I've been snooping around their instructions download page (I still don't know it they're called "CaDa" or "Double Eagle"), and, amongst ridiculous LEGO rip-offs (pullback racers with shooting missiles? Really?), they actually have some nice-looking models, like the RC rocket launcher truck or the small-scale Chiron. I feel tempted to download the instructions and adapt them to use only LEGO parts.

You do know BrickController 2 already can control PF via integrated IR (dunno about audio jack adapters, though), right?- 1,316 replies

Technic 2019 Set Discussion

Unless the lever is mounted in some assembly with friction. Of course, that, however, has the disadvantage of draining the remote's batteries quicker. -
Maybe 1.0 is the NXT and 2.0 the EV3? Those are the only other LEGO products (that reached the market, at least) that use Bluetooth.

Using two wave selectors, one servo can switch between three functions. That gives a maximum of 9 functions if there are 3 more motors in the set. -

Well, we already had a forklift transporter (whose B-model was a car transporter, by the way) for a flagship in the past. -
Yes, most are already available. But you'd better off buying the PUp hub (the one on the trains and the Batmobile) on BrickLink: its price at S@H is absurd.

I think someone wrote in this thread earlier that the receiver only charges with the supplied cable, regular Micro USB cables don't work.

I also found it from Jetro on the LAN.

I found a slightly cheaper remote controller set, here. Too bad that it still costs more than 22€, which is problematic for Portuguese customs. Unfortunately I can't find any C51041 anymore at the prices you bought: while it's more expensive, at least it comes with motors. Actually, measuring battery capacity in Wh is more useful than in Ah, since it takes in account the battery's voltage: a 3.7 V 500 mAh battery isn't the same as 22.2 V 500 mAh. To convert Wh in Ah, just divide the watts by volts and you get amperes.

[APP] BrickController2

Yeah, I guess it'd be harder to implement from a UI perspective than a technical one. Have a button, when pressed, turn on (assuming the LED can be turned off) in a colour pre-configured in the profile? Have it change colour depending on the value of the analogue axis (this would be cool when the same control is also assigned to a motor, to graphically show power)? Have a button cycle amongst the colours for each press? Also, I confirm that SBrick operation also works smooth. I didn't have any PF receiver on hand to test IR, but, since PUp and SBrick work, I don't believe it should pose any problems. I don't have any BuWizz to test.- 1,316 replies

My V20 finally received the official update to Android 8.0, and I'm happy to report that BC2 still works fine (at least with PUp). I know it's far from an important feature, but would it be possible to control the PUp hub's LED colour from the app, treating it as a third output? It'd be quite nifty. Also, do you prefer to receive feedback through this topic or via Play Store?- 1,316 replies

I found this site, that appears to have previous versions of the app for download. I have no idea if it's safe, though.

You can always use the parts to make a MOC with a lower centre of gravity and the weight more at the front.

Sariel's review should answer both of your requests. -
If I knew about this issue before updating my phone and tablet, I could have saved an APK backup of the previous version and share it. This is the app I usually use for backups.

I don't think we'll be getting new tracks (I'd like to be proven wrong, though), as we already have two kinds of rubber inserts for the current ones.
-
Yes, and the controls are combined for "tank driving" instead of individual motor control. The resultant functionality, with no sensors or encoded motors, ends up, as I wrote, similar to the Control Centre.

If you have an SBrick you can do it right away, as it's a drop-in replacement to the IR receiver and in this model the swap should be trivial..
