the right amount of clutch power the sewer water and the sea part with the ship should hold in place, as they are attached to the wall and additionally supported by bars. I hope you enjoy C&C welcome! Vive le Roi!

Always a fan of your stories, Franco Cool depiction of the business at Breshaun's harbor. And lovely interior scene. Oh, and thanks for adding a banana for scale - really helps getting a feeling for the size since there are barely any studs to count

[Cor-CH4A] Undercover for the Final Piece
Kolonialbeamter replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Wow, that Lego magnifying glass really has magnifying capabilities... the more you know. Now, Bregir, cool Cat. A entry and continuation of your and Ayrlego's collab The idea of having a day and a night part in one creation - splendid! It really works well, IMO. Love the ship - any chance to see a frontal shot of the Black Oak? Will you build her up as a whole ship? And who will win - bird or crab? So many questions - I hope some will be answered Nitpicking... the only thing I don't like is your wallpaper And having Montoya sciencing around at the beach just, ähh... strengthens my believe (as an Oleander I just couldn't say proves my point ): You reds are such nerds Now get some plundering done!- 11 replies

[COR-Ch4A] Pieces of a Puzzle
Kolonialbeamter replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A little late to the comment party, but I still wanted to join the praising. Cause that is what this entry deserves. Ayrlego, this is a splendid creation, well designed, well executed, and it allows to portrait a complex story. There are some great details, I'm really a fan of that office, for example The story itself is really cool, and I absolutely love the collab you and Bregir are pulling off The nitpick part is the same as Elostirion mentioned, the bar is a little to clean and bright to be a shady place. But maybe a shady place in Corrington is just also very tidy - you reds are such nerds Great entry, waiting for your Cat. B creation now- 12 replies

[OL - FB] The Aspiration
Kolonialbeamter replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Commenting on a build from page two almost feels like bumping an ancient thread... living the thug life Phred, this is a splendid vessel, both in concept and execution. I really love the incorporation of influences differing from the rather standard western European mostly used here. Also a great way to shine a light on the vast regions to the West. What I really like about this vessel is the rigging/sails, and its artillery, especially the small guns - great design. The only thing I have to nitpick is the use of tiles for the middle part of the white line along the sides - might have been better to use flex tubes all the way to make it smoother - but then you wouldn't have achieved the thickness... IMO you could also have designated her a 5F - she looks darn fast Looking forward to your next ship, too -
