  1. So far this info seems to fit in with what we've seen and heard, (Though there's no harm in asking for clarification.) so I don't think I would be too worried myself about the validity of these rumors. We do have source links in the first post to keep track of who's posting rumors and claiming to have some sort of preview source. (and we've said before that posting false info to get a bit of Internet fame is probably going to result in being banned.)
  2. QM Note:Immune to removal of negative effects, I assume. Not a good thing to imbue. "He has chosen this place because it is ripe for conquest, full of defenseless merchants, poorly situated strategically. He will move on when R'kilf is a ghost town that has given up all its possible riches. The Dread Pirate, I do now know where he came from or who he is related to, but I know that he is like no other Pog. He bought the allegiances of his warriors through his own overwhelming physical power. "I care not for the government of the village as long as I get enough customers to survive. No one dares to attack me, and I do not wish to be involved in the petty politics of elves or of men or of anyone else on Olegaia."
  3. You can use a Google search limited to EB.
  4. "Clouded Mind" and "Get your head out of the clouds!", to a Stormie on Bespin. I like the guns and the assorted stuff stacked up on the platforms. The platforms themselves, though, are a little simple, and they're hard to distinguish from what I assume are clouds. I'd definitely do something more detailed/greebled, grey if possible, and maybe a little more angular for the platforms. And the blue baseplate is a little distracting, as Bespin is all orange. The edited photo is fine, by the way.
  5. Interesting. Where did you hear/read this?
  6. "'Give back'? Hah! What can you offer me, dwarf? Do you not think we've tried to capture the Pongcanae? Did you not hear me when I said that we knew where they were headquartered? We have plenty of manpower; the only thing that stands in our way is the fact that the beasts can smell us coming from five thousand studs away. Consider carefully what you say next; you have threatened me, and that will not be so easily remedied by the 'help' you have offered." But upon arriving, you see that the buildings are far from being barracks any more. They've been ransacked and broken down; all that remains are portions of their walls. A statue of a knight sits in the middle of a courtyard, two trunkless legs of stone atop a pedestal. Words are carved into the pedestal, reading, My name is Aphneoshippota, knight of knights: Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair! The rest of the shattered likeness lies scattered about the sandy ground, surrounded by bones, planks, and other remnants of whatever battle destroyed the building.
  7. Could always try the battle-damaged approach for areas where you don't have enough of some type of piece to finish it completely.
  8. "Are you part of the resistance? I've worked for them; I didn't know we had the resources to hire warriors." "You have shown no respect for my interests in this supposed negotiation. If you're only going to try to take my information and use it for your own goals, then I see no reason not to treat you as an enemy, dwarf."

Wood and water, stock and stone I can manage, but there are elves here locked in their tower. The most important of them is Lady Calaryl, who is rarely seen at all. Warlord Kaherdin of the Mopag has done nothing. the leader of the Pongcanae that they call the Dread Pirate Indiacca, he will destroy this village given time. I have heard the other shopkeepers talk of a resistance, led by a knight, a nobleman, but I have seen them do nothing."
  10. You're waiting on your QM who's stuck with computer Internet access at one place and the sets and camera at another location. (And it's completely my fault for forgetting to take a picture of the barracks when I took a picture of the magic shop. ) Three hours and I should be able to move you to the barracks.
  11. Can we get Throlar to go with Dyric in a two-hero, Diplomacy-focused quest, and see what happens?
  12. "If you do not care about the interests of the Mopag High Council, then I have no reason to help you or your interests, either, Master Dwarf!" Warlord Kaherdin spoke forcefully, spitting out the word 'dwarf' as if it were an insult.
  13. OoC: Oh, thanks for rolling without my action, Zeph. Aura should take me to HP 120/120, by the way. I attack Avery from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
  14. The Party on the Outskirts: "We know that he's somewhere in one of the larger houses in the eastern area of the city. We've been pursuing the smaller groups, though, in hopes of thinning out their ranks." "A resistance movement is not acceptable to us. The Mopag High Council has ordered me to control this village and its road to our settlement. I will not support the formation of a movement that could lead to someone else controlling R'kilf." I am Benedict Garrie, once a volunteer of the R'kilf Watch, now the only survivor of my squad after a Pongcanis attack. The Pongcanae, they have ransacked the Marketplace. "The Bank, the Potion Co., the Blacksmith — none have escaped the Pongcanis raids, except the Magic Shop. They will not go in there. They say it's run by a monster, one who has at one time not only kept the company of, but commanded gorgons, basilisks, hydras, and manticores...the witch they call Dala..." Even as Benedict says, this, Arthur, you enter the Magic Shop. A gorgon sits behind an oddly shaped desk, snakes writhing about her head. As you enter, she quickly jerks her head away, looking up from her tome and back towards a mirror set in the wall, clearly set there so she could view her customers without Petrifying them. The shop doesn't have many items, but it has clearly escaped damage. "Good day, young Mystic Knight. How may I, the Witch Dala, serve you?"
  15. Sounds plausible to me! (I assume you mean 'marshes', not 'marches', since you didn't describe what the marches are a border between.)
  16. I'm kind of in the same boat; army building has never seemed to demonstrate much building talent to me. But this display is still impressive, and it is built as a scene with some pillars and a shuttle, not just 'figs on plates.
  17. That looks incredible, Praiter. Some very nice compact SNOT in there. I like the nose you built the best. The one on the left has the exposed stud and he one on the bottom right has a more abrupt transition from the tip to the rest of the nose. The only thing that looks a little 'off' to me is the cockpit area...I think it might be because of those 2x4 wedge plates, which you have angling up, whereas the 'real' X-wing angles down right under the cockpit in the transition from nose to engine area. I'm not sure if there's anything that you need covered up in the area that forces you to orient them the way they are now. Everything else,
  18. Much better. Maybe also try tiling over the entire inside to match the tiled steps, and some greebling next to the turret wouldn't be a bad thing.
  19. Very interesting, Klaus; thanks for sharing. (This is the same source as a couple years ago when you got a look at the retailer's catalog? I consider this list very reliable.) Not very happy about the lack of OT sets, but it makes sense.
  20. We've had that in hi res since GRogall uploaded it in May.
  21. Not bad; you did capture a pirate-y feel in the craft, and while there're a lot of suitable existing canon designs, at the same time, it's not surprising to see a pirate using a ship different from everything else. I would suggest some more greebling or something to cover up the big area of flat grey studs above the engines, and try to flesh out the walls a little more to cover up or smooth out the exposed anti studs inside the vehicle. (Not that thin walls are implausible; the exposed plate bottoms just don't look that good, and seem like wasted space where you could add more detailing: consoles, pipes, wiring, gun mounts...) I think that would really help give the MOC a more finished look. And the photos are a little distracting in their brightness and graininess. I think you might be taking them under dim lighting and then brightening them too much and/or using a camera like a phone or a smaller point-and-shoot that has a small image sensor. Either way, try to increase the amount of lighting you have on the subject when taking the picture, and remember to adjust the contrast and saturation in addition to the brightness when editing, and that should be fixed.
