  1. You linked to an image? Is that correct? Do you mean you're still working on it?
  2. Dropbox links not working Well, you could also try BrickSafe
  3. I can't agree more with that It looks weird and realistic. Nice moc
  4. At first glance I didn't noticed how big it is. Looks very, very nice
  5. I think he photoshopped it away What's that mini-unimog btw? A moc of yourself?
  6. I have Windows 8.1 and yes, there are some cases in which I need to grant myself access to do something. But that's very rarely the case (and understandable because that involves things like system32 folder, apps folder etc.). But if you're admin and you had no access to the program files folder Or, I just realize this, you have access, but MLcad doesn't. Try running it as administrator (right click > run as administrator). If it does work then, your security settings are a bit high. Take a look at your UAC (User Account Control) and take a look at how high it is
  7. I take bad photos with an even worse camera on my Nexus 4 (smartphone). Even for smartphones, it's a bad camera. I almost never take photos and when I do, quality doesn't matter... There's a very new Sony DSLR camera in the house here. As you could guess, it's not mine. I may use it of course, I just never do
  8. Ah, that exlpains it. The rare part is available, just on in a store in the US. It's quite useless for me if it's only calculating for stores in the US. I hope you can fix it quickly Is it also possible to select only certain countries?
  9. I wouldn't have found the solution either. That's a solution to remember, not only for LDraw. I've never heard of the VirtualStore folder, probably because I'm always admin on my own pc's. This was definitly a good question with a very good answer
  10. Don't get me wrong! I like it, I like it a lot I just mean that the functions all fit inside the space you've used, I was wondering if it needs all the parts to brace all the functions and make them work or if t could've been simpler "with a bunch of beams here and there" and leave some air inside .
  11. I was wondering though last hour, does it need to be this complex and dense? It's hyper-complex and dense inside, but does it need to be like that? I mean, the functions are almost identical to other excavators, it is just a bit larger and looks quite different. And, other excavators from Lego Technic aren't this dense. Does it have any use? Btw, did anyone know that Sheo has 2 other mocs with building instructions on Rebrickable? I didn't until a minute ago. He has a train and a train station. Such a world of difference
  12. I'm now testing this program. I've never used it (I've always used Brickficiency), but who knows... Maybe it's faster I do wonder, I'm using a quite a big parts list now, but BrickWizard knows after 1 second it can't find a solution? How does it know that so quick? Even with a 7 store combination selected. Obviously it doesn't calculate any solution, it just knows it can't find a solution, but how? EDIT: I've removed a very rare part and now it does calculate solutions. Why doesn't it calculate solutions with the rare part and just tells me there aren't any solutions? Btw, it looks very fast now. Nice! And I like the estimated time remaining, althoug it is estimated
  13. Any comments about how well it works? The driving and operating of the arm?
  14. Haha, I've completely read this and at the end I was Since you can access the files from MLcad, they must exist. Do you use the same harddisk from the old pc or did you copy everything (the models) to a new harddisk from the old one? Maybe you can give a little more detail about the facts. It's a detailed story, but things like the actual folder paths would be nice. And maybe your OS? I understand what you mean (it's a miracle ), it's just always difficult to help with these kind or problems from a distance
  15. Alternative UI is more like LDD. I don't know if you've used LDD, but in LDD the part follows the mouse pointer. With Alternative UI on, SR3D builder will do the same. The part will follow the mouse and when you have (e.g.) a pin selected and you hover over a hole in a beam, the pin will go to that hole automaticly. Personally, I don't like it, but there are a lot who do. Btw, a tip: a lot of people (including me) don't like the default rotation mode. Go to Preferences > User Interface and set the Rotation Mode to LDD like. There's a high chance that one works easier. If you don't like it, just switch it back
  16. Thanks so much sheo for all your hard work on the instructions! According to Rebrickable, I have ~86% of the parts, but I wanted to order most of the missing parts anyway and the other ones are just some basic beams an panels. I hope I can find some time to build this beast
  17. Well, heavy LDraw user here, expecially SR3D Builder. I love it! What exactly do you mean with "SR 3D has lot of functions & parts, but the object manipulation/navigation/grids/snaps etc.. are terrible and taking a lot of time"? I never really used Autodesk (for LDraw at least), but think the problem would be that there aren't a lot of parts available in the correct format... --- btw, I moved the topic to the correct subforum
  18. So, the long awaited index update Sadly, no models from me. I'd love to build and contribute models too (I like to build LDraw models), however, I'm quite busy creating building instructions and I don't have endless time We still got 73 new sets added. With each update, the index gets a little more complete. Thanks everyone! Statistics for last release Records added between: May 19, 2014 and August 24, 2014 Number of sets: 73 ...whereof duplicates: 7 ...whereof alternatives: 12 ...whereof incomplete: 0 ...whereof irregular: 0 New Themes added: 5 New contributors (None) Top contributors C3POwen - 32 sets Darats - 13 sets juraj3579 - 11 sets marco9999 - 7 sets lego2lego - 4 sets papacharly - 3 sets Richie - 1 sets Philo - 1 sets
  19. If you want a part, you can always place a request in the LDraw forums (the "real" one, not here). A lot of times, someone will make it. really friendly people of there
  20. As a followup to my previous post: it seems the undo is crashing most of the times, but not always. Sometimes it doesn't crash. I tried to figure out if there's a special condition when it doesn't crash, but I wasn't able to find it... It loks random (but maybe it isn't)
  21. I love the grilles and they don't look simplistic at all!
  22. Well, you fixed the connected selection bug, but you introduced another bug. You said the undo would be faster, well, the undo doesn't work at all. In fact, it even makes the program crash A quick fix would be very appreciated since I'm constantly pressing undo
  23. Thanks Sergio! Not a big update, but it includes some nice things nonetheles. Especially the connected selection mode fix is something I've been waiting for The faster undo and better 3L axle also sound nice, I'm going to try them later today. Thanks!
  24. @rm8 That first picture is epic! Was it taken for some special event or something? What's the story behind it? Because it looks really profesional and not something you would take in a minute. Very nice one!
  25. What I really like about your renders is that they are often a little scene and not just a static image with the set. You always bring a bit of life into the image with the way you arrange the models and minifigs And, btw, it's very nice that you upload a non scenery version of the file so that it's easy for other users to use
