  1. Here is the Bio-containment Armoured Transport - Mobile, or "B.A.T. Mobile" for short. It is based on set 76112 App-Controlled Batmobile, with aesthetic changes to fit the M:Tron style. Instead of being only black (and sometimes very dark grey), it adopts the lovely M:Tron red-and-black with trans-neon-green colour scheme. I also extended the wheel axles to allow the addition of disks for a more futuristic look. Some of the changes were dictated by the lack of versions in the correct colours of some of the parts, most notably the black Tilted Corners 4X4 W/Angle (design ID 43708) in the front and the trans-red Cockpit 6X6X2 (Design ID 35331). Since this is M:Tron we're talking about, obviously I also had to remove the stud shooters. Other changes were mandated by the parts I had at hand... The bio-containment unit window at the top glows when the vehicle is loaded and ready to roll. I intend to bring it to Skærbæk Fan Weekend this year, for you to see it if you're interested.
  2. As a fan of Technic who was already a member of EB before getting abducted to Billund, it's just natural that he still hangs around here. Lots. What can't he share with us? Also lots.
  3. Assuming you're using Android, did you also turn on GPS? I know it's silly, but Bluetooth BLE access also requires GPS to be on.
  4. Don't Land Rovers have live axle suspension instead of independent?
  5. They've already started doing that with their Python support for the EV3.
  6. Does a front winch count as "crane"? (no, I don't know if it has a front winch; in fact, I don't even know if there is really going to be a LEGO Land Rover)
  7. Unless the diodes have a rectifier bridge before them, which is the case with the PF lights and almost surely the PUp ones.
  8. As an expansion, I'm almost sure that it won't contain the hub and most of the motors and sensors.
  9. Most importantly, it shows that TLG themselves also call it "banana gear"!
  10. The one that comes with Boost has an integrated encoder, which allows it to rotate to specific angles or at specific speeds, and to be used as a rotation sensor. The one that comes in WeDo 2.0 and the Batmobile has neither. In a nutshell, the former can be compared to an EV3 medium motor, whereas the latter can be compared to a PF medium motor.
  11. I think it was stated somewhere that the excavator would use two hubs, whatever type they may be.
  12. No, I was told that by a person involved in the project.
  13. I doubt it, at least with the current versions of SPIKE Prime and EV3. The EV3 has a faster processor, more storage (not to mention the Micro SD expansion), a higher-res screen, and more ports (although they're single-purpose, unlike SPIKE Prime's general-purpose).
  14. It's autonomous like the EV3, although it can also work tethered like the Boost hub.
  15. That looks quite interesting. But 6 general-purpose ports can be in some circumstances more limited than the EV3's 4+4 ports, and so far we don't know about its computational capabilities. These two points are important to decide if this replaces or not the EV3.
  16. It might still be an April Fools joke, but, if so, it surely is elaborate: I can confirm that both colours are available for sale at S@H, as well as the 2x4 brick with axle holes (design ID 39789) mentioned in the NE article's comments.
  17. The only chance I see of new tyres is a smaller version of the Xerion ones, on the 42099.
  18. I disagree: if it does come in olive green, it'll be one more colour with an incomplete palette of beams and panels to MOC with.
  19. I'm overall satisfied with the CaDa unit I bought: earlier this week, it managed to power two (official LEGO) L motors under heavy load plugged to a single port without significant performance difference from an SBrick powered by Ni-MH batteries. I didn't test the battery capacity yet, though. I'm not familiar with the official BuWizz app, but from the screenshots posted on those items for sale it seems that they're BuWizz imitations and not the real deal. The fact that the buyer must contact them to get the app instead of downloading it from the store is also suspicious. [edit] Also, isn't the button on the real BuWizz round?
  20. Agreed. Also, a way to copy profiles between devices (for example by copying an XML or JSON or some other format you use) would be very welcome.
  21. Is it just me, or "off-road" vehicles nowadays all seem to have tiny ground clearance?
  22. It moves its axle hole from whatever angle it is at to zero. In fact, the instructions tell you to do just that, to have it correctly set up when assembled in the model.
  23. Both the transmitter and receiver, when they're turned on, are in pairing mode, and will search for each other. When they find each other, they'll pair and you can use them at will. This means that, if you have several pairs of transmitters/receivers, you should turn on one pair at a time.
  24. The easiest way to evaluate scale is compare the cockpit areas and imagine a human sitting there.
