  1. OoC: Might as well buff ourselves again if consumables respawn in the jump. Pandy, take a Mead, JimB, use Nostrums/Meads; I can use a Bone or attack?
  2. Yes; it's a lot like GoH in setting. Myself and a couple other players even entered Historica when it first began using our Heroica characters.
  3. Nice work with the speeder, very sleek. I agree that some detail and machinery on the roof and throughout the building would be a good addition, and I would also do something to smooth out or add detail to the street, something to break up the big flat grey expanse.
  4. Yeah, it would probably be best if discussion on this stayed in BSTF. Thanks!
  5. Lovely work! Very smooth, very clean -- I love the color scheme and the selective use of tan and dark red, and you've done a great job including some little details and angles and curves that really make this feel like sloghtly cramped quarters on a frigate. Very refined look.
  6. It's been posted; see he announcement and the pinned thread. Everybody who's getting XP has been doing free builds. The Core Rules has a full explanation of how to do those and get XP.
  7. I think rogueang means that mechanically speaking, part of the fight is for the right to free build in this location, and he's correct. In-universe, I justify this as your fighting to make as many contacts as possible with the citizens so that they work with you and as the Empire forgets about the planet, there're lots of citizens working with you and preventing you from being found out as you do whatever it is you do in your future free builds. Story-wise, yes, it is an evacuation mission, not an all-out battle for control of the planet. But eventually it leads to control of the planet in the aftermath.
  8. I can't speak for Draggy as far as whether or not it would be allowed in the contest, but micro stuff has been used in Heroica before. I know I did some forced perpective with micro scale models in Quest 4.
  9. I'm not sure right now. It's possible that we'll come back, but we've got so many ideas that it might be a while. Don't forget that you can always build on your episode builds through free builds. (Though you have to be on the winning team to unlock the planet for free builds.)
  10. Yes, it's up to 10 points in the first phase of judging, then the top five of each faction move to the second phase and earn up to 40 points which is added to he first phase and divided by two. So 25 points if you score a 10/10 and move on to the second phase and score a 40/40.
  11. Don't forget the little spots of white; that really helps the effect. (both as bright white light and as steam/smoke in the explosion.)
  12. Don't use the Technic pins to invert stuff. It leaves a gap that almost always looks ugly. Use some headlight bricks with some 1x1 Technic bricks; they'll have dimensions in whole numbers of plates.
  13. No, that doesn't include free builds.
  14. Welcome to EB!
  15. "I must confess that I am a foreigner, so I may not yet have seen enough of the factions to make a fair assessment of them; that is, in fact, part of the reason I'm here. I find the Pongcanae to be barbarians; they have been attacking ships as well as settlements on land. I believe that the Mopag are here to drive off the Pongcanae. But I'm primarily interested in the elves, who my king believes are remnants of a group unfit to rule."
  16. Please don't join just to promote your review on another site. There are already lots of pictures and tutorials on the subject of applying the sticker on EB. Thanks.
  17. I don't believe there was ever a review of 75018 here, but that set is mentioned in the review, so that might be what Google is picking up.
  18. Not bad. It's an interesting and a very plausible situation, and the blue trim of the landspeeder is an Imperial color that works better with the tan than I would think. I'd like to see some more deviation from the design of TLG's landspeeders, and I think that if he was smuggling weapons, someone would be putting those weapons in some sort of covered container. Did you want this build scored?
  19. I was just thinking that it reminded me of BF2's Mygeeto map. On that note, I like the circular platforms; that's obviously a big part of Bespon and you've done well including curves and angles in circles. But I'd remove the arches -- they don't seem very Cloud City-esque. And maybe some more grilles and vents and pipes and the like would help.
  20. None of those are available to the Alliance as free build locations.
  21. That would be okay, I think, but remember that in a diorama or vignette, you're trying to convey a story by capturing a moment of it in that diorama or a vignette, not through a comic. But as long as it's all in the same MOC, one single diorama, then it's fine.
  22. "No, I am a representative of the king of Patuqun, a nation far to the north west of Uland." You approach the outskirts of the village, where numerous tents are lined up around clearings where hoplites sit around wells and smoldering fires. "Halt!" QM Note:A rock falls on Throlar and he is Knocked Out.
  23. Make sure you check with the creator of the character/item/location if you're going to use something that's already been developed.
