  1. Very nice Sander, I visited you place and had a chat (on Friday). I like how you combine the modular street with the field etc.
  2. Welcome zoth33. Always nice to share your hobby with family members ;)
  3. You will always need to approximate it I guess. LEGO is very much 90-degrees oriented so making this is already amazing ;)
  4. You could add a bogie plate above the wheels of course!
  5. Nice job LegoSjaak, although I'm still wondering what you mean bij "LBG-piece" haha ;) I also wouldn't change it.
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks Roboflincoln, b.t.w. we have an excellent search ;)
  7. Looks really cool!!! I'm not going to show my wife ;) she will be hooked, as I'm typing this she is building her modular bank ;)
  8. That is a very nice train LEGO Train 12 Volts
  9. Very nice job gmshades! Works very well and looks great! Could be a set.
  10. It totally depends on the size of you collection. I generally choose the bricklink categories to store most items: I keep them in 20L / 30L curves boxes that are easily stackable and in that depending on the amount of certain parts put them in ZIP-lock bags. I also have smaller part storage boxes for certain elements.
  11. Very nice guys, I have admired it in real at LEGOWorld. The kids also liked the PF remotes on the fences that could open the bridge etc.
  12. Well in a school one has different goals and necessities of course but it is a noble idea to keep it all LEGO. I visited the LEGO Mindstorms area at LEGOWorld this year. Nice setup also helping kids to appreciate it. In a few weeks the First LEGO League in our region is up and will be a referee for two days then again ;)
  13. Great idea! We also did this but then we controlled it using Arduino's (project for primary school teachers that my high school students worked on). I think tiles are better to see though :)
  14. Welcome Martijn, I also visited LEGO World (last Friday), not that many exhibitors, used to be many more and they promised us it would be a second Skaerback :)
  15. Hi Daniel, welcome to Eurobricks. My nephews like the freight trains best. Built the red one with them not too long ago. I would advice you to get the LiPo, while it is quite expensive it is very, very durable (believe me, I had some of my former high school students torture it) and will last quite some hours on a full load (I use them on exhibitions too). About the ME model track, of course it is nice, but for your son the standard track would be a good start of course :) (note: we in Train tech / Eurobricks are generally already beyond the point that we excuse ourselves for buying LEGO stuff ;))
  16. Problem with transparent is that one will often still need to print a backing, that is why more professional printers will allow to print white first. That is how I do it, but not with a desktop printer then of course although Roland does also have desktop size models that support white inks.
  17. Great job TenderLok! Building larger scales definitely has it's advantages! I really like all those details!
  18. Looks like a great solution jrathfon!
  19. I like the red bogie plate, alas one, but at least now we have those in red again! Now the motor brackets and the buffers ;)
  20. Here are both blue/pink FEC locomotives: 5103.1380334461.jpg @xboxtravis: the UP livery is of course also nice but to rebuild it into LEGO I would also definitely go for the Florida East Coast version.
  21. Nice job brick builder711. Looks very much like the original!
  22. @NathanR: shipping would be a stamp, (€1,25) @Alco: We could but since it is very busy at this time... I still have some backorders that really should have been produced already. We don't print on parts, we print on white and/or transparent vinyl (Roland Versacamm VS300 printer/cutter).
  23. Very nice trains Sunder. Do you have plans too build them too or will they stay in the virtual realm?
  24. We also have them in our ministickers store. They are difficult to print without a machine that can print white and metallic (our machine does). We don't have the ones for the slopes at this moment though.
  25. Stickers should not be damaged by water, it is vinyl (at least that is what we use for repro's) and is also used on cars etc. There recently was a German AFOL that made an aquarium tank. Seems to be that algae will be the largest problem. You could add something to the water of course to get rid of the algae but be careful that stuff might damage LEGO and/or stickers of course (like chlorine). And also make sure you don't put metallic parts underwater. Apart from that, please remove the first part of your post and read the rules about age.
