legolijntje replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
If you can send me your file I can edit it for you, if you don't know how to edit the css. -
Thanks for pointing out. At the moment I don't have my index file (that's why there hasn't been an index in a while....), because I had a very annoying virus and I had to reinstall my Windows I have my pc back since last weekend and I'm currently installing all my programs again.

Your Best Technic Bargains
legolijntje replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I shouldn't read this topic.... It makes me frustrated I never come across a great deal But my personal best deal was a complete (but no MISB) non-yellowed 8880 Super Car for €50 Last year I also bought a 8455 Pneumatic Back-Hoe MISB in great condition for €140, which sounds much but isn't very much at all for it's condition, although it can't reach the bargain status of others in this topic . -
Brickstore not highlighting errors

I was thinking the same... -
I was wondering; why is the rubber band not in your render, but it is in the file itself?

Well, if you mean this post by you, there are probably several reasons why it isn't indexed: You edited the post today, probably adding your model. But calabar already updated the index yesterday and he proably didn't saw yyour post, because he already went trough the page when your post was still just a comment. So, if you have a new model to add, just make a new post for it You image is a link, so it is less recognizable as a model-post. If you want to add an image. you can click on the image button, or put your image link between

[Software] LDD Manager
legolijntje replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It would be very useful if you provide some more details like OS type, Office type etc. If possible, you can also share the file. -
Yep, the previous one is by Widetent. A few weeks ago, I discovered too that his models often use the wrong grey color and often don't include a stand (if the set has one). I wanted to fix these, but I haven't found the time yet...

AR Augmented Reality LEGO
legolijntje replied to Nachapon Bricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, I think we all want to know how you made that It looks nice, by the way. It runs very smooth and it really looks like the brick sticks on the paper. -

Well, I don't know too much about asp either, but my knowledge is growing slowly (partly because of a friend who is like a VB master), like it did with html, css and js and is doing with php and ruby. Anyway, I choose for asp back then because 1- I wanted to learn by doing 2- We have all the models (LDD and LDraw) in an access database and asp and access are good friends. Although you can of course just export the access databese to sql or whatever

I once made a simple setup for this with aspx. Sadly, I lost it in a crash Although I don't know if it will work with EB. Of course you can make a site with a repository of all LDD or LDraw files/models, but how do you incorporate it in EB?
-
That looks nice! Altough I haven't any localhost or webserver with php at the moment (I had in the past), I'll sure try this out sometime. It's funny though; I was thinking about the same kind of thing, but for LDraw files

This will probably be my last post in this topic (and EB) for the next days, because I'm away from my pc. I'll see you all on Friday again! LDD 5, what features do YOU want?
legolijntje replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I'm not really a LDD user, I mainly use it to only view models. But I would like something that you can move the "camera"/viewing point. So not only zooming in/out or turning the camera, but also move it. I know I can do this by right-clicking a part, so the camera centers to that part, but I want to be able to freely move around with for example the left and right mouse button pressed while dragging the mouse, just like in SR3D Builder. It's also possible that I'm just missing something and this was possible already a long time ago... I hope it's understandable -
Well, I don't live in the UK, but I think amazon.co.uk might be useful. I don't exactly understand what you need, but you could try searching for "Akro Mils", like this one. They are expensive though, but you can seach the categories on Amazon or use the search bar. I'm sure they have more

Perfect renders - can it be done?
legolijntje replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, there's a program called "LDD to POV-Ray", which (as the name suggests) exports LDD files to POV-ray. There's also a topic about it here (where you can also ask the author of the program questions, if you have any). EDIT: it seems Calabar was a little bit quicker -
You can use LDD to make instructions, although you probably get weird or even impossible instructions for Technic models. You can also use the LDraw tools. You have to use MLcad (or SR3D Builder, although in the end you do need MLcad) and LPub. It's actually not very difficult, but it can be time consuming and the first time can take some extra time because you've never done it before. It also requires you to be able to think ahead, as you have to make the steps yourself and you don't want the instructions to be impossible (and it's even worse to find the error when you just finished everything ). I'm making some instructions for a Technic model at the moment for someone else. I've done instructions in the past, but only for some small models, this time it's a 2000+ parts model... You can read more about making instructions here and some more advanced stuff here. The part you need is defenitly in LDraw. Do you have the newest parts update? Although this part is a little older already, I recommend to just download the whole library again and replace it with your old parts library. About flexible axles; you need LSynth for that. If you used the All in one installer to install your LDraw tools, it's already in MLcad, if not, you need to install it manually. You can read more about LSynth here. If you have more questions, feel free to ask them

Perfect renders - can it be done?
legolijntje replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I also want to add that some people are really good at making renders. Not only the model itself, but the whole thing; lightning, camera position etc. It doesn't neccesarily need to be realistic; some renders are just little pieces of "art". They're beatiful to look at, but instead of using (real life ) paint, they use a computer
