  1. Well, I don't know if it's easy, but maybe you can use the online cad mecabricks.com. I thought I read somewhere that the author plans to include touch support. But the main problem is; does the browser support WebGL? I know it's possible in the newest version of Chrome (for Android), but it's experimental, you can read here how to turn it on. Anyway, for more questions regarding mecabricks, you can use this topic
  2. No offense, but did you ever used a pc apart from an Ipad? I mean; most people know what a .zip file is...
  3. @superkalle: I don't see any attached images?
  4. I don't know if it's ever been made (although I don't think so), but it's possible for sure. I mean, you probably have to model everything by hand in a program from e.g. AutoDesk and you have to pay a lot of attention to detail (although these days more and more can be automated), but you can get a "perfect" image. In the end it are all pixels (except vector images), so you can also make the image youself pixel by pixel
  5. That render looks fantastic too! And the description says it only took 5 hours to render. And it even looks better (in my opinion) than some of the 100 hour renders created with LDD to POVray
  6. Well, gaps... The missing Star Wars sets seem more like craters to me I too mostly choose sets I don't own and sometimes a set to fill in a gap. I have a table where I can see what's missing from a specific theme in the index, so that's easy to spot one
  7. The render that I always remembered since I first saw it is this one. It's just awesome In my opinion this is the most realistic Lego render I've ever seen. The only things that doesn't look very real in the picture are the threads. You should also take a look at some of his other renders, most of them are very realistic too
  8. That Darth Vader is far more creepier than the original one
  9. It looks nice, but in my opinion this is the least best (I don't want to use the word worst ) of all Inside Tour sets
  10. I was amazed to not see it in this topic (where I expect these news-like things) when I looked a 2 pages back. So, I thought that it probably would've been posted somewhere else, but I could post it anyway for people that only read this 2013 topic
  11. Sorry for the late reply, but I just checked (because I was updating my index file) and I think you misunderstood the "error" message. I know it is the same set with a differnt number, so I just include them all, but the link in there links to a totally different set that isn't any of the three; it links to 6814
  12. Now, that's a nice picture! Not only the render quality, but the whole composition: camera placement, background etc.

  14. I think Unimog wheels would've been better, but other than that: great car!
  15. Well, not all German stores. I went to the Oberhausen store 3 times and I've never seen anything special. Most of the time just normal bricks and plates
  16. 8374 - Williams F1 Team Racers - Racers ERRORS: No patterned parts No minifig Download here
  17. I don't make mocs very often (although there's one that is almost done, you'll see it soon), but I that doesn't mean I don't have a worst moc. My worst moc (as far as I can remember) is this one: (click image)
  18. I haven't made a set either in the past weeks. But that's because I'm working on instructions for a Technic moc of someone else
  19. I don't know if this is of any interest to you, but I recently read that there are 2 versions of the studs in LDraw. There's stud.dat and stu2.dat (or anything like that, I don't remember exactly). Stud.dat has 8 corners and stu2.dat has 16 corners, so is more smooth. LDview usually renders the model with the hq version, but I don't know about exporting...
  20. Barman said on LOWlug (a Dutch lug) that he and Jurgen Krooshoop were asked for the book to be technical reviewers. This is what he said (translated): I hope it's a bit readable, English is not my native , but I think the message is clear.....
  21. It's just a text link in the post: http://cdn-ci24.actonsoftware.com/acton/attachment/2543/f-010a/1/-/-/-/-/image.jpg And it was not too big for people with a 1025x768 monitor, the image is 2000x2645 pixels, so it is too big for any screen unless you got one of the new 4k screens.
  22. I think it is connected to 1 or 2 other chain links whereas the last one is connected to a beam using 2 1-1/2 pins.
